opoks, u be olofofo o. person wan help kenosky harness hin talent,na which one concern u for dia. u dey find who go helep u harness ur own?go meet Macmillian Publishers |
opoks, got the mail and number.nagode. kenosky,my rhymes master.see the one wey u give opoks.u too much. opoks, men thanks for correcting me o.i no know say lovelynk na female.e just skip my eye |
opoks men, its d 3rd of october. its exactly a year since the advert for this nlng job was published in the Guardian Newspaper. It was a tuesday then. remembered i was still serving in kebbi. finally passed out in january and have been working ever since. and we still dey wait. even application to be Jesus personal Assistant no go take this long. but men we still dey wait.and meanwhile we dey enjoy the thread. |
opoks, i no know say u don already meet davidylan. i saw him in his majesty on this same job thread when someone asked what the way for pple with third class is. men if u see argument btwn bros and one guy wey dem dey call iykrion,u go see say my fight and ur own na apprentice wia dat one dey. i was thoroghly enlightened by his views tho and decided to keep away because d guy was making sense. its so good to know he made his First class from naija and he is proving his and our worth over there. Davidylan, its good u stumbled on the thread.its for a purpose welcome bro.looking forward to drinking from ur cup of wisdom |
kenosky, nice scenario u painted there.but i am not impressed. ur security guy should not have touched the customer. what if d guy was a violent soul and had gone ahead to give him d beating of his life. there are always better ways of calling a customer to order. and by the way, this idea of telling pple to switch off their handsets while within a banking premise is most absurd. they say its to curb security but robbers still have a field day whenever they want. most nigerian banks are so inept in their operations and so have no right to tell me to switch off my phone for such a long time. do u know i have spent about 1 hour 30 minutes to pay in my own hard earned cash in dt Useless Bank of Africa(UBA) imagine one expecting a very important call and having to switch off his phone. the customer is not only the king of business but the life.his cash may not be so important but you never can tell what influence he wields even though he may look ordinary. i believe u could have managed him better than u did. some customers may have been pissed by ur approach 4 all u know.if because of dt incident,he withdraws his cash,d bank has lost something, no matter how little. just the way i told u even if i bcome bill gates i will never put my cash in oceanic bank. and when i have my own companies by God's grace ,i will discourage all my staff from banking there. so bro,ur security guy was wrong "ho-ha" |
lovelynk, u did not intrude. u rather came to bless us. pls dont go. always come and drop a word.it could do someone a world of good. congratulations on ur securing a visa to God's own country(do they still acknowledge it as His own). i am sure Davidylan would read and reply u accordingly.safe bro.and all the best |
opoks, while answering kuwena's question on yourself,u mentioned the fact that u attend Real Believers Gospel Ministry and further mentioned u owe kuwena, me or anyone else no apology. u know d truth?i do not give a hoot about where anybody chooses to worship his God. i may not be the greatest bible scholar but in all my years of reading the bible, i have never come across a place where Christ or any of His disciples mentioned that the criteria for entering God's kingdom is d church u attend. u would recall that even while we had our earlier altercation,i mentioned the fact that one of the main attributes of christianity is the fact that it is a personal relationship btwn a person and his God and only God knows His true followers. i have a strong principle dt i have kept to for a very long time.i keep myself away from discussions dt have to do with 3 things ;a persons religion, tribe and family.these are very sensitive and personal topics. i believe in cosmopolitanism i.e d brotherhood of man.i believe as christians or muslims or whatever, we ought to love all men as ourselves with God as our Father whether we accept Him or not. as Justice Chukwudifu Oputa once said " d brotherhood of man without the Fatherhood of God makes us all bastards". i am a true cosmopolitan. so u do not need to owe me or anyone else an apology. i hate to be agreeing with u again, but in the penultimate thread u told kuwena he seems to be bothered about what people think about him and those explanations or clarifications on his words were unnecessary. dt line on not owing any apology was unnecessary.no be church dey carry person go heaven |
orjigga, this is wishing the best in life. i remember u were such a fervent poster with joy after the second stage. its good to know somethings up with u and shell. By God's grace,u'll be there. May all ur dreams come true. |
opoks, u made a suggestion about us having a club to be called club winners. i believe its a laudable idea but its time has not come yet. i would suggest we chill out until the results are out.do not be decieved by the zeal being shown at this stage.i am sure quite a number of pple are enjoying the thread because of the expectation. lets see those who would remain faithful after the results are out. we can then really form a club with laudable aims and objective. u asked how much we liked ur testimony .i loved it. tho i have subscribed to dt view for a long time but a reminder was not a bad idea. my e-mail addy is drian16 @yahoo.com. i await the number |
opoks,as usual, well done. as kuwena said ur spirit pervades this thread. ur reply to kuwenas postulation on financial success made a lot of sense to me. pple make saving look easier than it is.but men i must say dt having to save 2/3rd of ur salary is one of the most difficult things to suggest, not with the many responsibilities pple have. most of the financial ideas postulated in dt article are fine on paper but quite difficult to implement. i have noticed that quite a number of things most nigerians say relating to money comes from ideas got from the book "rich dad, poor dad". i have read dt book and i will not recommend it to an enemy.it sort of looks now like a status symbol in nigeria.it is no longer uncommon to hear someone saying to another "have u read the book, rich dad, poor dad".even by those who find the book so abstract and difficult to understand. its good to save but money is not there to be saved alone.it must be used for important things that will benefit oneself and mankind. i do not believe i should be like Yaradua who left over 6 billion naira in an improverished state like katsina.what was d essence of saving cash when ur pple were in abject poverty. when matters relate to money,i believe these motivational and investment books should come in handy but one must make them amenable to his own peculiar situation. |
abussyaya, i read ur "judgement". thanks for ur incorruptibility. hope work is good |
kenosky,my brother.apology accepted. welcome back,my perfect rhymes master. i am sure u would be here till ur subsciption ends. na cafe i dey browse.i no get private subscription fee pay anybody o.when i grow up sha,i will like to be like u(and wandel 2). i was so shocked when u wrote dt kpmg, Diamond Bank, PWC, PZ, all failed to see what a gold mine u were until zenith strategically hired u. these companies are usually very daft tho. so i am not surprised.i think d main problem has often been with the Human resources dept of most companies.most of them cant really tell what they are looking for.all they know how to do is give u outdated cliches like "human beings are our greatest resource". dts y to a large extent nlng should be praised.with the calibre of guys here on this thread,i believe their recruiters looked at so many other factors d everyday company would not have noticed. i cant help but ask myself sometimes y these companies cannot pick candidates based on their expertise or field. imagine a company recruiting engineers and lawyers using the same test questions.its so absurd. most lawyers, i must say, read law partly because of the fear for maths(forget all d human rights crap) and quite a number of engineers find d english language a herculean task. why not prepare separate courses if not according to departments then according to faculties.they stand more to gain by this.but dem go hear? my consolation lies in tct tho that there are still a good number of companies that have learnt to look beyond the bread they eat.i am sure u are a pride to them. and lastly,if u call me mappy abi na nappy again ehn i willll,i willl, i willl, ehn i willllll, cry o |
hi guys, the last time i posted was on the afternoon of saturday the 29th. by the time i went to the cafe on monday dt was yesterday,it took me about 65 mins to read what i had missed. on saturday the thread was on page 39 ,by monday it was on page 41. no be small thing. it was then that tommy's post on having to get a pair of glasses to really enjoy d suspense, humor, info., gist at al made a lot of sense to me but i am not so surprised tho.this is the most elitist(no controversy o) thread on nairaland. with the number of first classers on the thread wetin u expekt. |
its good to have 3 full days of rest. its been a hectic period. Nigeria marks its 47th independence in 2 days time. we must not forget to remember our fatherland in prayers especially at this time. nlng would be such a useless place to work in a totally disorganised, disoriented and trouble prone country. we need a peaceful society for any job to make sense to us. furthermore, lets pray for peace in d niger-delta,in dt way we can rest assured that we ourselves will be at peace even when posted to the region to work its time to go.peace out. pax Domine |
tommyex, how far. good to have u back, arsenal man. its a saturday, the 29th day of september. just trying to relax but also thot it good to come say hi to my peeps. i hope we are all doing good. lets keep the faith. all must be well |
congratulations bro.may u rise beyond ur deepest imaginations. |
kenosky, how far now. its been some days since u posted. hope d stress of working isnt telling too much on u. just said to holla sha. safe |
kenosky, u said u are an addict.i have a feeling i am worse. i so look forward to browsing on a daily basis. i think for now,i get my greatest joy from browsing and reading stuff from great minds like u,opoks, kuwena ,jill, pgm and our other great posters. i pray daily that God in His infinite mercy would grant us dt gift(yes,i think its a gift and not a right) of being chosen. i was thinking yesterday of what great contribution we can make to nlng when taken. i feel a first problem would already have been solved.for quite a number of human beings, meeting and blending with people within a short time can be a pretty difficult thing. dt we have already achieved through this thread. i remember the first day i met kuwena, we shook hands firmly and within the twinkle of an eye we had started discussing like we had known for ages. introductions were unnecessary. if anybody had given both of us a job to do at that time he would have marvelled at the result.we would heve given him d shock of his life. dts y i love this thread .the feeling of friendship and camaraderie conquers all. i pray our dreams come true. thanks to opoks,i think everybody now has a plan B.but deep within my heart i pray these plan B's would be useless.i pray we never need to have recourse to them afterall. keno,u are a solid poet.this a compliment from the heart.keep dishing out more. |
abussyaya, i am waiting for u to see if u are a fair judge. let me see ,if because u know opoks,u would show some bias. u yabbed me for praising d lovely lindiwe(aint u a beauty to behold) and offering to invite her over ,when by God's grace nlng takes me. did u see what opoks wrote. he wrote "Lindiwe ,sounds like a name from home". dt name sounds like something from abroad, indeed d southern parts of africa.is opoks from south africa.dt doesnt sound like a name from home.shikena |
wandel,my brother. congratulations. we really do share some things in common. i am also a graduate of the university of ibadan.i finished from there in 2004 and from law school in 2005 . i also served in kebbi. something tells me i may know u either from u.i or kebbi.(who no wan associate with success) thank God ur plan B worked.we still pray dt d plan A too works out fine. u be strong man o.within two months of finishing ur youth service,u have got two jobs and a third in the offing.u no easy o. when i grow up i will like to be like u. |
u guys are beginning to get lenient o. una no see fuse wey i blow when i dey reply abussyaya. i wrote "such encouraging words can only come from a beautiful lady like jill, lindiwe, uchcelly , "(blood of Jesus, see fuse). tho say no be english class be this o but we no know who dey read this thread. i hereby correct myself "such encouraging words can only come from beautiful ladies like, ". ehen my mind don come down |
my guy, this stuff u just wrote,is it english or greek? |
abussyaya, we dey fight? when i said"aint u a beauty to behold" i wasnt talking about the physical attributes o.i only meant her writing style moreover such encouraging words can only come from a beautiful lady like jill, lindiwe, uchcelly, abussyaya and the other sweethearts i have mentioned in previous posts. ok, so opoks is not the only one she should beware of ehn.it means dt he should still be "bewared" of( see english) why did u also include "when its still bright" i am a good boy o.pls dont spoil me |
praise God.congrats bro.may all ur dreams and aspirations come true.this is just the beginning of great things to come |
kenosky, i just went through ur attached poem.men, its quite touching. how i wish we could show gratitude to God for everything He does for us no matter how little. many would give anything to be in our shoes. apart from being the rhymes master, u are the quintessential poet. |
opoks, it was beginning to look as if euphoria is trying to convince those peeps to travel abroad for their masters so an easier route would be created into nlng.na smart guy d guy be o. if only hin know as kuwena eye dey chuk. i must correct this impression that foreign schools are the bomb.i would be stupid to deny the fact that quite a number of schools abroad are solid, but we must not forget the fact that there are some backyard universities abroad too. i feel i am in a position to say this because i have had the privilege of attending an institution with a great number of these guys. while at the law school,we had over 30 universities represented and i happened to be secretary general of the student body.i had great interaction with these guys.some were spectacular, some were what the ibos would call'itiboribo". so this blanket praise of foreign institutions is appalling,to say the least. much as a number of our nigerian universities are substandard,i have come across many naija grads who can hold their own anywhere in the world |
uuuuucccccccchhhhhh my man, welcome back. its good to know my little encouragement made u change ur mind. men, like i said u have a great role to play on this thread.just imagine d info u gave.i am encouraged. still stay bro.faith is a personal thing.as they say no man can ride on ur back unless you bend it for him.likewise no man can change ur belief in a certain project or thing unless u want him to. thats why we are all rational beigns. u have the capability to seperate the wheat from the chaff.take dt which appeals to ur beliefs and discard the others. in all this nlng stuff.let the will of God be done. welcome back again bro and keep posting.d forum is more alive now dn ever |
ladies and gentlemen, please rise for the newest lady on the thread.lindiwe, such a beautiful name.(opoks u remember dt toasting style,as chief ashawo of this thread) lindiwe aint u a beauty to behold. welcome to the thread of the happiest pple in the country. u must like book o.imagine reading the whole pages of the thread.y kpmg no go take u. u do not have to be a part of the competition to make a meaningful contribution to this thread . always check in and write.its a forum to learn, laugh and be merry.and as i always say,a word from u could do someone a world of good ur description of nlng is tempting.we keep our fingers crossed. i would like to do what ur friend did.dt is invite u over when we get there.tho this time for a month one serious FBI warning,if opoks invites u dont go o. |
opoks, kuwena, kenosky, tolagbaju ,una papa. u pple want to intimidate me abi. i was best graduating student in my family and in my village for the 2004 academic year.no be achievement be dt. |
opoks,u sau kenosky dey crase.wetin u go yarn about pgm.d guy don loss |
tolagbaju, our able Minister of Information, thanks for the compliment. yes,i agree your leave is well deserved.e easy to work for two years without leave? i just hope this wont affect ur posting of ever reliable information from Nlng . men ur infos are always the bomb.catch ur fun this period bro.even God rested after creating the world |
kenosky, if u wan yab mi,start with "get out' make i know o(just kidding though). u think zenith staff are any better. i will give other hopefuls a chance to air their views and u will see ur great zen is definitely not an exception.i must be candid ,the guys are a bit better dn the chics in terms of politeness.but pray, should a bank staff on any account whatsoever be rude to a customer.how una go get una salary if customers massively boycott the bank? |
