Christianity EtcHow 2 Pastors (father And Son), Heading 15 Churches, Converted To Islam. by afasayuti(op):
How 2 pastors (father and son), heading 15 churches, converted to Islam and also converted family and 10 churches members to Islam.

Pastor Yohannes and his father also a Christian Pastor, Heading 15 Churches in Sabah, Malaysia have converted to Islam. They have also managed to convert others and 10 out of 15 churches once under them were closed.

Pastor Yohannes was trained as a pastor for 8 years by the Council Movement Bible Study Borneo. He was then involved in the christian missionary works for two years in Malaysia. Later, on the invitation of the Council Movement Bible Study, Indonessia, he went for higher study on bible at Institute in Bangdung.

Back in Indonessia, the Former pastor Yohannes participated in many dialogues about Islam and christianity. His research on Quran and Bible plus reading books on Islam and dialogues with muslims finally lead him to the truth of Islam and he finally converted to Islam. He then changed his name to Muhammad Farran Abdullah.

When his father who was also a christian pastor got to know about the converssion of his son (Pastor Yohannes) to Islam, he was thrown out penniless by his father and mother. The father took a gun and shot him but the shot missed him. Pastor Yohannes later left the home to further his studies, particularly on Quranic memorization. According to him "During my 7 years of learning Islam, I never missed praying for my parents. Also whenever I met my friends I asked for their kindness to pray for my parents too. Being muslim I always show kindness to both my parents, phoning and saying good words to them".

Former Pastor Yohannes also said:

"Before I left (home), I told my parents that I will pray to the (Almighty) Allah that one day both of you and all our families will come to Islam. I will also pray that all the 15 churches we established will slso be closed." God accepted Yohannes' prayers and his mother, brother and sister converted to Islam. A year later his father and 30 families of relatives also converted to Islam.

As an ex-christian pastor, Yohannes' father managed to convert to Islam the christian members of 10 churches out of 15 churches which were under his supervision. Yohannes has also converted thousands of non muslims into Islam.

Presently Muhammad Farran Abdullah (Formely pastor Yohannes) is presently an Haafiz (one who memorised the whole of the Holy Quran), and for his intimate love and admiration for the words of God (Al-Quran), he is presently running a centre for Quranic memorization in Malaysia. He requests for the prayer of every muslims for success.

IslamOn Hijab Opposition, A Christian Nun Converted To Islam by afasayuti(op):
Hijab opposition made a christian nun to convert to Islam

A christian nun (catholic sister) named Stephanie, from south africa has converted to Islam due to the church opposition to hijab. According to the former nun, she stated the christians' act of indecent dressing and uncovering of their heads by the female christians, as one of the reasons for her decision, while adding also that she know very well that their action is clearly contrary to the teachings of the bible. She wonders how such acts of immodesty has became accepted as a norm within the modern day christianity while such was not the case with the ancient christians. She also claimed that she has brought this christians' contradictions to the teaching of the bible to the knowledge of many catholic priests who could not give any satisfactory answer except by rebufing her. She then said this issues and many more teachings of the church caused disatisfactions to her during her many years of her trainning as a nun. Finally, after a lot of research on Islam, she was able to get satisfactory answers to all of her religious questions that have being bordering her mind for long years and therefore she finally converted to Islam, where she attain happiness that has eluded her for many years. The former nun then became known as Sadiqah Ismat.

217 Bishops And Pastors Under Probe.

The Vatican’s representative in Mexico Nuncio Franco Coppola has said that 217 priests are being investigated for various se*ual abuse. He stated this at a conference to announce that the Vatican would send its top sex abuse investigators to Mexico later in March. He acknowledged that the magnitude of the problem “eludes” them because while the Mexican Episcopal Conference says 217 priests are being investigated, there are cases in which the religious order sent the complaint directly to Rome, meaning the number could be higher.

Nuncio Franco Coppola, the Vatican’s representative in Mexico did not provide details on the bishops’ possible roles, but noted that in January and December an email address opened to receive abuse allegations took in dozens of allegations, mostly accounts of cover ups.

Victims of clerical sex abuse have expressed skepticism over the Vatican investigative commission that will collect statements and information about abuse in Mexico, though most said they would meet with Pope Francis’ investigators.

The Vatican announced Tuesday that two investigators — Charles Scicluna, archbishop of Malta and deputy secretary for the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith and Jordi Bertomeu — will be in Mexico City March 20-27. They will meet with bishops, leaders of religious orders and victims who want to speak with them. They promise confidentiality.

Mexico, which has the second highest number of Catholics in the world, has been accumulating cases of abuse and cover-ups for years.

Meanwhile,The Mexican Episcopal Conference has submitted that some church officials went to Chile in 2018 to investigate one case of se*ual abuse and returned with 2,600 pages of statements from more than 60 victims.

1,700 Pastors Got "Miracle Charms" From Just A Single Witch Doctor.

...as Bishop Imakando advises Christians to be wary of crooks masquerading as pastors.

ZAMBIA like many other countries on the African continent has recorded a sharp increase in the number of clergymen with strange practices.

With most of them carrying the title of ‘Prophet,’ these clergymen are all over town telling the masses about their abilities to heal the sick, turning mineral water into petrol or wine, finding mates for the unmarried, finding jobs for the unemployed and for some— even resurrecting the dead.

As has been the case everywhere they are in Africa, such clergymen have proved to be serious crowd pullers. Their ability to perform great miracles have caused huge crowds to follow them.

However, rarely have questions been asked about their miracles because most Christians appear to be of the view that whoever performs great miracles is from the true God.

But if the recent revelations of a witch doctor from Ghana are anything to go by, then all those who believe that all miracle performing clerics are from God are in for a rude shock.

The dreaded fetish priest named Nana Kwaku Bonsam has revealed that he has given charms and "powers" to over 1,700 ‘pastors’ from many African countries including Zambia.

The witch doctor confirmed that indeed there are pastors who have, and still approach him seeking powers to start prominent churches and perform miracles.

“Yes it is true. I give powers to perform miracles to a lot of pastors. Currently I have over one thousand seven hundred and something pastors; I might need to look into my register for the figure. When they come to me I give golden rings to some of them after taking them through a ritual bath. I give them the ring and a Bible and .........their churches get more members who always want to see signs and wonders,” he revealed.

Asked if he would expose the false pastors who acquired "powers" from him to perform miracles, the sangoma said:

“I am only against those false pastors who have come to me for powers and yet are not keeping their mouth shut but rather making provocative statements against me. I am also against those who have gone for powers from other shrines yet preach against us and do not abide by our rules.”

He said if he wanted, he could do like any other false pastor who disguises using the Bible.

“I was born Stephen Osei Mensah. I was not born a fetish priest. I was attending church when I got possessed and if I wanted to do what others (false prophets) are doing I would have attached my fetish to my Bible and called myself Reverend Stephen Osei Mensah,” he said.

And giving a general comment on the influx of fake pastors in the country, Bishop Joe Imakando— who is the Presiding Bishop of Bread of Life Church International said that it was sad that the image of clergymen in Zambia has been tarnished by fake pastors.

Bishop Imakando said this in an interview at Lusaka’s Raddisson Blu Hotel where he was hosting a press briefing together with visiting United Kingdom cleric Bishop John Francis.

Islam is Better - Bishop Charles
- Also Converted His Church into Mosque.

A Homa Bay bishop has converted to Islam because he couldn’t stand how women wore indecently to his church.

Bishop Charles Okwany, formerly of God’s Call Church of East Africa, claims it is women wearing miniskirts to his church that drove him to convert his church to a mosque.

He claimed that unlike Muslims, most Christians are ‘immoral and pretenders’.

“My church was known as Nyalgosi God’s Call Church of East Africa, but it is now Nyalgosi Jamia Mosque,” he told the Nairobian.

“During my tenure as a Bishop, I travelled to Malindi, Mombasa, Nairobi and Tanzania to preach the word of God. I used to take advantage of the opportunity to study the conduct of both Christians and Muslims living in the areas, and it made me conclude that Islam is better,” said Okwany.

The 65-year-old Bishop has also acquired a new name, Ismael Okwany to conform to Islamic requirements.

He added: “The Biblical teachings discourage modes of dressing which are likely to motivate sexual desire in church. But it is unfortunate that some women wear miniskirts and other clothes that expose their private parts.”

“It was unfortunate that some people felt I was wrong when I discouraged indecent dressing yet they were the ones who were going against the will of God.”

His switch to Islam began by visiting a Muslim leader in Kisii County who referred him to Rangwe Imam, Mustafa Saoke.

On September 26, Okwany converted to Islam together with 23 other members of his church.

The mosque now has a population of 63 people after 30 Muslims who were in the entire Kagan ward decided to register their membership.

“I will go for a theological training on Islamic religion to enable me to preach the word of God in Islam. I had never joined a (Islamic) theology class but this will be my starting point,” Okwany stated.

According to Omar Al Bashir, a sheikh in Nyanza region, the mosque will be registered".

“Okwany and his former church elders have registration details of the church. We are going to change the registration details so that the mosque is duly registered,” said Bashir.

She talked in Lugandan language. The first video is about 45 mins. long while the second one is about 46 mins. long. The video can be listen to at the YouTube.

(5) Prof. Khadijah Watson (formerly Sue Watson)

"Formerly, I was a professor, pastor, church planner, missionary, and a radical fundamentalist."

"I had just graduated with my Master’s Degree in Divinity from an elite seminary"
Prof. Khadijah Watson, formerly Sue Watson, was, as she admits, “a radical Christian fundamentalist,” accepted islam when she found consistencies in the message, she said in the following narrative:

WHAT happened to you?” This was usually the first reaction I encountered when my former classmates, friends and co-pastors saw me after having embraced islam. I suppose I couldn’t blame them, I was a highly unlikely the person to change religions. Formerly, I was a professor, pastor, church planter and missionary. If anyone was a radical fundamentalist it was I.
I had just graduated with my Master’s Degree of Divinity from an elite seminary five months before. It was after that time I met a lady who had worked in Saudi Arabia and had embraced islam. Of course, I asked her about the treatment of women in islam. I was shocked at her answer. It wasn’t what I expected; so I proceeded to ask other questions relating to God and Muhammad (may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him). She informed me that she would take me to the Islamic Center where they would be better able to answer my questions.

Having taught Evangelism, I was quite shocked at their approach, it was direct and straightforward. No intimidation, no harassment, no psychological manipulation, no subliminal influence! I couldn’t believe it. They gave me some books and told me if I had some questions they were available to answer them in the office. That night I read all of the books they gave. It was the first time I had ever read a book about islam written by a Muslim, we had studied and read books about islam only written by Christians. The next day I spent 3 hours at the office asking questions. This went on every day for a week, by which time I had read 12 books and knew why Muslims are the hardest people in the world to convert to Christianity. Because there is nothing to offer them! In islam, there is a relationship with God, forgiveness of sins, salvation and promise of eternal life.

It is interesting to note that there were bishops during the first 300 years of the Church that were teaching as the Muslim believes, that Jesus (may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him) was a prophet and teacher! It was only after the conversion of Emperor Constantine that he was the one to call and introduce the doctrine of the Trinity.

He introduced a paganistic concept that goes back to Babylonian times. Space, however, does not permit me to go into detail about the subject, but God willing, we will another time. Only, I must point out that the word Trinity is not found in the Bible in any of its many translation nor is it found in the original Greek or Hebrew languages!

My other important question centered on Muhammad (may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him). I found out that Muslims do not pray to him like the Christians pray to Jesus. He is not an intermediary and in fact it is forbidden to pray to him. We ask blessing upon him at the end of our prayer but likewise we ask blessings on Abraham. He is a prophet and a messenger, the final and last prophet. In fact, even 14 centuries later, there has been no prophet after him. His message is for all mankind, as opposed to the message of Jesus or Moses (peace be upon them both), which was sent to the Jews. “Hear, O Israel” But the message is the same message of God. “The Lord Your God is One God and you shall have no other gods before Me.” (Mark 12:29)

Because prayer was a very important part of my Christian life I was both interested and curious to know what the Muslims were praying. As Christians we were as ignorant on this aspect of Muslim belief as on the other aspects. We thought and were taught, that the Muslims were bowing down to the Kaaba, in Makkah. Again, I was shocked to learn that the manner of prayer is prescribed by God, Himself. The words of the prayer are one of praise and exaltation. The approach to prayer (ablution or washing) in cleanliness is under the direction of God.
He is a Holy God and it is not for us to approach Him in an arbitrary manner, but only reasonable that He should tell us how we should approach Him. At the end of that week after having spent 8 years of formal theological studies, I knew cognitively that islam was true. But I did not embrace islam at that time because I did not believe it in my heart. I continued to pray, to read the Bible, to attend lectures at the Islamic Center. I was in earnest asking and seeking God’s direction. It is not easy to change your religion. I did not want to lose my salvation if there was salvation to lose.

I continued to be shocked and amazed at what I was learning because it was not what I was taught that islam believed. In my Master’s level, the professor I had was respected as an authority on islam yet his teaching and that of Christianity in general is full of misunderstanding. He and many Christians like him are sincere but they are sincerely wrong.

Two months later, after having once again prayed seeking God’s direction, I felt something drop into my being! I sat up, and it was the first time I was to use the name of God, and I said, “God, I believe you are the One and Only True God.” There was peace that descended upon me and from that day four years ago until now I have never regretted embracing islam. This decision did not come without trial.

I was fired from my job as I was teaching in two Bible Colleges at that time, ostracized by my former classmates, professors and co-pastors, disowned by my husband’s family, misunderstood by my adult children and suspected by my own government. Without the faith that enables man to stand up to Satanic forces I would not have been able to withstand all of this. I am ever so grateful to God that I am a Muslim and may I live and die a Muslim.

“Truly, my prayer, my service of sacrifice, my life and my death are all for God the Cherisher of the Worlds. No partner has He, this I am commanded. And I am the first of those who bow to God in islam.” (Qur’an, 6:162-163)

Islam106 Reasons: ‘why I Converted To Islam’ (part 1.) by afasayuti(op): 12:30pm On Feb 08, 2020
106 reasons: ‘Why I Converted to Islam’
(Part 1.)

Dubai’s Islamic affairs department recently published a book in which over a 100 people shared their reasons for converting (or reverting) to Islam. The UAE is perhaps one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world and hence the inputs from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives make the book especially interesting. We are happy to have transcribed them for you.

1.ONENESS OF GOD:

I accepted the religion of Islam because Islam is the only religion on the face of earth which strongly believes and adheres to the concept of One True God. In Islam, the concept of one God is very clear and its whole foundation is based on Monotheism. –CRNELIO SABADO, ADAM, PHILIPPINE.

2.GOD HAS NO GOD:

In most of the regions I learnt and found that every god in these religions has another god above him. For example, Christians believe that Jesus is God, but Jesus himself had God who was superior to him. In Islam, God has neither father nor son and no one is superior to Him. – LUCY CHILUMBA, MARYAM, ZAMBIA.

3.ALLAH IS VERY IMPORTANT IN ISLAM:

The importance of Allah is much higher among Muslims than any other people to their gods. I found Muslims keeping Allah in their minds all the time. – NATALIA BRICICARI, NOORA, MOLDOVA.

4.ALLAH HEARS ME WHEN I CALL HIM:

On losing my job and being alone a my labour camp, I started asking Allah like Muslims do requesting Him to find a way for me as I was having problems back home. Within a week I got the chance to restart my work and earn money. – KANNAN KUPPU, SAMEER, INDIA.

5.ALLAH HAS NO IMAGE:

The first time I came to know that Allah has no image was when there was a visit to a Masjid for Non Muslims conducted by Islamic Affairs Dept. After hearing the explanation about Allah that He Is almighty, all knowing and All-powerful, I accepted Islam. – MANUEL PARRA, MOOSA, ITALY.

6.ALLAH’S BEAUTIFUL NAMES:

My friend explained to me about the beautiful names and attributes that Allah has, and also explained to me their meanings. Allah has all good qualities which are benefitting Him alone. Allah’s being the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful brought me closer to Islam. – MARILYN GUNAO, LAILA, PHILIPINE.

7.WORSHIPING THE CREATOR NOT HIS CREATION:

I remember while sitting at the New Muslims Section, one of the Guides explained to me about the life of Prophet Abraham, who in the beginning worshiped the Star, Moon and Sun and at last he discovered that we should worship the Creator not His creation. – CHANDRIKA ABO, AYESHA, SRI LANKA.

8.WORSHIPING SO MANY GODS IN MY PREVIOUS RELIGION:

We were worshipping thousands of gods and we had different gods whom my parents and other family members were worshipping. From the beginning, I was not worshipping these gods. Once I came to Dubai, I stopped doing everything related to my religion and started believing in one true God and at last I found this concept in Islam. – ADARSH KUMAR, MUHAMMAD, INDIA.

9.ALLAH IS UNIVERSAL GOD:

In each region and place we have different gods, where as for Muslims, Allah is their God wherever they are. From Nepal to India, from Kashmir to KanyaKumari, you can list the names of our gods in thousands but for Muslims, they have one Universal God. – SANJANA SISODIYA, ASMA, INDIA.

10.GOD IS ONE IN COMMANDMENTS:

In 10 commandments of the Bible, it is mentioned that God is only One and we should worship Him alone but we do not follow these commands, whereas I found this concept very clearly only in Qur’an. – LEIMEN KAMWA, ABDUL RAHMAN, CAMEROON.

11.NOT WORSHIPPING MARY:

We worship Mary and my mother is very devoted to mother Mary, whereas it is not mentioned anywhere in the Holy Bible to worship her. While reading about Mother Mary in Islamic Books, I got precise information about her and I accepted Islam. – ALVA PAGADUAN, ZEENATH, PHILIPPINE.

12.JESUS WAS NOT SON OF GOD:

My study of Christianity through the Holy Bible and another books led me to believe and know that Jesus was not the son of God. In fact the term ‘SON’ is used for other prophets and pious men of God in the holy Bible, that mean Jesus is not only Son of God. – PAUL MARTIN, ABDUL RAHMAN, AUSTRALIA.

13.JESUS WAS JUST A PROPHET:

The concept of Jesus being a prophet is very clear and logical, as several times in the Bible it is mentioned that he was a prophet of God. The Holy Quran provides clear evidence that Jesus was neither god nor son of God; rather he was a prophet and messenger of God. – RYNO FOURIE, RAYYAN, SOUTH AFRICA.

14.JESUS NEVER SAID HE IS GOD:

It was shocking for me to know that Jesus had never stated in the Bible that he is God. This made me question my belief that Jesus is God, so I started reading about him till I reached the point that he is not God. MADELANE LUCIDO TATO, ADILA, PHILIPPINE.

15.BIBLE LED ME TO ISLAM:

Yes of course, after reading the Bible I accepted Islam. In fact the Bible helped me correct my beliefs and I read further about Islam. Thus I embraced Islam. – JOSEPH GRIFFIN, MUHAMMAD JAMEEL, UNITED KINGDOM.

The Islamic Affair Dept had conducted a Quiz Competition on Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the title “IF YOU KNOW HIM YOU WILL LOVE HIM” and had announced exciting prizes for the winner. To get the reward I spent day and night reading the book about the Prophet and surprisingly I was the winner (got 1st prize). After some days I started reading more books about Prophet Muhammad and embraced Islam. – CATHERINE DE VILLA, KHULSUM, PHILIPPINE.

17.PROPHET MUHAMMAD’S (PEACE BE UPON HIM) MERCY:

The Prophet’s immense mercy towards human beings (especially slaves and women), animals, environment etc. were the main reasons for me to accept the truth brought by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). – JOCHEN PFISTERER, YASIN, GERMANY.

18.PROPHET’S CHARACTER:

I read many books on prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and found that his character was very placid and perfect as he was famous even among his enemies as Al Sadiq (the Truthful) and Al Ameen (the Trustworthy). – JORJ NABIL, ABDULLAH, EGYPT.

19.WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT MUHAMMAD(S.A.W):

Reading a famous book themed “What Great people say about Muhammad”, a collection of sayings of great personalities like GerogeBernade Shaw, M.K.Gandhietc, about Muhammad (peace be upon him) not only helped me in understanding the prophet’s life but also helped me in accepting the message brought by him and in following the path he showed us. DALE PROPP, ABU BAKR, CANADA.

20.THE 100 A RANKING OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS IN HISTORY BOOK BY MICHAEL H. HART:

Once I came to know that in Michael Hart’s famous book, prohet Muhammad’s name is mentioned in the top list, I got a copy of it from an international airport free zone and started reading about him and I read some other books on the life of the Prophet and accepted Islam. – GONZALO GARCIA, MUHAMMAD SAUOOD, AMERICA.

From keeping a beard to entering home, looking at mirror etc.,helped me to follow the same way of Muhammad as Muslims do. – RAJASEKHARAN NAIR, ABDULLAH, INDIA.

22.ISLAM’S ACCEPTANCE OF ALL THE PROPHETS:

I was surprised once I came to know that Muslims believe in all the Messengers and Prophets of God mentioned in the Holy Bible like Abraham, Moses, David, Solomon, John and Jesus etc, and I had been informed that all the messengers and prophets were following one religion and brought one message. – GEOLGE ELIAS, ISHAQ, LEBANON.

23.THE FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM:

Islam is perfect in its concept and in its practice. The Five Pillars of Islam is designed very perfectly and emphases on every part of our life like inner faith, physical acceptance, feeling hunger, helping needy and global brotherhood. – DALIA SABIANO, SARA, PHILIPPINE.

24.EASY CONCEPT OF ISLAM BELIEFS:

The first thing which I learnt about Islam was about six pillars of faith. Every pillar of faith is there in Biblical scripts. But I found these in Islam very organized and adequate. Once my class was over on the topic, I asked my teacher to make me Muslim. – DESILDA E. ESTEBAN, ZULIKHA, PHILIPPINE.

25.QURAN THE BOOK OF ALLAH:

In college time, I got chance to get a copy of the Holy from one of my friends which helped me to understand Islam very clearly. I kept hat copy of the Quran with me for long time and continued reading it frequently. Once I visited Dubai, I accepted Islam. – SONIA KHIACA, KHADIJA, INDIA.

26.QURAN RESPECTS JESUS:

I even had no knowledge that Muslims acknowledge Jesus, once I came to know that Muslims believe in Jesus, his name is mentioned in the Quran several time and it is obligated upon every Muslim to believe in him and respect him, I started reading the Holy Quran and I found that Quran respects Jesus and provides clear picture about his personality. – DENISH AMONE, IBRAHIM, UGANDA.

5 Female Pastors who Converted to Islam- What are Their Reasons.

The number of former pastors who have dumped Christianity and embraced Islam, after seen its beauty, are numerous. Among them are also high number of female pastors. In this article I intend to briefly take a look at only five of such former female pastors.

(1) Juliet Cole, now Haddijatou Cole

Cole is a 54-year-old female pastor. She converted to Islam less than 24 hours after Dr. Zakir Naik, a renowned Islamic scholar and expert in comparative religion, delivered his fourth and final lecture at the Kairaba Beach Hotel in Kololi, The Gambia.

“The new converts just like me are out there facing trouble with families and friends, but it is only Almighty Allah that will help them."

She called on Muslims to embrace (other) new converts with a good heart just as Allah revealed in the Holy Qur’an.

Revealing the reason why she dumbed Christianity, Hauwau said she find peace in Islam which is the true religion of peace and equity from Almighty Allah.

(3) Sinéad O'Connor (Famous Irish singer and former priest.

"I am proud to have become a Muslim. This is the natural conclusion of any intelligent theologian's journey," she tweeted.

The 51-year-old also changed her profile picture on Twitter to "Wear A Hijab: Just Do It," referencing Nike's slogan. She also included Nike's famous swoosh in the photo..

Back in the 1990s, O'Connor was ordained a priest by the Irish Orthodox and Apostolic Church. In 2011, she criticized the Catholic Church over the child sex abuse scandal.
