ehen again,
do u guys see what Aghahowa is going through in Wigan athletic.

and to imagine dt he is only 24years old(na beans).

meanwhile,bros was already in the police force before ha started playing professional football.
u know i have said it times without number dt i am an olodo in maths but uche, with the miracle u worked with those figures now,i know u like maths.

ehen if a person cannot join the police force till he is 18,how come Aghahowa played in under 17 in 1999 as a police man o .when did he join the force then?meanwhile he had already played with quite a number of nigerian clubs.when then did he start playing club football,12 years?

a guy who is 24 should be at his peak now but alas bros has been relegated to the background.

dt even reminds me,do u guys know dt Louis Figo played in Saudi 89 and he is still active today.i have a gift for anybody who can mention one nigerian player who played in dt tournament dt is still in active soccer.they are all finished.not even one can play for 'Adrianic FC'(our boys can lie)

dt thing dt usually happens to me has started o.

do u guys remember one of our greatest' young ' players ever ,Philip Osondu.d guy was so good dt a german club bought him(i.e while thinking he was truly 17) and started giving him food meant for ajebutters but rather than growing tall my guy was adding weight(u wan cheat nature?)that was the end of him.

on a lighter note ehn,if nlng does not take me i am considering reducing my age to play for the under 23.

even if its two years in europe,i never make am?

by the time i dribble d living day light out of those oyibo pple,commentators will start shouting'another youth prodigy is born'.only you guys would know d truth but thank God,apart from Aniffy4eva ,none of u knows my face,not even my own brother from another mother kuwena.

make una no vex for me o,i am enjoying myself.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 6:24pm On Sep 05, 2007
ehen,
i think this is one of d youngest under 17 team we would be taking for a tournament.

have u guys really looked at those guys called Akinsola and Edile.hmm if those guys are under 17 ,then i am 15 yrs and 5 months.

the goal keeper of Haiti(i.e during the 3rd match) attempted catching Akinsolas shot but realised dt 'e no be small thing o.u wan catch ur papa shot.'

but dt is not to take anything away from d victory of the guys.i am so proud of them atleast for helping me forget those 'efulefus' called super eagles.

d super eagles have a match on saturday but may my tongue cleave to my mouth if i watch that match.thoseguys are so uninspiring.

for now its d golden eaglets joo.pls join me and enjoy those guys joo.this nlng thing don too much

my brother and friend.welcome back.i hope u are doing well at school?

guys,i hope u guys were able to steal out time to go watch the ghana -spain match.afterall d rabble rousings,spain finally beat ghana.the coach of ghana had said before the match that his lads were going to give spain pain(what rhyme,i bet dt guys album will sell)

but that match brought to the fore the lapses in african football.ghana 'delibrately' threw their chances away in the first half and now started fighting to equalise.

they were even expecting a "penarity"(do u guys remember those days i.e for those of us dt went to pako skools when if we were playing football and were given a penalty,we would start singing 'penarity' instead of penalty and 'inside d net'.i long for those days again when u could be permitted to make mistakes).

i pitied them though because i had predicted a nigeria-ghana final.but obviously that is not to be.pls any football fan dt posts before d end of our match tomorrow should predict who would win btwn nigeria and germany.i like predictions(lest i forget this is not a predict and win promo o.)

@uche,

when i said thank God,d wait has finally come to an end it was because i thought, as larwee posted, dt d letters will start flying by monday.

kuwena ,thru his call corrected dt impression.we still wait.whenever it comes,i will be here waiting.thank God we are all going to get one.

2ndly,assessment centres were done on saturdays also.if u go back to those posts prior to dt time,u would notice that some souls wrote theirs on d 7th and 14th of july etc.i wrote mine on d 21st and we were only 4.if u work on this premise ,u would see dt d probable number is 464.

as for the issue of quota ,i can say most authoritatively dt its true.a man in my area at festac who knows a former top dog there confirmed it.

also,d question asked us when we called to know if we made it after d 2nd stage makes it glaring.y would somebody ask for ur state when u only asked to know if u made it.on d day i called to know my fate,my discussion with the lady went thus;

adrianic; hello,good morning
hr; hello,good morning.how may i help u
adrianic; please would u be kind enough to tell me if i made it to the NLNG 3rd stage
hr; ok,no problem.what state are u from?

if they are not using quota system,dt question would have been thoroughly irrelevant.

despite dt,lets focus on God as opokonwa would say.nlng is in His hands.all must be well

opokonwa,
u rightly addressed all nlng hopefuls i.e those who even got to this stage as winners.
i cannot agree less with u.
i will never forget the day i wrote my own test i.e the 03rd of march,2007 at Dansol high skool,Agidingbi.ikeja.i almost fainted when i saw d number of pple waiting to write their own tests with pple exhibiting different mannerisms.its usually common in such places.almost all d guys were in clusters gisting.i also realised dt quite a number of guys were really "yarning" especially where chicks were(i cant stop wondering why some guys tend to turn into chatter-boxes when girls are around).i was so calm partly because i was tired(i just got in the previous day) and because of my famed 'olodoness' in maths.u cant imagine my surprise when i was called for the second stage.then i was now so confident.and here we are today.i was also trying to call my friends writing in different centres and they were also shocked at the number of persons writing in their own centres.how they managed to prune dt number to what we have today remains a mystery.i think anybody who has d privilege of getting to this level should raise his head high no matter what happens.i know our confidence level should be at its peak.its not easy.
i know we are all going to be fine afterall.who wan curse d man wey Jesus don bless

opokonwa,
ur point is perfectly understood.its a deep pity what we have plunged ourselves into in this country.Nigeria is a complex country.it is also polygenous.the reason usually given is dt it balances the opportunities in federal establishments between the educationally less developed states and educationally developed states.there is really nothing anybody can do about it .why?it is now entrenched in the Nigerian constitution.for it to be stopped the constitution will have to be amended.i am sure even when d national assembly deems it fit to amend,that particular provision will be left untouched because it favours a particular segment of the country.i am sure if the nlng had their way and say,it would be scrapped within the twinkle of an eye.but i am sure their hands are also tied.lets just keep our fingers crossed knowing ,nlng or not, God has great plans for us.its all going to be fine.

looming,
welcome .
at the assessment centre i remember we were particularly warned not to call.i recall also that the HR guy said we should not be afraid of them getting to us this time(considering the fact that FEDEX on some occasions had proved its ineptitude).the guy said we were going to be contacted through all means possible.he said letters will be sent,e-mails will also be made use of and if possible text messages will also be sent.he pointedly said that latest time would be the end of september.i believe him.just have some patience bro.i am sure no info will be divulged to u even if u do.we are already in the 3rd day of sept.its already here.so lets be patient.

u no try o.did u have to wait so late before joining this thread.ur wisdom would have done a lot of good here.ur testimony was touching.it almost brought tears to my eyes(abi u think say i no dey cry).as for me i think its good the wait has finally come to an end.abeg before high blood pressure go kill some people.i agree with u that God should be the focus.the heart of every king is in the hands of God.at least by friday,the whole house would have known their fate.life goes on bro.keep posting.

@aniffy4eva,
where have u been.its good to see ur post after such a long time.welcome

@larwee,
like kuwena said,i believe ur info.i have spoken to him almost every night of this past week.let the will of God be done.

@kuwena,

do u know i am so calm about the whole gist.remember what we discussed about David who begged God to spare the child given birth to by Bathsheba for him.God refused and still took the child.when David heard the child had died ,he stood up had a bath,removed his sack cloths and went about his normal duties.at that time, he realised there was nothing he could do again.i feel the same way too.we have all done our parts.some have fasted and prayed,some have visited mountains and done so many other things for God to look upon them with mercy as it relates to this job.i think its time we keep our fingers crossed.as u rightly observed"nothing dey happen".if we Get it,that is God's will.if we dont,then he sure has greater plans for us.

@nlng.hopefuls,
we remain hopeful until we start recieving our letters.lets all be assured that it is well.

i must confess,i respect ur frankness.

ur style of coming into the thread was unique.it tells a lot about u.

i appreciate dt too.

as per d words,they were never meant.

opokonwa

Repetition is usually for emphasis.

so let me repeat.

i had no problem with the message.

neither did i with the messenger.

my problem was with the tone of the message.

i am sure u may not have heard of this definition of a diplomat"a diplomat is one who tells u to go to hell in such a way dt u actually look forward to the journey."

u did not prove urself one.

i never get exhausted with anything.

if u had brought any new issue up other dn seeking for sympathy over words used ,i definitely would have been here for u.

i assure u,nothing is taken personal by me.

and there are definitely no hard feelings.

if u say we made the thread more interesting,so be it.

lest i forget,nice writing style

@kenosym,
my guy ,thanks for accepting my offer of being my page boy.

how are u ,my brother.

i agree with all u wrote in ur post.

i have realised that on matters of faith,the dictum is "for those who believe ,no explanation is necessary,for those who do not believe ,no explanation is possible".

i shall continue with the spirit of this thread which is "encouraging and edifying one another no matter whose ox is gored".

i wish u well
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 6:36pm On Aug 29, 2007
opokonwa,

as usual u have said nothing new.

if i were to sub-title ur last post,it would just have read "attention"

u rightly asked to know who determines d mode of communication on this thread.

i shall give u no answer other dn dt implied in ur previous post "enough of those crap.they are boring".

it baffles me how u come into a thread and immediately seek to shut people up with such words.

it goes to also show what a communications guru u are.

ur constant use of the phrase"words and phrases used against me" is to say the least funny.

thank God for the gift of sight .

readers will read and judge if u are truly as humble and "polished" as u profess.

when u raise a new issue worth answering,i shall oblige.

for now,u bore me.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 3:19pm On Aug 29, 2007
@opokonwa,
its so good to hear from u again.

u confirmed all i thot about u initially.

u are really a man seeking attention.ur post clearly shows this. "i am back in with a bang".

its so unfortunate dt u are saying nothing new and sounding too repeatitive.

i shall not do u the favour of repeating myself especially in cases where i have clearly answered u .

u seek to portray urself as a prophet calling us back to reality.u further aim to portray me as d villain and u the persecuted,me the antagonist and u the protagonist.

u place emphasis on words i used and being a "polished" being refusing to call me names and in another breath calling me tempestuous.

if ur post depicts a polished man,then being unrefined is bliss.

i have said it and let me reiterate,ur view was not novel neither was it wrong,i insist ur use of words tell a lot about ur kind of person.

much as d law encourages fundamental rights,u r use of words in ur initial post which i highlighted still remains d issue.

once more live under no illusions that ur idea is new to this forum.

when d issue of a signature was brought up by kuwena ,he gave his reasons.if u really read this thread in its entirety as u claimed,u definitely would have seen the reasons given.

if the signature did not appeal to ur all knowing logic,there were better ways of presenting it.

ur last paragraph,my man thoroughly exposed u,"may i add that this is not a religious thread.hence everyone is free to express his/her faith but with some sensibility".

i called u haughty and arrogant earlier on.does this sentence portray u as being any different.indeed how much u amaze me.

i have rightly told u that nlng is not the end of the world.i have been prepared for any eventuality even before ur post.

if i am not called,u will still see me here urging those who were called on.

my aim on this thread is to encourage my fellow peeps and so far i have done dt within my capabilities.

if pple drink tea with their God or eat eba with HIM (to use ur words),how does dt affect u if they feel sharing it on this thread will encourage others.

and my friend ,who determines what is "boring".what is boring to u may be lively to a third party.

i agree with u that truth is bitter.but i am so sorry that u fall among those group of persons who feel when they get an answer to a rash behaviour,then they have said d truth.

lastly,no matter how beatiful ur ideas or suggestions are,ur mode of communication was faulty.if u would play less on seeking attention and more on passing a genuine message,i am sure u wwould be better appreciated.

hope u are having a nice day at work
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 6:39pm On Aug 28, 2007
@nlnghopefuls
time to retire for the day.i hope u all had a great day at your different places of work.

as said earlier ,ur faith plays a role in getting from God.

dont forget, without faith it is impossible to please GOD.

TK KIA ALL.

peace .
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 6:07pm On Aug 28, 2007
@opokonwa,
u showed ur "maturity" and "christianity" by even saying that most of these faith expressions are to get the golden fleece i.e nlng and that God sees our hearts.

as per ur latter comment,i agree most absolutely.

for the former,one does not necessarily need to express his faith in God to be chosen.

the fact still remains that even atheists may be picked to work in nlng.i am sure u will agree with me that definitely not all nlng staff will believe in the existence of a God.

how then did they get in.

no one can fully understand the ways of GOD.

my expression of faith in God (irrespective of what u may say) has never been hinged on nlng.

a leopard never changes its spot.a person who has never had faith in God, i assure u, will still not do even if that were to be the only criteria to get into nlng.

Chief Justice Opokonwa(the judge of faith).need i say more
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Which Way Nlng? by adrianic: 5:50pm On Aug 28, 2007
@opokonwa,
one reading ur post would be temted to think u are a sacrificial lamb.u have made it look as if your singing a different tune is d issue here.it never has been and never will be.thank God for ur famed maturity.i must make u understand that at different times pple have sung different tunes on this thread and have been thanked for such divergent views.y?because they wrote with absolute maturity without any intent of abusing or insulting peoples sensibilities.i had earlier highlighted ur careless use of phrases and i owe u no apologies for that.if it would help u read ur posts further before posting so be it.

i consider it a waste of precious time talking to you about my christianity.it is a known fact that christianity has always been and will remain a PERSONAL relationship btwn one and his God.he alone knows His standards of judgement.i shall say no further on that.

you said you cant wait to see our responses when the result finally comes out.permit me to state once more for emphasis,that nlng is not the end of the world.never forget that at the first stage,we were over 18,000 that took the test.at the last stage we were only 464.

those other pple who were not called have since moved on with their lives.so be assured that u will wait in vain if u expect tales of woe from me or from anybody on this thread.

i have a secure future with or without nlng.it never has been and never will be the ultimate test of faith.God forbid that i hing my faith in Him on a job no matter how luxurious it may seem.

thank u for ur "advice" that we should apply caution.

we have never failed to do so .

need i remind u that at no point in time on this thread have we lived under the illusion that the whole 464 of us left will be taken.

be it further known to u that ehido at some point informed us that before the adverts were published,the management of nlng had in an internal memorandum made it known that it wanted to employ 80 graduate trainees into its establishment.we have taken "judicial "notice of that fact.

so we know that not everybody can be chosen to work there.hence the need to (as we have always done )encourage one another and make us understand that nlng or no nlng,God has great plans for us.

i must make u understand that whether i am chosen or not,u will read my post on this thread.

thank u also for not failing to recognise the fact that we have a burgeoning list of friends (especially new) on this thread.

there is absolutely nothing wrong in persons of like minds seeing what is good and loving it especially when its bedrock is d truth.

lastly,never try to act like ur intentions were so pure and altruistic.even if they were ,ur medium of passing ur info was wrong.

before i forget,thanks for the new appointment of Minister of Defence.every establishment needs one

to my dear nlng hopefuls,
corrct me if i am wrong.is there not a place in the holy bible where Christ admonished us that when we pray,we should believe dt we have already recieved what we asked from God in His name.as we go about our present jobs(thank God we have)let us keep this in mind.let our faith never be shaken irrespective of what a few persons may think.talk is cheap and one of our core fundamental human rights is d right to free speech.never be discouraged.d desires of ur hrt shall be granted according to d will of Him who has seen u to this stage.
