Seriously we need to introduce federal character in the way results are published.
The idea of just publishing results plainly as they come is hardly helpful in the Nigerian sense.
For instance how would the people of Yobe feel with this result? they must be feeling cheated.
Even the people of Ekiti who self styled themselves the most educated people will be forced to ask their goats to write the next WASSCE. it is quietly rumoured that the southwesterners are thusly gifted in book learning that domestic livestock can pass a flimsy WASSCE with flying colours. They say the northerners allow their livestock to participate in the National Census Exercises so why won't others be allowed to do same?
Finally I want to suggest that the results of anambra and abia state be reviewed downwards with a view to limit their performance going forward as was done in the Army those days. while that of the north be reviewed upwards.
This is to promote equity fairness and balance across the country. |

50calibre: You're missing the point, this isn't just about the academics, it's about the whole package.
In terms of quality, you can't compare those schools to the average Nigerian school, the environment, the teachers, the facilities, the intellectual level, the pattern of learning.... are miles ahead of Nigerian standards.
Those schools are for the creme de la creme, no wannabe thugs, no poor people & most likely no bullies. Every kid is such school comes from an upper class, there kids develop network of important friends which comes handy in life. That's why you'd notice people of an upper class belong to a certain clique, these are where those cliques are formed.
People who send their kids there are not fools, if you got the money, send your kids there. |

Every student of philosophy and politics take note. St John of the Cross. This guy is best known for his work 'Dark night of the soul' this book and my girlfriend saved me from despair during my personal soul night. Any body who's passing through a difficult time should read this masterpiece. Sometimes it may be spiritually gain full to have to pass through certain hard times. its a must for philosophy enthusiasts. |
