you see ,this is were i always disagree with most you,what you called political alliances can be viewed from the point of betrayal from other regions within south, for example if the east decide to align with the north in order to grab power, they can't succeed without making the other southern neighbour's feeling betrayed.

Why do we always need to align with the north if alliances is right thing to do?

Look at what is happening to Tinubu after his years of alliances, the same thing will happen to orji kalu if his candidate succeed.
