Frankie started as a double pivot with Bus and was trying to carry the ball from defense to attack. When we lost the ball, we were utterly exposed cause Pedri himself was also further up the same pitch. When Koeman stopped tinkering with that set-up and reverted to just Bus in that DM, we beat an Athletic Bilbao convincingly and almost won La Liga

We just need to need to just play with the same setup as Spain. Leave Bus in front of the defense. Allow De Jong to drop a little bit to move the ball from defense to attack. Him and Pedri can do this very well and are very good at pressing. No need of Messi dropping so deep to create chances. Then hopefully Aguero and Depay can get their shooting boots on. We'll be the team to beat next season

He has been back to back man of the match and is arguably has been the best player on he field today.

Spain struggled without him playing Rodri when the tournament started because he had covid. Since he came back, the team has functioned much better and it's no coincidence he's bagging the awards while the team seemed to have clicked since then.

He's playing well because Enrique knows he's quality and not playing him out of position or making him press. He's job is to beat the press, break the lines and protect that back 4. Making him to press or advance the ball doesn't make sense where players like Koke, Pedro are available.

Credit where it's due. I always knew Koeman was the man for the job and always wanted him prior to Sentien. He spearheaded the revival of Netherland national team that was on the brink of total collapse and I believe he'll do the same here.

It took him quite a while to get us going. The impressive thing he has done so far is work on our mentality on the pitch. We have scrapped wins,did come backs that normally we would give up on and even having such a poor game against PSG in the first leg, we didnt let our heads drop for a second.

This small teams will always get 10 men behind the balls so why are we not stretching them by getting Alba and Dest bombing forward. From Getafe to Atletico now Cadiz all used same formula to beat us. If they are going to sit and try to counter us,just get extra men there are stretch that backline.

Physically, we're really rubbish. What was that defender doing for that goal.A centre defender getting out some like that is really disturbing. We easily get out muscled. Pedri,Trincao,Dest all really have 0 physicality and get easily bullied

The Pedri part is definitely not true. If there is one thing I like Keoman for, it is because he plays Pedri. Pedri wasn't so effective for some parts of the match, but he made many brilliant plays and would have gotten at least 2 assists today, especially that good back pass he gave to Griezmann.
During the 2and half, he grew massively into the game, and he was playing like one very experienced player.

There's nothing he does Puig won't do over again. Fati went off and our attack down the left handside was dead except Alba who bombed forward. Apart from Alba that side,Pedri was offering absolutely nothing. Just some side ways pass.

Fati actually takes players on and creates spaces to shoot but this guy was doing none of that. Give him the ball and he will just turn around and pass it back like Trincao. Dude had 0 take ons in the 2nd half and didn't create any key pass in the half despite playing full 90 mins. Apart from that back heel pass to Griezmann,he didn't do anything

Busquet could hold on to a ball he received for a second. Always wanted to give it out immediately and that was so annoying given that he was one to best players that actually knew how to hold up play and distribute effectively. He was really poor in tracking back especially in the first half when Betis had a big chance. He was no where to be seen.

He pretty much started playing ok when we had firm grip of the game.

Pedri played the entire game as a CAM occasionally drifting to the wide and played absolutely nonsense. He was not creative, couldn't even complete a pass and was just horrendous. The painful part was that he played the same nonsense against Alaves. He's always trying to play some finesse pass,dribble and he absolutely can't shoot.

I get Koeman trying to channel everything away from Messi and trying to find some replacement for Messi by tasking Pedri to take more responsibilities but the truth is that this guy just can't do it. Busquet and Jordi Alba are done and should be moved on the next summer transfer window. There was a counter attack in the first half that Jordi Alba didn't track back for and dude lost his man for Dynamo's goal. The two players have honestly been very bad.

De Jong should never play defense again. Fati should work on his finishing. No footworks from him but finishing still has a lot to be done. MATS and Fati are the only positives from the game. The two goalkeepers were really exceptional

A lot of work needs to be done and Koeman from his reactions knows that. We first need to make sure this senior players never play for us next season. A total overhaul is needed from the defense to the attack. I don't see us winning anything this season tbh.

Here's what i think

1. Messi has lost interest in Barca, the Messi i know hardly gets dispossessed but you and i probably lost count as to how many times Messi was dispossessed

2. Team Dynamics is very poor
Barca should start living their life without putting Messi in the picture, he wants to leave the tewm in the first place.

The team dynamics for me wasn't that poor as we moved a lot of the ball without Messi but I do agree that we desperately need to sign good players.

The keeper is in close proximity and giving the ball to the keeper at that range with an attacker breathing down his neck puts some unnecessary pressure on the goalkeeper. He was in complete control of that situation and just gifted Alaves an unnecessary goal
