So what happened to the $16 billion dollars meant for Independent power plants that suddenly disappeared? How did OBJ suddenly get almost N2 billion naira to build a library and even more funds to float his own private university? How did OBJ suddenly find billions of naira to transform Otta farms which was completely decrepit and bankrupt before he became President of Nigeria?

PoliticsRe: Ten Reasons Why Buhari Will Succeed by adoyi81: 12:42pm On Apr 18, 2015
steppin:
5 Reasons why Buhari won't succeed;
1. He's not qualified to contest but contested anyway.
2. His reason for contesting all these years is not to make Nigeria better, but to get back at his enemies.
3. He's clueless and has no idea how democracy and the economy works eg I'll make a Dollar to one Naira, I'll stablize world oil prices, I'll pay 5000 Naira to millions of unemployed youths etc. Please tell me, how is this not being clueless?
4. He is surrounded by looters and criminals in a new form shouting change. Eg Mr Tinoobu
5. He's a religious fanatic. He believes in no other religion except muslim. The VP pastor stunt is just a ruse to win election and sadly some baggers fell for it.
6.He has never lead in a democratic setting, where you have diverse opinions to issues, unlike the military setting, where the presidio words are laws.
7.His promised to absorb the civilian JTF in bornu state into the Nigeria army, meaning 85 percent of NA will be populated by the Hausa's/Fulani's.
8.His alliance with the Americans will drive away potential Chinese investors, who have been driving African economy.
BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE NOT EXPECTING ,FOR THEY SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

PoliticsRe: Four Reasons Why Jonathan Surrendered Easily by adoyi81: 7:57am On Apr 01, 2015
SammyHoe:
No Civilian President would have done lesser than what Jonathan does(Accepting defeat). All the other presidents who stuck to power in the past have military background, so Jona hasn't done anything spectacular and I don't think he has made any history contrary to the songs many people here are singing.

Now here are my reasons for saying he hasn't made any history:

1. There are international observers everywhere and any nonsense will get him Gbagboed into International prison because they have declared the election as FREE AND FAIR. Remember Charles Taylor, Laurent Gbagbo and Gaddafi. They are all soldiers who are not scared a bit of prison or death, that's why they never stopped fighting. But for GEJ, he is not strong; a civillian like you and I, not ready to languish in prison. Obama himself made allusion to Nigeria election a day before it held, so that is enough to send some sensation of fear into the spine of any African president who has no military background. Jona himself has been made to sign peace treaty twice and also interviewed internationally and made to vow that their would be a credible election.

2. The earlier he agrees with Buhari, the better for him because no matter what he does, BUHARI is ready to suck him dry of the national wealth he has amassed for himself over the years and possibly dump him in prison. You will remember his wife shouting that she wasn't ready to feed her husband in prison. Jonathan is not a strong person at heart, so you should expect him to be scared of prison, unlike the likes of Buhari, Obj and other military converts.
So, calling Buhari on phone isn't a big deal at all, since that would be the last appeal he could do so that his punishment could be lessened. With this, by the time Buhari start crying out loud that Jonathan has done this and that, we the gullible Nigerians will start calling Buhari a wicked man and saying "upon how Jona called this man on phone, yet he is still exposing him that way." That is what we call APPEAL TO PITY(Fallacy)

3. With JEGA's intellectually calm and astute response to Mr Odubebe's bei bei bei, the whole world has already judged the man as a very shrewd and unbiased man, so I don't see any court case or rejection of the election result standing at all. Surely, Jega will defend himself and win in all cases. Also, everyone knows that Jona would have made many advances to Jega in attempts to bribe him; surely JEGA will reveal those advances in court and the story would be 'no story at all.'

4. Jona had to act this way(you all know he is a Nollywood actor) just to buy the apathy of many gullible Nigerians (especially the 'prophet says' and the 'Jona is a gentleman' type). He hasn't done anything well for the past six years, so by gently walking away, he wants to use that to gain last-minute popularity. Well, good luck to him but I ain't buying his ideas.
I know you and your likes were disappointed by GEJ noble gesture.
knowing fully well that, if the result has gone the other way,you can only imagine what the state of nation would have been. recall, 2011.
you said he doesn't have a military background ,yet those with years of military experiences were scared that he was training snipers, some said he gonna handover to the military, while, others said he was gonna go the way of Gbagbo.
In all of this,he has maintain his commitment to delivering free
and fair election.

I know you haters feel disappointed by this noble gesture
Shame on you!
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Congratulates Buhari, Asks Him To Fight Corruption by adoyi81: 11:45pm On Mar 31, 2015
januzaj:
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated the Presidential candidate of the All progressives congress Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd,,) on his victory in the presidential poll, charging him to fight corruption and carry out reforms in different sectors.

The congratulatory message was made available to our correspondent at Abeokuta on Tuesday following Buhari victory in the March 28 presidential election.

Obasanjo, who noted that so much harm had already been done to many national institutions, including the military, however, advised him to be magnanimous in victory.

He said, “With so much harm already done to many national institutions including the military, which proudly nurtured you and me, you will have a lot to do on institution reform – education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth employment, agri-business, oil and gas, external affairs, cohesiveness of our nation and ridding our land of corruption.

“Your varied and wide experience will undoubtedly stand you in good stead.”

The former president said the country “is blessed with men and women of goodwill, character and virtue across the board that you can mobilise to join hands with you in the reform, repairs and re-direction that will be imperative to put Nigeria back on the fast lane of good governance, unity, cohesiveness, development and progress.”

Obasanjo noted that Buhari’s victory, after three previous unsuccessful attempts, must be a great lesson to himself and for all politicians, particularly in Nigeria.

He said, “For me, the totality of 2015 elections hold many lessons for our democracy and democratisation process, which are both maturing.

“On this occasion, the system has been unnecessarily overheated before and particularly during the campaigns when emphasis was more on trivialities and hate, divisive, undignifying and disrespectful statements and comments rather than on pressing issues requiring attention.

“I know that in victory, you will be magnanimous to start binding the wounds and bitterness occasioned by the campaign and the evil disciples.”

This is called true leadership!!
They said Buhari will take us back if elected President! Nigerians say it's a good decision to go back when you've lost your way on a 16yr PDP journey where our destination as a nation is no longer visible. Please, Buhari, take us back to the era where:
1. One Dollar was less than one Naira. It is incredible today!
2. Everything was on first come first serve basis.
3. There was zero tolerance for corruption.
4. Oil refineries in PortHarcourt, Warri & Kaduna were built & running at full capacity.
5. Anybody with questionable wealth was afraid to display it in public.
6. There was Zero tolerance for in discipline. Everything was in order
7. Nigeria had no debt at all.
8. Neglecting your children was a crime
9. Littering the public place was a crime
10. Twenty oil depots were built and functioning.
11 Western world can't interfere into our nation.
12. Chad invaded Nigeria, we sent them packing but did not harness their Land
13. Our economy was NOT running on generator
14. We can sleep with our eyes closed because we were secured.
15. Countries like Indonesia and Malaysia need not to set example on how to deal with drug pushers. 16. The Maitaseine Islamic Sect insurgency in the North was crushed on record time. 17. We want those days when Buhari was a military Governor but did not amass illegal wealth. 18. We want those days when Buhari was a Minister of Petroleum but did not hire a private jet for N10 billion. 19. We want those days when Buhari was a Head of State but did not loot the Treasury. 20. We want those days when Buhari was Head of PTF but did not steal the Fund even in the days of Abacha when stealing was the order of the day.
Pls, Buhari & Osinbajo, take us BACK! We can't afford another 4yrs of waste in the hands of PDP!!! Take us BACK to the good old days of this our great nation.
If you want this to happen, circulate the message!!!
What you fail or refuse see is that, 70 percent of APC members today are decampee from the PDP.The question will now be .,what really has change about these guys, that made so much to believe in them.

The average naija politician i know, can do virtually, anything to be elected.
