I give God all glory sha.
Congratulations, pls which of the Embassy did u attend the interview, Lagos or Abuja?

I think you should chill for a while before reapplying. Since you just got pregnant, wait till you about 6 months gone before reapplying so has to establish the fact they you were not pregnant during the renewal.
Why exactly do u think you were refused? Did u not declare you would use the expired visa for birthing when you got it?
You need to consider why you were refused in your next application.
Yes, i didn't plan birthing with that visa truly cos i was heavily pregnant when i renewed, the plan was for
vacation after i must have delivered here, but cos i was termed high risk patient, after having lost 5 pregnancies, My doctor referred me to a
Doctor friend in Arizona, that was how the plan change
d and since we could afford the bills, i did letter of intent and that was rhe advice i got from here.

I heard the next available date in lagos is August, which will be like 5months after i was denied cos i will be due in Dec

TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by adycatus: 10:54am On Apr 17, 2018
Good morning all, pls i posted here last month that i went for drop box and was given 221g form and i appeared for interview and was denied cos i had my 2nd baby in US 2016 May and paid all my bills, have my zero balance and statement of account.
NOW i just realised this week that am pregnant for our 3rd baby, pls should i reapply and try lagos as i was denied at Abuja and do B2 alone or i should apply with both hubby and my first son as we always apply together and we all was denied last month. Will it seem desperate as we were just denied last month but by then, i wasn't pregnant.

The problem was you didn't apply for b2 while you were obviously very pregnant. They believe you lied or withheld that info and this is normally the consequence; being denied on the next renewal.
The fact you paid your bills is like insignificant compared to the crime they felt you committed....

If you do not intend to travel soon, then relax till there is a need or you guys can go somewhere else for vacation.... and later you can apply for b2 when you are pregnant.....
Thanks for ur advice, i appreciate. But pls i want to ask, can i still do drop box for hubby and son for B1/B2 visa after we were all denied together since they were not the ones that committed the crime. Then i can do my B2 and schedule an appointment wen i get pregnant as i have also started trying for baby no 3.

Few questions
1- when you travelled to have your baby how long did you stay
2- During your 221G appointment, what question did the VO asked and what were your response.
My wife had similar 221G appointment, they picked on her travelled history to the US she was able to defend herself and her Visa was reissued.
I travelled on 9th April 2016 and came back 15th june 2016 when i went to have my baby cos i needed to go back to work.

The Vo asked myself and hubby where we work, we told him, he ask how many kids we have, we said two and he asked where they were given birth to, i said the first child in Nig and the 2nd child in the US.
He said i applied for visa renewal in feb 2016 and had my baby may 2016 and i didn't indicate in my drop box renewal that i was going to have my baby when i knew i was pregnant. I told him that wasn't the intial plan, the plan was for vacation until my Obgy doctor referred me at the last minute to a doctor friend in the US since i already had a valid visa following the constant lost of 5pregnancies prior to this pregnancy and i wrote a letter of intent informing the embassy on change of plan.
Vo said that wasn't the procedure and denied us all visa. I even told him i paid all my bills and he refused to have a look at my reciepts and zero balance and statement of bill/ hosp breakdown. This happened in Abuja embassy today

Sorry about the denial. If you are not pregnant I will suggest you give it sometime.
Say for how long pls? Cos the earliest available date is july. I am not pregnant now, but am trying for baby no 3. So i think its wise i just do B2 visa this time around while hubby and child no 1 apply for B1/B2

Sorry about the denial.
I wanted to find out at what point do they give 221g form. Or do they usually call for the interview
At drop box renewal point. If they feel they need to ask u some more questions or see ur receipts to be sure u paid all ur bills
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by adycatus: 10:04am On Apr 05, 2018
I don't know if my husband and first son should reapply alone while me that committed the offence having my 2nd baby there without B2 visa still wait and apply later.

Phew!

So sorry about the denial.

This is a recurring theme.

Reapply but try Lagos this time around. Are you pregnant? If you're not and there is no hurry maybe you should give it some time before applying.

All the best dear

Has anyone gotten visa for childbirth in Abuja in recent times? Almost everyone I know who has applied in Abuja has been refused and it also seems like they now routinely ask women (single or married) if they intend to give birth in the US.

My colleague (single young lady) was asked if she had any intention to use the visa for childbirth and she replied in the negative. This means even if she gets pregnant in the next two years she can't use that visa for childbirth.

My friends husband was asked if his wife was pregnant and if they had intention to give birth in the US... They are newly married...His wife already had a visa and had just renewed via Dropbox. He told them no to both questions and was given the visa. Meanwhile the wife is pregnant and intends to have the baby in the US o. I sha warned them o... Husband shouldnot have lied at all but he was scared because he had been denied before.

All of these happened in Abuja.[/quote]

Calm down and schedule your interview appointment. Go with all payment receipts for your first childbirth. My wife went through the same thing last year. Hope you didn't use Medicaid?
Thank you. I paid all my bills, i have my zero balance reciepts from both the hospital, my Ob gyn doctor and my child's paediatrician. I did not use medicaid.

US IMMIGRATION

My friend's niece arrived yesterday February 2, 2017 at JFK Airport in New York. She is a Nigerian with a valid 2 year visa. She was held by US Immigration for over 12 hours and then deported with a 5 year ban. Her crime was that she flew Qatar Airline. That was the red flag. The ignorant immigration officials wanted to know why she would fly from Nigeria to Qatar instead of through Europe. They wanted to know her contacts in Qatar. She said it was due to cheap ticket price. They searched her phones, looked at all her contacts and even called her job in Nigeria. After all the humiliation, they said she had two choices, she could either go back to Nigeria or be put in detention in the US while they continue with extreme vetting. This all happened yesterday in our New United States. Please when traveling check your phones, your messages, your internet. Don't take unknown packages or letters for people and if you can avoid certain airlines please. I am not trying to alarm you JFK is now like a war zone with lawyers and protesters on standby. If you have a Green Card, you better apply for citizenship as the GREEN CARD is almost worthless now.

U don't need a UK transit visa if u don't have intension of going into d UK, and for the stops, chicago will be ur POE since that's the first stop in d US b4 u head to Atlanta.

bissiejoe:
Hello good people,
The cheapest airline I have seen from Lagos to Atlanta is 450k with BA. I have some few questions to ask.
1. Will there be need for a transit visa?
2. There are two stops on the inbound leg of the journey, London and then Chicago, will Chicago be the POE or the final destination Atlanta?
3 and for those who have used BA in the past, is it possible to fly at 33 weeks?
And please for those who didn't declare intention at embassy for child birth, please endeavor to write the letter of intent. I just watched an episode of UK border force series on YouTube and this episode features Nigeria. A pregnant woman was not allowed to board the flight with BA by one of the U.K. Embassy officials in Nigeria. The official called the us embassy and the us people said they were not aware of the birthing issue. The pregnant woman argued she's not traveling to uk but only stopping over, but the uk woman say no. After all this struggle to get visa and buy forex at high prices and also huge flight ticket prices. I felt for her

Also show them ur letter if u are working to show u will be on a paid leave while u are here and that will make them knw u will be going bk to Niaja cos u've got a job.Just pray well, God will see u thru.
