This is an open display of ignorance. The school is a federal university just like unilag, accredited by the same body as unilag and receives funding from the same source. What then make you think unilag third class certificate is better ?

No mind them jare, na those olodos dey talk am, though some industries do prefer top Private uni and fed uni graduates due to some reasons best known to them, but first class is first class state and fed uni, the course contents are all the same except if the university is not accredited by NUC. It's not easy to bag first in any degree, and it requires hardwork, even second class upper division.

Don't get scammed, look for information, check student route or express entry it you are qualified, if you have first degree and you have upper, you can check scholarship for graduate programs but if you want to pay for the tuition your 5M won't be enough, Canada visa rejection rate self is high now you can check European countries....do research you can't just expect people to spoon feed you, there are many topics on Nairaland about canada

my advice is this…

Send a very convincing CV, that shows you can code in html, css, JavaScript, php, sql… if he is going to bring you over it will take atleast 2months, if you are going to be working from here, you can team up with a good programmer and split the pay.

In two months, trust me you can learn html and JavaScript and even php, as long as you’re serious in it. If you are in Enugu, I can teach you html and JavaScript in two weeks and you can pay me later. Whatever you do, make sure you send a convincing CV, luckily enough, you have projects to back it up

Chai I love design but it's UI not webflow, haven't designed webflow website before.

Don't compare pls, if you are a true christian, differentiating God's voice from other voices won't be difficult.

For pastors Chris, you don't talk about it because you don't know how they started, even if it's God's will it means someone has sinned.

It has happened before that two brothers received a single sister in the fellowship and the revelation is from God. How do you explain that?

Well to my own knowledge God doesn't really create someone to be your spouse no one is specially made for you.
But you can receive a man or woman that is holy or serving God, though there are some exception that God can honor someone and give he/she spouse but it's rare. This happened many times in the bible.

When you are praying for partner in a fellowship or church you will surely see someone around you, you won't receive someone in Ghana as your spouse when you are here in Nigeria. Or someone in SE when you are in SW. You probably receive a holy man in the church or around your town/city or anywhere you go.

That's the simple logic about it.

For pastors saying it's your partner after they ve prayed about it: This has many interpretation and God revelation is not always direct, some pastors says he is your man when they see children or peace of mind or even celebration.

There are many things to this anyways, that's just the simplest explanation.

Thanks for your comments on this thread and Nairaland at large, have learnt alots from all your comments but I have few questions.

I am a bit confused.

I want to kickstart my freelancing journey on Upwork, I am a UI/UX designer (no great portfolio for now though, am working on a Shopify template in Adobe XD and some projects with the hope to add them as portfolio), I once tried Fiverr but it's not working out (copywriting though).

I know JS and basics of PHP and I want to learn react later but seeing most people commenting that platform development is a way to make it as a developer, and I saw your comments about google chrome extension , WordPress theme and webflow and the video links but couldn't access those links.

1 Do I need to get certified to be a Shopify developer and create themes after Knowing liquid.

2. Can I combine web development with UI/UX and offer services on Upwork.

3. Which one will you advice between frontend development (React), theme development (Shopify and WordPress) or Google chrome extension and airtable.


Just need to start something.

Am happy to be here and I do like to connect with fellow UI UX designers, I started a while ago but have not been consistent because of school works, now am honing my skills in UX because ASUU is on strike and I want to face UI full time,
I think to some extent I understand UI UX design, I started with Adobe XD but recently am using figma, it's all the same, adobe xd and figma are just tools, just slight differences, and I hope to go into freelancing fully in the next few months, am working to build my portfolio first.

UI UX is a good start I do say, transferring already designed artboard to code is now easy, just little google, I think with good UI skills one will design nice react apps.
UI and UX aren't the same but have common things, the career is lucrative if and only if one know what is selling.


Mastering business of a career is as well important as honing or mastering skills.

I will be visiting this thread and share my projects soon.
With this thread I think motivation will comes.
