Easy question which you won't be able to answer. Again, you cannot just add 6km range to Paveway just because you feel like it. There is a specific reason the manufacturer said 14km.

LOL. Yes. They will travel same distance. The way you should look at what was quoted by the manufacturer is a NOMINAL value rated to certain conditions. If I launch a glider or glide bomb rated 14km into a tail wind I can achieve even up to 20km. If however the control signals are such that they fade at 14km and that was the reason for rating it at 14km then that is a different thing because my glide bomb will just float away and get lost.

The glide bomb is a bomb on a kite. The weight of the bomb wants to bring it down, the wings will keep it up and other control surfaces will steer it. The distance, direction, impact point is everything acting together . The timing of the explosion is in the fuze.

Apparently the deal is very good. It comes with tons of weapons, maintenance facilities and training. It is possibly a contract ceiling for now and we will probably draw down a few hundred million on it every year meaning 4 to 5 aircraft with weapons by 2018 and more the following year and so on.

Very clever to acquire capability this way.

It is also the full capability acquisition including patrolling, finding terrorists, sending and receiving information data and video, killing terrorists then resuming patrol et.c. All these at $500 per flying hour. Good stuff.
