DELIVER US FROM EVIL

As we journey through life, we are faced with two kinds of evil; the evil within and the evil without. These evils seek one thing only—to bring us to destruction and cut us off from the salvation of God. This is why it is important for us to cling on to Jesus so he can deliver us from all such evils (Matthew 6:13). The evil within us is our propensity to sin, and the evil without is the plans which the devil devices against us.

How do we then overcome these malevolent powers?
The answer is Jesus Christ.

Amazing Love: We love him because he first loved us.

We were at our lowest, condemned to the consequences of our sins. And God, out of his undying, unfathomable love, looked upon us with such an amazing love that he condescended from his celestial throne to walk in our midst and guide us by his love and blood unto redemption.

Prayer: Father, we give you glory. We worship you. help us to be able to share your love with others, and so, Lord, help us to know that you are always there and that your love will carry us through and that you will never forsake us. Thank you for giving us the greatest of the greatest of all gifts—everlasting life, as it is in Jesus.

However, God's love came under siege after Satan's rebellion in Heaven. He coveted the glory and throne of the Almighty God, and still does so today by putting that same spirit of rebellion in the hearts of men.

We cannot claim to love God or to be abiding by the principles of His commandments when we live a life full of hate for our fellow. God's laws are given to build the love and joy of togetherness in us. We cannot separate love from the law; So when we say we love God, we must keep his commandments which in summary is "love your neighbour as yourself"
