No better successful dribble

making unnecessary early runs(brazil had 3 offsides, 2 were Vinicius')

Wasting a good 1on1 chance in the first half after being played in by a beautiful cross from Raphinha

Wasting another good chance late in the game...a 2 against 1 counter attacking chance, he didn't pass the ball neither did he make a successful dribble.

These are valid points to cap a display as nonsense.

I want Brazil to win this tournament, so i want the best for all the players including Vinicius
Football this days is just play 80 mins of nonsense, score a goal or get an assist, folks will come online and call you world class, smh.

Southgate is going to cost us the chance of doing something major in this tournament. None of these supposed tournament favourites have looked a cut above England as everyone was hyping them up to be.

Brazil are looking very pedestrian and ordinary. Argentina haven't impressed, Spain and France have been decent but not amazing, Germany ok. These favourites are there for the taking man.
England have not been great too and were outplayed by US.

I think this is the World Cup where SouthGate’s pragmatism may actually pay off. Match day 2 with only 2 teams eliminated and only France qualifying for the next round so far tells you the whole approach of everybody. Can’t afford slip ups

Aboubakar must be an expert at timing runs because for the last two goals, he looked well offside when the camera panned to him.
Why he is not starting, I don’t know. Arguably the best player at the last afcon and is not even starting a game here

It's so tight you blink and you miss the chance to qualify.
Funny thing is I wasn't really expecting much from this tournament as pe Nigeria is not playing but man, I am entertained! cheesy
I thought that with the way the groups were set up, it’s was always going to go one way. Also with the whole politics leading to the tournament, I thought it was going to be a big distraction.

Saudi Arabia winning their game against Argentina really changed a lot so far. Big teams are more cautious in their approach and are not underestimating anybody again. Things you love to see

And it's just MD2? Bring it ON!
It’s been a great tournament so far. Even the draw games have been good.

Heading into W3 and almost all teams still have a chance to qualify. May be the most unpredictable World Cup ever

Told you it's not just Africans. This is football, this is why we love it.
We see this every weekend in different leagues and competitions. It's the human factor. It's the beautiful game of football.
I know it’s football but it’s just so obvious with us and na our major problem. We can get that part right, no way we’re not going far in this competitions

imo, they need to move the ball quicker and be decisive.

And Mitrovic gets his goal. grin
I talk am. 3 shots on target, 3 goals in a World Cup. It’s so frustrating watching African teams make the same mistake all the time

You can say that again bro but not sure if its applicable to only African football.
That said, Cameroon have to lift their game, they are still very much in it at this stage.
That has been our biggest problem as a continent. Reason Afcon is filled with a lot of 0-0 and 1-0 games. Nobody takes risks and as soon as you concede, it feels like there’s no way back.

For Cameroon, They’re not utilizing their wingers enough as that’s where they could cause problems. The players are not closing down the Serbian players giving them enough time on the ball. Need to put the ball more wide and close down more balls.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Adiwana: 11:54am On Nov 28, 2022
Cameroon just perfectly summarizes what’s wrong with African football. Be in total control, concede a goal, then mentally collapse.

Musiala below

I love the fact that Gavi and pedri are now the standards of all youngstars in the world

Musiala is good though
Dude is good but i hate it when people rely on stats or few flashes of brilliance to judge a whole game.

Pedri for how good he was yesterday gave away some unnecessary balls that could’ve cost his team in the first half. Stats and comps will not show that

Musiala passed through this mountain to drop assist
One successful dribble with Gavi doing his job to draw a foul and a scoffed assist and he is the best player in the world. Dude almost cost his team a point yesterday by missing a sitter and was wasteful against Japan which led his team losing.

Folk’s won’t watch a football match. Just rely on Twitter and Livescore ratings

Last Euro, one of the best players until the time he was knocked out of the competition because of his rubbish team.

Lewandoski has always done his bit for that team. Can’t blame him for playing with a bunch of mediocre players

I can’t for the life of me don’t understand why smaller teams in tournament football aren’t aggressive in their approach to this so called big teams. Block passing lanes, be in their face all the time and this teams have 0 clue what to do.

Hungary have proven that this approach works. This teams come into this games expecting to have the ball all the time and have easy win. Change of approach easily disrupts their rhythm

To think Argentina were outplayed is crazy. Lost the midfield and aerial battles and those fullbacks didn’t allow Di Maria and Tagfliago play anything.

African teams should take a clue on this and be aggressive on their opponents and play without fear.

The fact that we dont like LGBTQ and beer doesn't change the fact that Qatar is just being unfair.

But e don pass. I expect another drama to happen in the future[/color]
There’s nothing like being unfair. You go to someone’s house, you follow their rules. It’s as simple as that.

Idris Gueye didn’t want to wear the rainbow branded jersey at PSG, he quietly sat out the match.

USA will be hosting the next World Cup. Iran or Qatar cannot come to America and decide to wear kill all gays branded jerseys or arm bands. You come, play the tournament and go home

Has anyone seen the Netflix series about the FIFA corruption scandal..

As in

Africans still fit suffer for like 75 years with the kind of representatives we have in international organizations...

Other countries made deals beneficial to their economies

Issa Hayatou. Amos Adamu and Amouma pam their own for pocket

Apparently Investing in PSG was like a "payment" for platini's vote
No be small thing dey happen there. There’s hardly insights into what actually goes on behind the scenes with football transfers, player contracts, countries hosting tournaments, sponsorship deals and how football clubs are actually run. The whole thing with Barcelona is a little glimpse of what happens behind the scenes and even at that half of the story is not even told.

Uefa is another organization nobody talks about. Why are they vehemently opposing the super league?

There’s too much money involved and with more state owned clubs, it’s going to be a big rabbit hole to go down if football is to be looked at a microscopic level.

At the end of the day fans generally don’t care. They just want their clubs to sign the best players and win titles.
