The Laws of God: An Expression of His Nature

"The law of God, from its very nature, is unchangeable. It is a revelation of the will and the character of its Author. God is love, and His law is love. Its two great principles are love to God and love to man. Such a law, being an expression of the mind and will of God, must be as enduring as its Author." - GC 467.

From the beginning, Satan questioned God's sovereignty by vilifying his laws and thus casting aspersions on his nature; and he continues to do so today. How can you protect yourself from his deception?

But as children of God, we must be steadfast in building up our faith to withstand and overcome all of his assaults. We must build our faith through the Word of God to have the virtues of patience, courage, purity, and love!

Though this privilege was abused by Satan, who chose rebellion rebel against God, the gift of choice was never revoked. Through the works and words of God, we have come to understand the loving nature of God. Now, a choice is put before us, and each has its own reward or consequence. Will you open your heart to God?

The Abundant Life is not defined only by material possessions.

"...Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions." - Luke 12:15 (NAS). There are dangers we must avoid as we work towards living an abundant life.

Yes, this life is what God also desires and has promised us. However, we must exercise caution to avoid greed, haste, and arrogance, as these will only lead to self-destruction.
