The story will soon change. The long term effect of this barbaric and dastardly act will not go down well in the future. The full ramifications of it will soon be known. The typical Nigerian rejoices too soon, he is quick to pass judgement and conclusions. He doesn't bother with painstaking alternative or original thought. He awaits the sensationalism of the media and runs away with what they feed him with.
Politicians have keyed into this strategy to the extent that apart from a minister of information the Presidency has a whooping 5 media aides and one economic aide. Even to the extent that the ministry of information has more budgetary provisions than the Agric ministry.

That's why the chants of Sai Buhari have suddenly quietened and the reality of wrong choices have hit home. In IMO State the government refused to do its duty in order to punish the people. Imagine? The same people who put you in power. I can't understand it. In 18months these same government will go and campaign to the people to return to power. The people never learn and the Politicians know this.

Counter him with facts and not with tribal slurs. If HALF of what he says is true about appointments even against yobe then I think he has a point. This man I think is a moderate thinking Northerner, and it is his type that we the south can negotiate with to forge a new nation. I believe politics everywhere is just trading, the art of giving and taking. But Nigerian politicians are greedy and are ready to sacrifice their people for political survival. They create and sponsor all manner of distractions against a government when the outcome doesn't favour them or when it's not their turn to take from the table. Like NADECO, PRONACO, MAITSESANE, BOKO HARAM, RADIO BIAFRA, RADIO KUDIRAT, SHARIA LAW, NIGER DELTA AVANGERS, MEND, and all manner of distractions. Once they get what they want these organisations become benign and the media frenzy quietens. Look at the people calling for restructuring four years ago, Tinubus and Co, now they are silent. I watched the then governor of Lagos Fashola argue that if a state government can make laws in its house of assembly then it should be allowed to enforce those laws with the police in its jurisdiction. Today Fashola is awfully silent about the matter. Osinbajo openly said that Nigeria needs no restructuring few months ago , was this his view when he was attorney general in Lagos?

IN CONCLUSION
NIGERIA FROM A TO Z, NORTH TO SOUTH IS ONE SICK COUNTRY BECAUSE THE WRONG PEOPLE HAVE UNFETTERED ACCESS TO POLICY MAKING IN ALL ARMS OF GOVERNMENT.

We all know Dasuki is a witch-hunt for the coup of 1985. However under a fair law enforcement system he should have been granted bail and presumed innocent until proven guilty.

But to some people he's already guilty. The courtroom was on the pages of Lagos Ibadan newspapers. The prosecutors are the paper efitors, the judges are the politicians who distribute brown envelopes. and as Fela will say the readers are zombies. Media trial by propaganda is the new norm.
