What is Good for one is Good for All

Justice (equity, fairness, and truth) is a key requirement for any individual or society that desires peace. When we refuse to practice justice, we murder sleep, and we murder peace. No amount of prayer or selective kindness can substitute for justice. God also frowns against injustice (Isaiah 59:14-15). We all desire peace within ourselves and the society we live in, but do we practice justice?

The power of redemption saves us from sin and gives us the ability to live above our sinful nature. The power of Christ we receive also transforms us from within and strengthens us to overcome the oppressive power of sin that makes it hard to resist the devil. We are likewise saved from eternal damnation through Christ. Do not be misled. Redemption takes you out of the pit of sin; it doesn't make it okay to remain there!

The Gospel Truth prevails over Tradition

The full essence of Christ—his birth, life teachings, sacrificial death, resurrection, and promise to come again—are integral components of the salvation equation. The light of truth has been revealed in the scriptures, and it is ever present to light up the path of all who seek it. God has called us to follow the truth and not be misled by the doctrines of men influenced by their own sentiments and traditions.

There is no such thing as a selective practice; the gospel truth must be accepted as a whole!

(1) Jesus is the Creator God, (2) He took on fallen humanity to bear our sins and die for us, and (3) He desired a sinless life so that his righteousness could be imputed to us. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus is not ignorant of our infirmities because he bore them himself, but still, he triumphed so that we also can triumph.

A contrite heart is needed, not blame games

When Adam and Eve sinned against God, they were trading blame. They indirectly accused God of being responsible for their transgressions. However, all God needed from them to activate the plan of redemption was a contrite heart. They only had to acknowledge and confess their sins with a repentant heart, but they let the power of sin mislead them. The same thing happens today. We must humble ourselves and cry to God when we sin, not try to justify our action.

The Lamb of Redemption

Out of God's love he made man a free moral agent and also laid the foundation for his redemption should things go south. Thus, when man fell to sin and the consequence of his transgression was to befall his soul, MERCY SAID NO! "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began" - 2 Tim 1:9. Our salvation was established from the beginning!

We must rise up as repairers of the breach and restorers of the path—the path of the truth—by keeping the true Sabbath holy as instructed by God.

Work is not a curse

Man's first responsibility was to maintain and decorate the garden. This was to help keep his body fit. The structure of our body does not allow us to be idle, as this can easily lead to many health challenges, such as muscle atrophy, obesity, and others. Daily exercise, however little, can go a long way in contributing to a healthy body and sound mind. Do you know that your brain benefits greatly from regular exercise? May God give you the strength to keep your body and mind fit for His glory.

The importance of a healthy body for having a quality life cannot be overemphasized. The mind and body have a relationship such that a breakdown in one can lead to a drop in the function of the other. What are you eating? How do you take your meals? We can also read God's directive to Adam concerning nutrition (in Gen 1:29). A nutrient-filled meal is essential for good health!
