raumdeuter: How did the world cup end for Lothar? Was it not in disgrace by Croatia with Robert Jarni Mario Stanic and Davor Suker disgracing them?
Sensible people like Lahm Boateng DeLima Dinho all left early to avoid disgrace
Age at last world cup. Lahm 31, Boateng 30 Delima 30 Dinho 26 Schweinsteiger 30 All world cup winners no need to be disgracing themselves like those failures like Terry and Silva
Germany conceded 5 goals at the world cup and about 3 were on Neuer directly the 2 vs Costa Rica and at least 1 vs Japan This whole thing of playing till you’re 50 yrs is really amusing. Same thing with Buffon. You’re one of the finest keepers ever but you’re clearly done. Dude was making mistakes like tomorrow no dey. Na drag them wan drag am comot make Donnaruma play. Same thing with Ronaldo now. Ruining his United legacy because he didn’t know when to give it up |

Roland17: I am one of Rabiot's biggest critic but I think he has had a wonderful tournament up until the England game which was mostly Deschamps fault because his rigidness.. Tbh, he hadn’t faced pressure so far in that midfield and when he did he was all over the place |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Adiwana: 7:52pm On Dec 14, 2022 |
afrodoc2: We can't discard Rabiot's career because of a poor match. Most of the French players played poorly against England, and even Mbappe was not up to his usually high standard.
Additionally, against a low block Rabiot is more useful than Fofana as Rabiot is the better passer of the two. I’m judging based on what I saw against England and why I see a lot of similarities with this game if Rabiot had started. Cause Ziyech on Hernandez with poor coverage from that CM is calling for disaster |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Adiwana: 7:26pm On Dec 14, 2022 |
afrodoc2: Rabiot will be a big miss. Konate might actually be an upgrade on Upamecano as he is better in the air and is usually more focussed. We need to start the game very well and score an early goal, if not the 5-man Moroccan defence will be difficult to break down.
Also we need to utilize Dembele adequately as relying to much on Mbappe will make us easier to defend against. Rabiot was terrible against England. Upamecano is too unstable and erratic and Ziyech would’ve caused him serious problems. |

Kilishihunter: Shebi I dey yarn donstan this thing last week, You have a DM alongside a progressive CM who's far weaker defensively, Neymar who mostly doesn't join the team to press is up as a AM with the forwards, Leaving only two in midfield with casemiro doing most of the defensive work against confirmed controllers and chokers in the croat trio, He then removed paqueta and put Fred instead of guimares or Fabinho, Fred . Modric was toying with Well their loss was a gain afterall cause Brazil dey normally get Argentina number before that Copa America final True. Argentina may win cause it looks like they’re very determined but no way we’re not going to get another Argentina Netherlands game with 20 yellow cards. The Copa final was hard enough, imagine what a World Cup semi final could’ve look like. The outcome of yesterday was very simple. If Argentina scores the first goal, they win comfortably and that’s what happened |

Because una go still come back here come write epistle on how Gavi runs around like a headless chicken and only scored 1 goal in 100 appearances, while oga is being recognized by fifa as the best young player since Andres Iniesta by then somebody else go come yarn us how Gavi played left back and only scored 1 goal |

Ibime: Taguchi will soon get tired of digging
Obviously that comment was my defence of Ronaldo being deserving of 2018 Balon d'Or not Modric
No matter how you like Modric reach, he will be disgraced when compared to Ronaldo as per Madrid 2018 UCL win.
The Croatia world cup standout performance belonged to Perisic and I don't see how Croatia was fantastic in that tournament by penaltying their way through the knockout stage against small teams, only to be disgraced by France in the final. Certainly not enough to snatch Balon d'Or from Ronaldo
Ronaldo simply lost that Balon d'Or because of his rape case. But I'm still happy Modric won that Balon d'Or so Madrid fans can troll Fraudniesta with it. Lmao. Madrid fans knows better than to troll Iniesta with balon d’or. Iniesta has gotten a standing ovation twice at Santiago. One for winning them a World Cup and 2nd for producing an immaculate display in front of them |

donstan18: Nostalgia bias is a very terrible disease that must be erased for people to use their common sense to judge players.
Most of those guys were hyped and overrated.
Do you know how the likes of Benzema, Giroud, Hazard, KDB, Vardy, Rashford, Eriksen, Kane and so many players would have been hyped if they had played in the era of those fraudulent bums?
Neymar is the most talented and best player to ever Grace Brazil. One on one, he’s ahead of Dinho and that insecure Pele.
KDB>>>Zidane Salah>>>Henry Hazard >> Eric Canton and most ManU legends
2 best VVD season will always be bigger and greater than anything those Maldini and Nesta whatever were doing then.
Should I keep naming?
There was no social media to scrutinize and expose those frauds!! France demolished and mutilated Brazil in 1998 and nobody is talking about it till date. France won World Cup and Euros straight, but people only remember Spain doing it.
Those frauds were protected.
Ronaldo and Messi changed football expectations from fans, that’s why it’s difficult for any player to be rated now. Do you know what it means for someone to rate Pele and Maradona ahead of MESSI and Ronaldo??
What insult!!!!!
Kindly go through clips and stats of those overrated players of early and mid 90s, try recall those you watched in late 90s and early 2000s and you’ll understand me. Nothing special, absolutely nothing special.
I only rate players who kept their shiit from when Ronaldo and Messi changed world football and player’s expectations, from when social media started running proper agenda, scrutinization and propaganda.
Not those frauds. Drogba, Cech, Lampard and Terry should count themselves lucky for performing from 2009 till they retired. I don’t know if you’re trolling or not but nobody will take you serious especially with the bolded. Fifa/French football will continue to reward the best footballers with or without stats and YouTube comps and clips. Iniesta/Modric won individual awards without them in peak Ronaldo/Messi era who have all the stats you can ask for in football and players like Musiala/Pedri as they mature into the game will win it over Mbappe/Haaland |

izzou: So Iniesta has a better career than Ronaldo?
Is this your new argument? My argument is that you cannot use personal stats to judge a player. You decided to go down the route, I decided to pull personal stats of Ronaldo to show you how meaningless 100 goals can get if it’s not scored in the biggest stage |

izzou: You don't have to care.
That's what we all care about, and that's why we call a 4 goals in 92 matches profile, a FRAUD. You think I care about 4 goals when one of those goals is a winning goal in a World Cup final?? Ronaldo will gladly give up half of his career goal tallies to score that one goal |

Let's not go back and forth abeg
With Xavi on the podium, Iniesta remains a Fraud.
You can console yourself with when the stat was needed. But like a wise man said up there. You’re the one flip flopping. You told me to concentrate on personal stats and I told you that I don’t care how many goals Ronaldo scored if those goals come against some farmers at Estonia in a meaningless friendly and not against Morocco in a World Cup Quarterfinal. That’s the basis I’ll judge Ronaldo. I don’t care what his role was, the question is where is Ronaldo’s World Cup knockout goal?? |

izzou: When you are ready to access a player based on what his primary role is, please let me know
So Messi is useless if he scores 4 against Croatia, but gets knockout baa? You want me to use a player’s primary role to judge him but will go and pull out stats against Iniesta. I’m pulling out the personal stats of Ronaldo and I’m telling you they’re useless if those stats don’t count when they’re needed. Do you think I’ll judge Ronaldo for having 100+ goals against Estonia and Luxembourg in useless friendlies when he goes missing against Morocco in a World Cup Quarterfinal? |

izzou: You keep clutching on to cups. I don't know why
Ronaldo has over 800 career goals. That's enough to show you that he is good. Why do i need a knockout match to validate him? Why will I validate Ronaldo will 800+ goals without scoring in a World Cup knockout game? Why will I put him anywhere near Messi, Maradona and Pele if he can’t come clutch in the biggest football competition?? He has over 100 career international goals but none of it counts when it mattered most What’s the usefulness of a team scoring 4 goals in a final if you still end up losing the game?? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Adiwana: 11:53am On Dec 12, 2022 |
izzou: You are calling trophies and awards, my brother. That is not what i am interested in.
Show us their individual stats. Lewandowski is a striker. Bring out his career stats as a striker. C'est fini.
Trophies are won by a team effort. Attributing it to one player sounds mischievous to me.
So if Argentina loses tomorrow, we will blame Messi abi? Knowing fully well that he played his part to bring them here.
Just bring the players individual stats. Ronaldo has over 800 goals in his career but can’t even score 1 goal in a knockout game in a World Cup. For that reason all those goals he scored is absolutely meaningless since he can’t even attribute one in the most footballing event. How is Ronaldo a GOAT if he can’t even score not to talk about winning the World Cup trophy? |
