Our polytechnics have failed, the apprenticeship system has produced more people with technical skills than all the polytechnics combined.

It is a big shame to our leaders!... It is a bigger shame to the citizens cos these same people will hail Sai Baba if he decides to drive through their community on his way to wherever it is he goes to.

And during election, they won't give their votes to a leader who promises to improve their situation, theyll vote based on tribal or religious sentiments or who gives them rice and cash.

It isn't Rocket Science... Not just low salaries though but low salaries and high cost of living!! Cos even directors who collect relatively higher salaries still need to be corrupt to bridge the gap.

House rents, school fees, fuel, transportation, electricity, gas, food prices all shot up by a higher factor than the salary increase. How do you expect people to survive without topping up their salary somehow??

So, when world bank and IMF use their economic wizardry to advise you to remove all subsidies and increase taxes and you don't increase salaries significantly... You lose all the gains to corruption

The standards of many UK universities have dropped and they'll take you as long as you can pay the fees especially London SouthBank University which you may as well call LASU London campus and University of Greenwich. With a well-written Statement of Purpose, they may over look your grades or with work experience in the field of study you want to embark on, you could get admission into better universities.

... Or you could just go to Houdegbe North America University in Benin Republic... All na abroad

Not in my backyard o, one in Warri and one in Kaduna which didn't work for the 16 years of PDP, the 8 years of Buhari but when Dangote comes on stream, they start working and refining (allegedly) and the FG through NNPCL still needs to import petroleum products to compete so that they don't allow a monopoly.

... And herein lies the problem! The problem of brazen corruption!

We have two refineries which the FG claims to be working and we have a private refinery which can cater for the local demand but the NNPC needs to import. Why?

Can anyone please explain the rationale behind this and how the price of import with all the added on components such as shipping costs and all other taxes still compete with the price of locally produced products?

We will learn a valuable lesson.. Unfortunately some will be too hungry to learn and will make the same mistake

If you ask them where the money is, they'll tell you it isn't actual cash saving ; they'll say it was the money which we would have paid if we were still subsidising.

What they won't tell you is that more than 50% of this wasnt paid towards any subsidy but stolen by the same people who today are fighting against Dangote refinery.

Since appointed, this one has been in the news everyday making one statement or the other.

Oga if you have submitted your tax reform suggestions, collect your consultancy fee and rest unless of course you are now lobbying for Minister of Finance or CBN governor.
