Hello Nairalanders, please come to my rescue.

My neighbour and I have been sharing one prepaid meter for about 3 months now. We recharge 5k worth of units expecting it to last for months Unfortunately, it doesn't last more than a week. My neighbours regularly use their twin hotplates to cook, water heater jug, one fridge and a freezer, they iron frequently and also failed to replace their bulbs with energy saving bulbs.

Please Nairalanders, what can I do about this? I'm sick and tired of everything.
Please I need suggestions.

Hello I am just seeing your post. Another solution to this is for each of you to get similar submeters each between the shared meter and each flat. This meter will measure individual power consumption of each flat.
When it is time to buy credit each person pays Based on how much they consumed.
You can get submeters like the ones in the picture for 8k-10k each.
U don't need phcn for that. I have two for sale at present.

Let me not bore you guys with my relationship history but this girl is my first love, i met her while i was in school 300l. Ever since then i have always been there for her despite even having a low budget as student because I'm not from a wealthy home, even her parents has times10 more than my family. All she do is stay on social media, snap and post and look for who will send her money. No skills, i have begged her several times to look for something to be doing she refused and tells me how her dad won't allow her. She doesn't listen to me, always feel like boss when little money enter her hand. Guys i really love her but i think it is time to seek help because i will regret if this continues.

Except all you want from a woman is her beauty and occasional sex which you pay dearly for and all she wants from a man is his ability to be an atm machine.
If not then grow a spine, risk the relationship and state your expectations and let her state hers.

Good morning nairalanders, I am forced to post because of an inverter installation that will not allow me move forward to see if anyone can proffer a solution.
Around end of October last year I proposed and installed a Zinox Ipower 5KvA Transformer series for a client.
Right from the first day after connecting the batteries it didn't work, instead a fault light came on.
I called the Zinox people and they said I should bring it to their service center. Which we did. It took almost two months of going back and forth to get a replacement.
I even insisted on using one of their installers to do it so they will not say my installation was faulty.
They installed it toward the end of December.
They used circuit breakers for the battery connection and phcn connection .
A day after the installation one of the circuit breakers( the one connected to batteries) tripped off they switched it back on.
Just Just last Sunday at 9pm, the clients wife called to say the same circuit breaker suddenly got burnt. I asked them to buy another one to replace it the next day.
This they did only to find out that the inverter has packed up once again.
I called them and as usual they said I should bring it to their office.
Which the client said he won't do till the installer comes to drop the inverter.

Guys, this client had a genus 3KvA inverter which I installed for him three years back, which we didn't even use any of those safety gadgets for and I never received a single call for support from them.
The same 3kva genus inverter was removed and has been working in another location since November last year with no problems reported.

Ever since I replaced it with the Zinox 5KvA Ipower inverter it has been one problem after the other even with all the safety gadgets in place.

The client who paid for this inverter 3 months ago hasn't even enjoyed it for up to a month.
I have even lost all the profit I made on it. But my main concern is not to lose my reputation and the clients trust.

I have used other Ipower products in the past without issues and so I wonder why their transformer series which should be more rugged is now a stumbling block.

I would please like if someone who has used or is familiar with that kind of inverter can tell me his experience and what he did to resolve it.

The truth is that the Discos are scamming, exploiting and extorting us.
I recently helped a client source prepaid meters to be installed in an estate with a fairly large number of apartments.
I was shocked to find out how much a good prepaid meter really costs.
A good one can be purchased for between N12k and 15k final landing price.
I can assure you that what they are selling for 38k and above may have been bought at these prices.
In fact in other places you can purchase your own STS standard prepaid meter and get it registered with the disco in charge of your area before installing it.
But in Nigeria they they won't even allow you due to greed.
Filling bulky forms is just a method they use to make such an easy task appear complex.
Don't know how far up the ladder this scam runs.
But its s big possibility that the supervising ministry and leadership are involved.

What you are asking for is at least twice the cost of this one . Then you need to purchase a software licence which runs into thousands of dollars; in order to vend recharge tokens or credit.
