I read some of our comments here and i feel very sorry for lagosian. many are bias because you are not directly affected or some close to you. Therefore you support the goverment who fails to do is part and push her responsibility to the public. I live in chicago which i believe is a mega city. Up to date there is a track designed for bicycle , pedestrian not to talk of okada. They are all road user and one or goverment stop them from using the road. What i know is AN INJUST TO 1 IS SHOULD BE DEFEND BY OTHER. But because you are not affected you think is ok. Very soon the goverment will still ask for the demolishation of all face-me and face-you to achieve mega city.

my brother you dont need sweeter especially if you are coming to chicago. What you need is warmer that is very tick. And is better to buy used one in kantaguwa . I bought 3 for 2000 Naira. When i got here my host took me to the kantaguwa (i.e salvation army ) the cheapest one i bought there is $13

Concerning job, it depends on th kind of job you are looking for, though I have seen some but I cant do it, its just better to take one's time to get the right one. the secret of this country is that, your host will determine a lot of things about your perception of the whole environment.. my brother i agree with you that your host will influence your choice of career. Speaking from my experience. My host was into nursing assistant kind of job. I was advice to come with specified amount of money to register for the program. Which i did two weeks after i got to us. Under 7weeks when i got to usa have gotten a certified nurse assistant. This is after written and pass board exam. Cos every thing here is attach to one board or the other. I think the moral lesson from that story is come with enough money while coming. Dont hope on your host. Cos in most job you must be train before you are hire. Talk of nursing assistant ,tax driver, security, name it. gst101: i agree its not good to generalize. But some times whem i listen to many people's story, i find it difficult to pity them. I mean, these are people who can afford flight ticket. We all know how much it costs to buy an economic class ticket to most countries nigerians find themselves. If you have that kind of money,it means you are not poor! Why go to buy a flight ticket with the money to a place where you have not been offered a job? Why didnt you just reinvest that money into the business from where you got the money to pay for the flight ticket? That makes more sense than embarking on a journey you are not sure its outcome.

First is your friend (host) aware of this ? If no you might be in problem with him cos you will use his info like address to apply for everything you will benefit. @Adoze . If you can enter US before your interview, the green card is automatic. I will advice you to move to US before you send your package .also indicate you will be interview in the state.

Gentiger: Not at all as long as the facts you supplied during your previous application for visa to the US are consistent with the facts on ground. For instance, if you filed as a married individual in previous visa applications but applied as unmarried (vice-versa) in your DV entry, that could adversely affect your current DV application and the stamped visa which could be revoked for obtaining by false pretense.
All these depend on the timing of your previous applications.

i used the one from birth and my wife used affidavit. The situation Is just like most people use fedex to send package and some like our brother temmytenny use nipost and it was delivered.
