k.o.n.y:
In modern times the term black was a word black americans embraced to describe ourselves. Its a word used to describe blacks in america not the entire diaspora. America is so influential that the term black became imposed on anyone that is darkskinned and of some type of african descent ie-caribbeans and africans

And north america is a continent, south america is a continent. But we all know america is used to describe the 50 states. In which we are from. Im from new york city and im an american not an african
1. It still doesn't change the fact there is really no such thing as "black people" or "white people." By the way, "black" was not first used in the U.S.

2. America is a continent, not a country, my geographically-challenged friend. North, south, and central are geographic locators. Together, they make up America, and calling the United States "America" is incorrect. These are facts, not bullcrap beliefs from you or some other $tupid nationalist. Keep up that bullcrap line from your second paragraph.

Kony, there is no such thing as "black" people or "white" people or "brown" people or any other dumb color coded nonsense. Color doesn't equal race, especially since race is not real. Oh, by the way, America is a continent, not a country. Everybody in the western hemisphere is American technically. And whether you like it or not, you're African. Why? Look at the comment made by Denise216. By the way, Denise, why should a culture benefit humanity? How are cultures in West and Southern Africa not original? And the reason there's no cure for cancer is because the insurance companies look at healthcare as a business.

DaRapture:
LOL, since when did you start using Afro-American instead of African-American? LOL. Are we feeling a bit more disconnect lately behind kisser?  undecided
African-American, Afro-American, black American, who cares? Use whatever terminology you want. And as for your accusation about me, you don't know me and my life. I go after ANYBODY who displays hatred and ignorance. It doesn't matter if it's a white nationalist (Hertsnite) or an African (davidylan) or an African-American (kony).

MandingoII:
Its clear you two low level baboons didnt read this board. Figures, most africans believe what they are told instead of what is FACT.

blacks in the carribbean and the states are not ashamed of black britons for their behaviour. We undestand whiteys oppression.
Shut up.

What's the point of this question? I can't stand $tupid people. It doesn't matter where you're from. If you don't shower, you'll smell bad. I've come across smelly Afro-Americans and smelly Caucasians. See how $tupid you are, annita19 and DaRapture?
CultureRe: I Need An African American Friend by ADM1(m): 3:59am On Aug 14, 2011
DaRapture, shut the bleep up. A whole lot of the rioters in England were white, not just black and Asian. And you fail at sarcasm, if that's what you were trying to do. Just shut up.

Solbil, I don't think you meant any harm. Just be careful in choosing your words and be careful of idiots like DaRapture and kony.

Foreign AffairsRe: Without Colonialism Sub-Saharan Africa Still Be In The Stone Age by ADM1(m): 5:17pm On Aug 12, 2011
You white nationalists slay me.

1. There is nothing about white people that is superior to non-whites. Nothing.

2. It's funny how you idiots never mention the amount of Africans killed and enslaved by European colonialists. I guess you just like patting yourselves on the back for conquering and killing natives throughout the world.

3. What makes you think the Australian Aboriginals, Africans, Native American Indians, and others did not have a civilization? You never heard of the societies Africans had and American Indians had? You know, people who like believing they're superior often have self-esteem issues.

4. Why is it you people have little to no knowledge about world history and act ahistorical? Should I list all the wars and conflicts started by Europeans mostly against Europeans in Europe? Because the majority of the wars and conflicts that existed were started by Europeans.

5. I always hear folks like you say things like "keep Muslims out" or "keep Mexicans out" or "keep blacks out." Well, I guess you should've stayed in Europe if you didn't want these folks in "your lands."

I'm done for now, little man, but I'll be on the lookout.

I apologize for misunderstanding your comment, SAFO.

Lepasharon, this has been discussed a billion times, so I'll make this short. There are many Afro-Americans and Africans that are very ignorant about each other. They mostly get their views from the media or personal experiences that were negative. My first comment was a sarcastic jab. People who think that way on both sides need to, in my opinion, have honest conversations about the way some ignorant a-holes think. But both sides have their own problems to deal with. I hope this is the last time I see a thread like this.
CultureRe: Why Do (some) Nigerians Abroad Despise Black Americans? by ADM1(m): 4:54pm On Aug 11, 2011
SAFO, what do you mean black Americans can't identify with their culture? Newsflash: All groups have a culture. The majority of music that exist today were created by black/Afro-Americans from house music in Chicago to jazz music in New Orleans to hip-hop music in New York City. Those music genres, along with others, set the stage for the global pop culture the exists now.

davidylan:
Generally (doesnt mean all) lazy, unmotivated to move out of the ghetto and give their kids a future, forever blaming slavery for why they cant brush their teeth, overly dependent on the government, violence-prone, criminally minded, irresponsible rearing of children with no family structure or hope for the future, mediocrity reigns supreme among them . . .
You can say the same thing about whites and Hispanics since most gangs in the U.S. are Hispanic and most welfare recipients are white. Yes, that is a fact whether you like it or not. And you think laziness exists among one group of people? I can also say why some black Americans are prejudice against uppity Africans: false sense of superiority, talking about others being prone to violence when some African countries have ethnic conflicts and civil wars, trying to separate from other blacks when non-blacks look at all blacks as the same, likes to talk trash about black Americans as if they know every black American but doesn't mind claiming to be black when it's a benefit, etc. Hey, I can be stereotypical, prejudice, and hateful, too.
CultureRe: Why Do Africans Look At Black Americans As A Source Of Shame? by ADM1(m): 8:04pm On Jul 26, 2011
Both Kool Herc and Afrika Bambaataa and others were instrumental in hip-hop's creation, but Kool Herc did come up with the break. Bambaataa and others then used it.

There you go again with the "I'm-better-than-you" nonsense, as if the only stuff done by black folks that's positive are in the U.S. Look at comments by ezeagu and PhysicsQED for help in knowing things.
CultureRe: Why Do Africans Look At Black Americans As A Source Of Shame? by ADM1(m): 3:48pm On Jul 25, 2011
From the post above, I can see ignorance knows no bounds. It's sad how some people view others in a negative light, whether Africans on black Americans or whatever. I guess this is human nature. All I can say is this: stop begging for acceptance, don't be a closed-minded fool who thinks only negatively about other people and cultures, and don't take what others think of you as gospel.
