CORRIGENDUM ON THE VISIT OF PDP AKWA IBOM STATE PDP POLITICAL STAKEHOLDERS TO THE PRESIDENT-ELECT GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI (GCFR).

In the last few hours, a section of the Nigerian news media has been awashed with the visit of an equally sectional visit of the PDP stakeholders to the President –elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, General Muhammadu Buhari ( GCFR), yesterday at Abuja.
That visit was lead by the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and proud life member of the PDP Board of Trustees, Obong Victor Attah. Commendable as the visit was, in appraising the President- elect of his immediate challenge in office regarding Akwa Ibom State, the media misquoted the delegation as that of the stakeholders of the APC in Akwa Ibom State, a development that could confuse the President –elect or at least mislead him.
The APC Akwa Ibom State Chapter wishes to correct that there is no way a courtesy call of the PDP BOT members, Senators, Gubernatorial Candidates of the PDP in the just concluded elections, candidates of the PDP for various political offices in the same elections and other elders of the PDP in Akwa Ibom State neither of whom is a card carrying member of the APC nor is registered in the register of the APC anywhere in Nigeria, would pass for a visit of ‘ a delegation of stakeholders of APC Akwa Ibom State…’.
It was therefore very misleading of a section of the media to have advertised it as such.
Save for the presence of three suborned members of the State Exco of the APC who are hoping for appointment into the uncertain incoming PDP government of Akwa Ibom State, it was more dignifying of the media to have correctly informed Nigerians that a delegation of the Akwa Ibom State PDP leaders were on visit to the President-elect and was gladly welcomed by the fatherly favor of the President-elect whose policy is to be available to every Nigerian or groups, no matter how treacherous, altruistic or disguising they might be.
For the avoidance of doubt, the APC, Akwa Ibom State Chapter, like every other State Chapter of the Party in Nigeria, is at the verge of a courtesy visit with their President- elect, to be led by National officers , BOT members, national legislator and other elders of the Party, very soon, to share with their President-elect the joy, expectations and challenges of their victory at the just concluded national polls.
Those who are perhaps playing the bogeyman of hijacking of the State Chapter of the party instead of nursing the casualty of the first electoral defeats of their party in years, would better be warned to keep off stirring needless confusion within the APC in Akwa Ibom State if they have lost out in the power struggle in their party.

all the persons on the visit are all those that Gov. Akpabio denied their rights in the PDP and l guess they are all PDP members. What is the pretence Come to look at it these are the same persons that persecuted the and caused the murders of the devoted APC in 2011. PRESS  STATEMENT BY APC INTERGRITY GROUP ON THE ONGOING CAMPAIGN OF CALUMNY AGAINST THE REPUTATION OF SEN.JOHN . JAMES AKPAN-UDOEDEHE

Our attention has been drawn to a false media publication in the WEEKEND GUIDE NEWSPAPER of MAY 2,2015 a newshouse with no fixed address and several other local newspapers, that Sen.J. J Akpanudoedehe is BEGGING governor Godswill Akpabio for money and position of commisioner.

We wish to categorically state here, as one of his support group, that the claims is false and an insult to the distinguished senator and leader of the APC in Akwa Ibom state.

Ordinarily such cheap fraud and blackmail, could have been ignored but because it is designed to give credibility to a group of traitors with corrupt antecedent  and to deceive majority of APC grassroot supporters on why a weak candidature with fraudulent image was  planted in the APC to avert the will of  the people.

We will not hesitate to go against and persecute henceforth, any person/newspaper who engage in a campaign of calumny against  the senator’s name without verification. Information on publications such as these do not represent the interest of the masses and are sponsored for selfish interest.

Our people have been impoverished by by a government which the architect and engine room to all the evil that prevailed is now  in the APC, They know who he is and have not hidden that fact.

No amount of propaganda against the distinguished senator will prevail.if these people are actually progressive minded how come they continued, barrage on sen j.j. Udoedehe,a man who built the platform on which they now sit.

We are also not part of the ongoing endorsements known to be organized by the state party chairman with some chapter chairman where recognition is being given to the charade of April 11 as free and fair.

 While we are supporting every action being taken by our great party to reclaim our mandate at the polls, we must not be seen as approaching justice with unclean hands and discord.

These various acts of lifting signatures from attendance registers at meeting to issue communique without people consent, must stop henceforth.  it is alien to the apc.

We will resist any attempt to substitute names without adhering to the provisions of the apc constitution either for the purpose of deposing affidavits for the election petitions tribunal or public relations stunts.

 What this band of crooks,and pen for hired who refered to APC supporters as "miscreants", have done by constantly, demonizing  Udoedehe is criminal and calls to question the nature of the people who aspires to occupy the highest office in the state. 

It is pertinent to remind the people, in case they have forgotten, that while they were in government busy plotting the destruction of the people, Sen. John James Udoedehe stood by the people these past eight years, suffering personal deprivation and imprisonment in the process. He was discharged and acquitted of treason charges, after three years in court and has not only visited the children orphaned in that struggle but has also adopted them as his own. All are attending schools at his behest with a hope for a better future.

Senator John Udoedehe it was who led the people in that epic struggle. His vehicle was sprayed with machine gun fire. He survived on account of the bullet proof resistance of his conveyor.Arrested and kept under the ground, removed and stuffed into a putrid smelling prison, flown for over five hours mid air to be demoralized, slapped by the Federal police acting in concert with State authorities even in the face of the court which looked on, impotent, as lawlessness reigned supreme; charged for even treason against his fatherland with the consent of the President of the republic, as he sought to give his people an alternative to the incumbent PDP government of his State, Senator John Udoedehe did not blink. He stood for the people. The people reciprocated with real love.

Udoedehe,have deployed lawyers to the cases of those tried or detained in  various detention centers around the country on the defunct AC N cases & others whose matters are on Appeal as in suit no CA/C/472c/2014 have had Senior Counsels assigned them.

He has lost several business prospects from NNMC Oku Iboku,QUALITY ceramics itu,he has had his oil licenses withdrawn plus a school in Abuja demolished,nearly lost the wife.

The  pay back can never  be  character assassination. 

 

Finally, it is important for Akwa Ibom people to know that these group of people trying to destroy a good man in Sen. J. J. Udoedehe particularly certain members of the ruling class in the State and their hangers on are people,who rued his love affair with the  common people. There is no doubt that they have failed in their beat, to present to the people  a counterfeit and are looking for whom to blame for their folly.

Facts have emerged over the swindling of a gubernatorial candidate of Akwa Ibom State of a whopping N50 million over a plot to get the Police headquarters to redeploy the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mr Gabriel Achong.

It would be recalled that following a woeful outing at the last Presidential election in Akwa Ibom state, Umana Umana has waged a relentless war to have the Commissioner of Police, Mr Achong and the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mr Austin Okojie transferred from the state. He is said to have lobbied for a compliant Compol and REC to be posted to Akwa Ibom State to conduct the gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.

The Akwa Ibom guber candidate according to a source at the Police headquarters was swindled of the sum at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja last week when some people who posed as close associates of the Inspector General of Police assured him that if he parted with N50 million the IG would accede to him to have the CP transferred. He is said to have given them the equivalent of N50 million in dollars.

The source said: “the man is very desperate to become the Governor and sees Mr Achong as standing between his ambition since the CP had not agreed to be induced by him. He believes if he succeeds in getting a compliant CP posted to Akwa Ibom State, he would assist him in rigging the elections in his favour,” he said.

We gathered that the UOU (as he is popularly called)was convinced to part with the princely sum with the hope that a signal would be sent from the Police headquarters immediately for the redeployment of Mr Achong. The jubilant guber candidate upon his return from Abuja last week is said to have informed close associates that the redeployment of Mr Achong was a “done deal” and that a new CP would be posted to Akwa Ibom State before the guber polls.

The associates of the guber candidate are said to have been overjoyed by the news of the impending transfer of the CP that they rushed out a news story that Mr Achong had been transferred without stating where he was transferred to nor who who was taking over from him. Trouble however started when the expected signal was not forthcoming and it dawned on the guber candidate that he may have been duped.

The furious candidate is said to have been livid with anger and called the Inspector General of Police to ask why Mr Achong had not been transferred. The IG is said to have informed him that the transfer of senior police officers is not done at the whims and caprices of individuals and threatened to arrest whoever had dragged his name into the bribery mess.

For now, Umana has decided to lick his wounds but is said to be making frantic efforts through some Northern members of his party to have the CP posted out before the guber polls. So far the efforts are said not to be yielding any result even as we gathered that he has vowed never to give up on the campaign to have Mr Achong transferred.

The source at the Police headquarters however confirmed that there was no plan to transfer Mr Achong, who we learnt may be bowing out of service by May 2015.
