Hmmm better by far indeed! I remembered the days of writing exams just immediately after new year celebration, I remembered the days of dress code including Id cards things....I remembered the days of struggling to get a seat in the library during exam periods. I can't forget the delicious amala at iya yusuf restaurant and the fried(curry) and jollof rice at sister biggs(Lagos hostel). Young po413: @Op,ask that your friend if she has ever dumped someone who was really much in love with her?as in if she has broken someones heart before, because only female heartbreakers deserves to be treated this way.You took the words out of my mouth! Nice contributions so far but many of the contributors neglected the most important question. Have we all forgotten about Karma? What goes around come around. @ op, please am very sorry for this but I think you need to answer the question above so that we can learn one or two things, most especially those of us that play with people's heart. Thanks |
Hi everyone, I've been thinkly lately about marriage and religion and I can't just make any reasonable conclusion on my own, so I decided to share it and ask for your views. It's very obvious at least from research that many ladies are more than ready to forfeit their religion when it comes to marriage, but why? Let me share a short story with you. There is this lady that I know back then, she is some years older and also of a different religion to the guy she was dating. Infact, this lady is strong in faith when it comes to her religion, she observes her prayer regurlarly, she is clean to a fault, homely and nice as well to the extent that many good guys that shared the same religion with her won't mind marrying her instantly. But she is more than ready to throw her religion away just to marry her dream guy who has a different religion. Please, what can we conclude out of this? Is it that ladies don't really care much about religion or marriage takes preference? Or is it the joy of marriage and motherhood that drive their decision? Or is it Love? It beats my imagination to reason out why on earth will someone be more than willing to forfeit paradise all for the sake of marriage at least if you believe you are on the right path(religion). Because, I for one can't leave my religion which I believe is the only Way the Truth and The Life for any thing be it marriage or something else. You are all welcome to share your opinion. |

paddy4destiny: Nairaland programmers are php and java freaks. Try http://www.stackoverflow.com Learn here if u have time. Thanks Paddy, I''ll check it out. |
kimco: This is my take on premarital sex. In the days of old, people married early, so having premarital sex was seen as a sin cos i mean b4 18 or even 16, some even younger and u've already had sex, u gotta be a serious wh.ore. However, these days people have to think of how to settle dwn b4 marrying and that's like 27yrs least for males and 25 for females least for females, generally speaking. Also with sex everywhere in our daily lives, it'll be insane not to have sex, we'll be forced to masturbate...i have never dne it b4 and i'll never do it, ever. However, jumping from one person to anoda, is jux not ryt and for me damn stupid. It'll be extremely wicked for religious leaders not to identify with this problem and come to a compromise. Our God is a God of reason and compromise, he isn't that stiff odawise we wouldn't have had his son die for us and most def would have had the earth swallow us immediately we sinned. Besydes if we're to abide by the everything in the bible....then we wouldn't even be here talking... so pls when u open ur mouth to say things u think make u look smart, u think about the other rules that apply to u that u aren't even following. Thank uAre you implying that God often adjust? Nevertheless the foundation of the God standed sure, having this seal, the Lord knoweth them that are His. And, let anyone that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. 2Timothy 2vs19. You see my friend, God is not a respecter of anybody and will never adjust His Standard in any way. |
Adaeze003: Oh jeez... This alpha male crap again. Don't know why but this kind of talk makes me sick.smhPlease don't look for cheap points by taking a fair advantage. You excerpt my post and analyse it without looking at it as a whole. Maybe you should go back and read the whole post again then you will see that all points pointed to the fact that ladies should not be promiscuous because if they do, they will pay for it dearly. The issue of marrying more than one wife by an African man was just an example to illustrate the effect's of ladies promiscuity on guys. And finally oh yes! Am an African man and am proud to be one. |
Write a Matlab program, following the coding standard, that takes as input (the coefficients of ) an nth-degree polynomial and a starting point, and which then uses Newton-Raphson’s method to find the nearest stationary point of the polynomial . The program should consist of precisely the following (not more, not less): • A function NewtonRaphson (in the file NewtonRaphson.m) that takes as input (i) a vector containing the coefficients of the polynomial considered, (ii) a starting point, and (iii) a tolerance parameter (for checking convergence), and then executes the main iteration loop while storing the iterates xj , j = 0, 1, . . .. After converging (i.e. when |xj+1−xj | < T, where T is the tolerance parameter) the function should return a vector containing the iterates with the stationary point as the last element in that vector. • A function Polynomial (in the file Polynomial.m) which takes x and the n+1 coefficients of an nth-degree polynomial a0, a1, . . . , an as input, and returns the value f(x) = a0 + a1x + . . . + anxn. • A function PolynomialDifferentiation (in the file PolynomialDifferentiation.m) which takes the n+1 coefficients of an nth-degree polynomial a0, a1, . . . , an and the order k of the derivative as input and returns the n + 1 − k coefficients of the kth derivative of the polynomial. Example: if the input polynomial is 1 + 2x + 3x2 and k = 1, the input coeffi- cents are (1, 2, 3), and the output coefficients should be (2, 6) If, instead, k = 2, the output coefficients should instead be (6) (a vector with one element). If k = 3, an empty vector should be returned. • A function NewtonRaphsonStep (in the file NewtonRaphsonStep.m) which car- ries out a Newton-Raphson iteration step as in taking xj , f'(xj) and f''(xj) as input, and returning xj+1. • A function PlotIterations, which should be called after the end of the main loop, and which plots the polynomial (in an appropriate range, both in the horizontal and vertical directions) as well as the iterates (as circles) xj , j = 0, 1, . . .. • A main script Main.m that defines the polynomial coefficients and starting point, calls the NewtonRaphson function with these parameters and finally calls PlotIterations as in the following example: polynomialCoefficients = [10 -2 -1 1]; % Defines the polynomial 10 - 2x - x^2 + x^3 startingPoint = 2; tolerance = 0.0001; iterationValues = NewtonRaphson(polynomialCoefficients, startingPoint, tolerance); PlotIterations(polynomialCoefficients, iterationValues); Thanks in anticipation. |
pc guru: As long as you don't have much substantial amount of sample there will always be a sampling error, even Statistics states thatAs much as I acquiesce with your statistical facts the truth is still obvious. In any random sample of 10 ladies, the probability of those that are most likely to support the motion will still be strictly greater than 0.5, which will still verify my assertion. Also, you should note that I used the word "may" in my claim which gives room for the benefit of doubt. |
pc guru: goes both ways not just the girls.. be objective when dealing with issues like this and frankly i find it disturbing that in the whole millions of Nigerian girls, you decided to use these samples to represent 95%. I loyally bow down to your statistical prowessI understand your thoughts, but I must tell you that my judgement was not bias. Infact, it was evident from the video that out of all the ladies being interviewed, it was only one that went against the motion. Is that not a probability that approaches 1 as the number increases? Do the calculation again my friend and you will dicover that my judgement was based on pure statistics with data obtained randomly. I stand to be corrected if otherwise. |
Princess zoe: Don't mind them, you asked the right question. The world is perverted and there is nothing anybody can do about that so therefore, any man who needs a good and faithful wife should equally be a good and faithful husband. God is a respecter of nobody. He will judge according to His standard and tradition or culture will not save anybody on the day of accountability. The bible says everybody should flee from adultery. You reap the seeds you sow whether good or bad.Nobody is disputing the fact that he asked the right question. The truth is that you ladies are the cause of unfaithfulness of guys, how? Firstly, most young ladies of nowadays are promiscous and before a guy open his mouth to woo them they have already opened their legs. If ladies should refuse giving in to most guys do you think there will be unfaithfulness among guys? Secondly, it's always obvious on the female body, I mean the promiscuous ones, or how do you tell if a guy has slept with let say 10 ladies before marriage? the answer is in the obvious "no" but reverse is the case with ladies. And if any man marries a lady that has been depleted internally by several guys do you think such man won't want to look outside? So what are we saying? I can continue ad continue but I will stop here for you to ponder on the above. Gone are those days of our grand mothers whereby they started with one and ended with one....little wonder why most of them can stand straight and pee unlike the ladies of today.... |
demelza: Are the men themselves faithful?Wether men are faithful or not is the issue. Are we not in Africa/Nigeria where a man is entitled to marry more than one wife? Can a woman try that without being labelled a prostitute? These are questions that have been answered before you and I were born. So, what we are saying here is that ladies should try and cultivate a sincere habit in other to make a good wife for their future husband, whether a man is faithful or not does not really count because we married them into our house and not the other way round. Just for practical case, have you ever heard of a situation whereby a wife sent her husband out of her house due to infidelity? Such cases are very rare unless of course the man in question is a "gbewudani" hence the reasons why the issue of fidelity is more important to the ladies because they stood on the loosing side. Nevertheless, am not implying that men should not be faithful, at least they should be faithful for righteousness sake. |
I was bewildered after watching this video on you tube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lw3uAqT2iQE If this is really true then am afraid for our generation, cuz the set of ladies that are prevailing now may not be sincere. Little wonder why many marriages collapse due to infidelity which usually occurs as a result of the insatiable nature of the ladies in areas like se.x, finance etc. Am really so sad cuz it's pathetic to think that our future wives may not be loyal. Judging from the comments of those ladies in the vidoes then am afraid. |
