Like I spoke with someone yesterday, I had thought of abandoning the thread to focus on physical businesses but the events of yesterday shows so many dealers still benefit from the informations we share here

Good morning everyone, Oil is going up every morning. Its 12400 ( first grade) and 11K second grade this morning in AKS. As for Lagos, it is really well. First grade is hovering around 17K- 18K while second grade is 15K. Am just waiting to see what this oil would become at peak periods, the price would be ridiculously high. Those wanting to store should endeavor to do so before May runs out.

thats the issue with Don. He doesn't take calls but if you can get through to him his oil quality is excellent. I have done business with him a couple but he still doesn't take my calls sometimes.

You actually do have a tough decision to make, but I will just give few advise.
Not all ExxonMobil contract job pays above 500 especially after graduate internship. There is Hr and service contract, also depending on your years of experience and your supervisors justification that will determine how much you will be paid. I was in your department some year back. In fact EM will make you feel like you are the best but when they want to end your contract , they will not look back.
During my service year and internship I was sent to all the location for work and Lodge in good hotels like the employees. Please if nobody gave you assurance that you will be converted please don't take their kind gesture as they will convert you. I spent 3 year for NYSC and graduate internship, a lil above one year and my contract was terminated without reason. I am not trying to scare you but please be sure of this stuff before making your decision.
But I know the lowest you can get for contract is 250k if you just finish internship you can ask those you are working with. You can get 500k and above if you have like 3years experience and above for. I am speaking for support operations you department don't know for the likes of NPO. Procurement, law, process and control, HR, Gref, Drilling, Emit or payables.

Dangote pay is nothing to write home about. Staff welfare is also very poor except for foreign expatriates who are very well paid. The staff also don't get pay increment the way you presume. To make matters worse, it is 5-year bond for a mere 180k per month? That's steep mehn.

On the other hand, I am not sure the pay for a graduate contract staff in the IOC is up to the amount he/she mentioned. In addition, a contract job is what is is, contract (no job security). Yet, he is only hoping on some form of informal assurance.

This is really between the devil and the deep blue sea. Personally, I will reject Dangote offer if I were in his shoes because of the bond involved and maybe the poor welfare. I will focus on getting scholarships to further my education as a first class graduate while continuing to apply for jobs.

What does the bond entail?

In summary the bond says I will pay some millions if I leave before the 5 years period. Thanks for your advice. Local man is just sad and confused. I will be 29 by November. Above GT Age already.

Am currently with ExxonMobil on graduate internship with the logistics department. There is assurance of conversion to contract after my program but still within logistics dept


Recently I got dangote fertilizer graduate trainee offer with a five year bond. I will be trained overseas and can only leave after five years.

I was thinking NNPC will come through but now I've got to make a choice.

I hold a first class degree in chemical engineering (2018) and am passionate about career.

What would you advice. Does working as a logistic personnel count as an experience, should I accept dangote offer. Am confused. please pardon my typo, am still basking in the euphoria of this heartbreak from NNPC

In terms of pay, Exxon pays above 500 as contract while dangote pays 180k after training.

Finally am glad peace is back.

Truth be told, donparosky is doing great work here and we must commend him for being selfless. Some of self no go teach or give informations freely if we were at his position. Nobody is perfect.
At least I have done business with him through his customer who linked me and I was very comfortable. His only issues is responding to calls and messages sometimes plus his drivers who are very annoying sha!!! but you can't be prefect. He is sincere and has integrity and his oil is quality. I was certain he will change the oil because he has been doing that to me if I have issue.

Donparosky is a man of intergrity. I can say that for someone to hold my money more than 5 million for three months and still supplied on time quality oil o. I just called him and cannot say everything here. He's angry and also confirmed you are one of her closest customers that he values so well because of the customer you gave him.
I think he's angry that you accused him wrongly of intentionally sending you bad oil when you know him and that you people are doing business together for long and he has never done you evil.
He is a nice person. I think you should talk to him tomorrow.

My experience and encounter with donparosky was good. I had 30 kegs bad from 200 kegs he supplied to me here and he replaced them without worries.

Remove medicals from this ur analysis. Appointment letters are issued before medicals & it's all formalities.

some may even be sick or unfit to resume brother. The uncertainty is endless.

After the advert= some weren't qualified
The qualified = some could not resize passport
The registered= some weren't invited for test
The test= some were not invited for interview
The interview = some would be successful
The successful = some won't pass medicals
Those who passed= relocation challenges/ marriage/ fear of next govt privatizing NNPC......name them.
