I have the choice of choosing between a regular Dstv Decoder and A HD Dstv Decoder.

I like to be educated about the difference between both. Someone is offering me an HD Decoder but I've never used it before unlike the regular Dstv decoder I'm accustomed to.

I like to know the difference between the two

HD Decoder is High Definition Decoder and usually has an HDMI interface which display in picture and sound up to 1080p and has a better picture quality than the Regular SD decoder.

With HD Decoder you can watch mpeg 2 to Mpeg 4 content while SD decoders are limited to SD or Mpeg 2 to 4 contents and can't display HD content s.

Thanks bro. Interestingly, my 1m dish had very little space for maneuver where it was mounted. So I removed it and put my 90 cm dish and voila! I got 82 % signal strength but zero signal quality on my satfinder. As I Don tire for not hitting green, I went inside my house to blind scan with faith and I got the coveted MBC channels. The investment in fta is paying off thanks to your guidance. This weekend I go try 3w with my 1m dish. Una do well o

Bro I am not trying to contradict you in anyway. I noticed that once you go into setting in Csat pro 8+, and change the resolution to 1080p. It brings to life a more better picture quality.

You are right Bro. I tried it yesterday using 1080p. The picture quality was way better.

Well done bro. If you have the money please buy another dish to enjoy better reception. You can even get 90cm for N500 if you know any pantaker market as we call it here in the North.

As for the LNBF even if you cut it open don't leave it without covering it with a nylon, because if water enters that is the end of the LNBF.

QSat G23 has a better video output. But Csat Pro 8 + output is not bad per se.

I have been beaten two nights in a row tracking nigcomsat sattelite. Got dstv satellite on 36e brought it down like I was advised but no signal quality used 12519 H 29500 & 125198 H 29500 with no success. What am I still missing please?

Sorry bro. From my experience in tracking sometimes it is the FEC that could be the problem. We are too quick to use AUTO as FEC. They have FEC of 2/3, 4/5 etc. Secondly it is the polarization. If you are given a polarization of H, and you've tried without success, nothing stops you from using V. This has worked most times for me. And finally, your LNBF position.

Some suffering no worth it especially if you are using small dish. All those attachment will still be affected by heavy rain and wind.

Yes. But the signals will be badly reduced. For me Multi TV/ Badr for MBC is a must to be Primary. If you make Nigcomsat Primary anything you attached to the set up will have huge loss of signal quality.

Very Possible but you go suffer to get it. See my Picture above. Make Multi TV primary, Make Nigcomsat Secondary and while facing the dish by your right below the Multi TV; just search for 16e while moving the LNBF around the iron holder using this frequency 12333 H 30000

I snapped that dish position of a bet9ja shop.... which i guess is 7e
I have my own white 85cm Dstv dish installed in same direction at about 73 % and no bet9ja virtuals pop up after blind scanning

Is not about installing a dish with same direction of the one you see in a particular location for these reasons:

1. Satellite directions and positions sometimes varies with location
2. Bet9ja virtuals does not have a single satellite position.

What to do:
Get the right Symbol Rate, Frequency and Polarization.
