halimaabi:YOU GUYS KEEP ON TRYING TO EARN YOUR SALARY Buhari was educated far above WASC and was always qualified to contest elections at three different occasions in the past and is qualified now as well. If PDP does not like it they should go to the courts. However Buhari will win in February so we might have the first case of a sitting judge being thrown into prison if the court processes are tampered with in anyway. We hear the President whose PhD had always been in doubt did not write a proper thesis before being awarded the degree of doctorate. We would like to see that thesis and send it for forensics around plagiarism and intellectual property violation. We understand that a full 90% of PhD theses in Nigeria are in a major part copy cat work. If we find only a small evidence of this, APC should invoke all internationally existing laws yo make sure the President is stripped of his PhD and he is disqualified from office. |
macof:Are you sure?. IBB gave them Abuja. Mohamed gave them refinery and they dont produce.oil, ABU used to be No. 4 university in Africa, grondnut pyramids were the pride of Nigeria many years ago. When northern leaders were in power they used to pay people for going to university and jobs were waiting when they finished. You can keep deceiving yourself. |
THIS CROWD IS NOT FOR JONATHAN. I HEARD HIS NAME MENTIONED TWICE THROUGH OUT THE WHOLE CAMPAIGN. THIS IS SHEKARAU AND SAMBO'S CROWD. MAYBE SOME ABACHA. |
kennydee05:My brother I am tired of un intellectual but averagely intelligent people. The summary they are talking about summarises results to some decimal places that wont show very low numbers of subjects taken. To even suggest that in 1961 when the north was under the protection of the british over other tribes, they will accept yoruba but not Hausa for WASC is just the kind of intelligence without intellect that we are talking about. |
talktofemi:If you don't accept that Yaradua was his classmate, then your problem is a little more than can be solved here because we have photos, interviews, biographies et.c. Somebody has also pointed out that the story about Yaradua joining the army in 1959 is not true. Wikipedia is just a user maintained site with only 60% reliability. Buhari at many interviews also mentioned serving and retired justices of the supreme court as his classmates. This case is going nowhere and PDP itself is backtracking because Na bad case. It is based on falsehood, wrong premises Will bring bad voter backlash in the North including North Central. You guys bring up real issues for debate. |
cjrane:You should ask WAEC yourself. Personally I got my WASC certificate ten years after taking the exams. If I had changed addresses I probably won't have received it. I entered higher institution with AR (Awaiting Results) status as the school received the batch results from WAEC at every admissions cycle. For many years I was using the schools statement t of WASC exams results like the one shown above. This result can be issued retroactively like the school has done here, I think you should apply for your own. I think approximately 50% of Nigerians actually took WASC exams, passed but don't have the certificates as we speak. |
GEJ's final year B.Sc project and M.Sc thesis are almost definitely okay. The PhD is extremely suspect and I know the APC does not really have time for unnecessary and time wasting forensics on PhD award processes. However I am almost certain Jonathan did not merit that Uniport/UNN supervised PhD. |
HzRF:You are not very intelligent. You have a knack for forensics but dint have the discipline or the patience. Look at the no. of decimal places the percentages are summarized to and do some calculations as to what could have happened if only about 100 people sat for it. In 1961 they were taking exams in Yoruba in WASC, why won't it be the same for Hausa. Since you people have been spreading the yarn that Hausas have been enslaving you the Ibos, does it not stand to reason that they would be offering Hausa in WASC for purely cultural imperialism purposes alone?. |
onatisi:Yorubas?...PDP?..which kind of Ibo Man is writing this FALSEHOOD on behalf of Yorubas. Even when OBJ was president, the party was struggling in Yoruba land. PDP that killed Bola Ige. PDP under whose president (Obasanjo) they kidnapped a whole governor of a state in the East and most Ibos were looking around and doing nothing. By right no right thinking Nigerian should be supporting that party that is under Gods judgement and won't last beyond February, 2015. That is the party you an Ibo Man is saying Yorubas hearts are for. A lot of you guys don't understand the fundamentals of Nigeria. Occultic political forces are draining your blood and they have started in your children's own and you are all standing mumu because you have sold your self to TRIBALISM. Very stupid statement, Yorubas are for PDP of Omisore, of Fayose, of Ogunlewe, of Bode George?. Come on my friend stop smoking overdried stuff. The only fairly decent people in PDP are the Akinjides and the Jimi Agabjes and we true Yoruba have everybody properly classified. |
Uncletony:Who told you that anybody is saying that the picture was his picture when he was in secondary school. Does your WASC result and testimonial have your picture?. The picture was added by the school only recently but I think the certificate is genuine. |
sbaks:I read an interview of the General given more than a year ago in which he confessed to hating mathematics in school and though he liked geography, he only started to appreciate it during map reading and field work when he joined the army. Humble, authentic, unpretentious and powerful. |
gogochocolate:This is why people say your generation is stupid and lacking g in breadth. All you know is local Nigerian stuff. WAEC and JAMB were computerised much later than 1961. You need to take information and process it. Show some intellectual depth. Because you are a Jonathan supporter does not mean you must be clueless. You can be different. |
Deltagiant:Yorubas are not narrow minded. We are not going with an inferior president. Jonathan is corrupt and unintelligent and it is becoming hard for parade him in the international community. This rally you see is about SHEKARAU, MUAZU and to a minority extent SAMBO.The owner of Kano is however Kwankwanso himself so everybody is just deceiving himself. Jonathan has just a marginal role to play here and you know it. He is a spectator in a rally organised by his party to challenge Kwankwanso' s machinery. |
bushdoc9919:Fear don kill you finish. Buhari is winning against Jonathan in 30 states and you people want APC to change to Kwakwanso. Tell your chicken hearted candidate that he has not seen anything yet. You say the man Wii die in office, it did not work, you say he has no certificate, it is not working now you want your opponents to change to another candidate. Very childish, you guys better grit your loins and face the punishment coming in February 14. The disgrace will be total and Jonathan will be the second president in Nigeria to hand over to the incumbent. The first was Shonekan of the ING. |
The FEAR of BUHARI should be embraced by Jonathan and his supporters. There is nothing they can do about it. It is their destruction coming and they are watching the train coming to sweep them away. |
What a silly statement. People have been taking admission exams into universities on awaiting results status of WASC for a long time. For the army then, being educated to form six and having sound recommendations from the Scholl principal was good enough. No rules were violated as at the time. You guys should discuss issues and leave insubstantial matters. In any case WASC of the time was better than many degree certificates now. |
There is no case here. All the documents with the Nigerian Army proves it. The man was educated to WASC level, joined the Nigerian Army voluntarily and was accepted on the recommendation of his school principal (a British man), attended many courses and obtained a PSC in India. Further advanced trainings in the US. There is no case. This is a professional military officer. |
same2u:No you are wrong. Presidency is not a job you apply for on the basis of certificates. Please don't denigrate the office. Basic formal education is all that is required. |
kay1one:Illiteracy is the inability to read and write in a particular language. So you and millions of other half educated Nigerians have been using the word wrongly. Intellectually lazy supporters of the most questionable PhD certificate holder President in history. So Buhari is not illiterate. Let me also continue your education since it is obviously very poor. Illiteracy in a language is better than lack of education and these two are better than lack of ability to reason (intellectual ability) which most of you don't have. |
HzRF:You have not read what I wrote. There was no quota system in 1961 when Buhari joins the army. Get an education stop being a half educated Nigerian. Do your research, dig into facts, it takes time but it is rewarding. |
kay1one:Ok so some education is necessary for you. The word ILLITERATE is mostly abused by people like you because you are all half educated. The Nigerian educational system has been going down since the seventies and graduates cannot even write a simple letter without mistakes anymore. So what is the meaning of the word illiterate? Tell me whether using that word in this context is even correct. In a country where a PhD holder President goes on the state box to campaign speaking very poor English and making childish arguments it is not surprising that his supporters are mostly like him. |
KwoiZabo:The elections are just beginning and Jonathan has lost. The constitution says the man is qualified. The man joined the army after basic education he did not need an actual certificate to join the army in the sixties. A testimonial and recommendation letter sufficed. He was not going on to become a clerk. The recommendation letter itself was not even written by a Nigerian so let us get that straight. Also this period was long before the era of QUOTA system whch was what a lot of half educated young Jonathan supporters don't even know. There were lots of northerners in the Nigerian Army because southerners looked down on that profession. Neither political leaders however actively encouraged the recruitment of young soldiers from the region. Quota system as government policy to encourage all tribes representation in government institutions started in the seventies and old Rivers State and even cross rivers state were some of the beneficiaries. The people who used to complain most about quota system were SW, not even S.East or South South. |
eaglechild:Read your constitution, the document does not want to see any certificates. Also go to the dictionary and read what perjury means. |
tomakint:What titles for goodness sake?. The guy attended professional military training and advanced military officers training to discharge duties to Nigeria which he did sterlingly as GOD, beating Chadian and Cameroonian invasions, solving Maitatsine riots before it became an insurgency. Please what titles?. Is education for service delivery in your profession or to feel a cupboard with meaningless papers? What kind of office clerk mentality are you people bringing into governance. |
donphilopus:"Educated to at least School certificate or its equivalent". Some people don't read and understand. There is also the UN- emancipated mentality of carrying paper qualification culture into political leadership. The constitution does not need or want to sight any certificates. Most privileged children don't even use WASC to get admitted to foreign schools anyway. Thanks to Wikes NECO/WAEC mass failure of recent years. |
sirwilly1:He also mistakenly called Amaechi the governor of Imo State, and so what?. I am still voting him for President. Sai Buhari. GMB for CIC in FeBuhari. |
Vicotex:Most Jonathan supporters are like you. Completely without decorum, empty souls following a known incompetent blindly. Just look at what you posted again, calling a married woman hoe?. Very soon you will become like the cursed Fayose, spending N20million to predict someone else's death on a newspaper. This is how the cookie crumbles, I am sure Jonathan has lost the election by a wide margin already. |
InvertedHammer:You can't disqualify him when he has been trained above school certificate many times since 1961. People are just scared of this man and will get themselves into trouble soon. The man was governor, minister, head of state and PTF chief. Later contested elections three times and it is now you bring this up?. I think the PDP is going to anger the North a great deal before the elections if this idiocy continues and we will see the effect at the polls. |
johhnnie:This is a sign of very poor exposure. You think anybody gives a damn about paper qualifications these days?. You better get serious and smell coffee. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates did not finish school, many founders and runners of businesses did not have time for school. Many south American leaders are in office with rather modest academician c qualifications. However your President with the PhD is the one well known as being incapable of sustained thinking or following a reasonable train of thought for any length of time. In this campaigns alone we have heard the worst kinds of public statements ever to come from a man pursuing public office. |
Thinkr:The man was educated to school certificate before he joined the army. In the sixties a school testimonial and recommendation letter was enough to join a lot of government institutions. How could you call somebody a cheat when he was duly interviewed and found qualified by an admissions board and by the way Nigeria then had not degraded to what you had now. Cheating in this context is claiming you have a certificate you don't have, Buhari did not. The military school and subsequent trainings were all professional education. What I don't understand is your well worn blinkers that the only basic qualification for anything is school certificate. |
Sacluxpaint:Namadii' s certificates got burnt in a fire. The APC being a mature party has not even brought that up. The problem with Jonathan is that the PDP is not anchoring his campaign because the PDP is essentially dead. What you have around the President is real "low brow". Drinking partners, court jesters, occasional sycophants (who may not really be as bad as the drinking partners). Everybody in the Jonathan camp is just doing his own thing in an uncoordinated manner because the real strategists have left or have been marginalized and are sulking. Care must also be taken the way some battles are being fought. The likes of PDP Chairman Muazu, Shekarau, Sule Lamido do not like childish street sense stuff like Fayose' s advertorial for instance and even furthermore a lot of verbiage aimed at Buhari should be censored in house for cultural sensitivity in the north before the diminishing returns on the campaigns get worse. |
atbu1983:This is what a lot of people don't know. The spirit of the letter of that constitution section was to prevent an out and out illiterate from coming into power. It essentially says you ''must be educated to" or above school cert or its equivalent. For a man who has attended army officer training and foreign courses, it is the height of 'illiteracy' to claim he is not qualified because they cannot find the WASC paper. The presidency is too important for us to choose people based on paper qualification. The incumbent president has a 'PhD' but does not know his left from right and has been the frequent butt of ridicules and cleverly disguised insults from other foreign leaders. We hope the press conference will lay matters to rest otherwise it is just another unnecessary distraction like the one about the man dying in office was. |
