killing of anyone whether muslim, christain, pagan, ibo, hausa ,fulani, yoruba etc is wrong!!! am a christain and my bible do not preach killing a fellow man regardless of ethnicity or religion I strongly feel what we need to do as Nigerians is to fight to amend our constitution to provide for laws thats promotes good governance, development and unity. Gob bless Nigeria, ! |
why waste tax payers money to build an ultra modern intensive care unit for the president those this mean such projects are in anticipatory of a future sick president? one would expect such facility be built inside the national hospital for the benefit of all not for only an individual and/or his lieutenants!!! |
He should shut his trap!! I have seen cars adorning Abacha, Buhari and even IBB pictures as stickers, his was both military and civilian governments why have i not seen any of his apologist adorn his sticker? he is a bad product to eulogise. |
While not trying to be an umpire here. I do nonprofit work hence have a radical and non conformist attitude/approach to happenings in our country pari-passu external influences (after all most funding emanates from there). Homosexuality is disgusting to me, yes this is relative !! In Nigeria I have attended workshops where gays where represented under different pressure groups advocating for recognition at social policy level though I was indifferent to their contributions, because of my training I try my best to hang on till the end of these workshops sitting beside them made me so spastic. Jprospero,Nex, Sagamite and Beneli’s posts where apt and logical and I agree that if genetic nay nature allows acceptability of homosexuality then craddle-robbers and incest acts be accepted too. I sympathise with the gay society greatly (though unsolicited) , in Uganda a bill known as The Anti-Homosexuality Act of 2009 is on the floor of parliament, Rwanda has followed suit too. In uganda they are proposing death penalty for a second/repeat offender. Sefago, Morpheus24, Omo law uk and Bawomolo have tried to prove the contrary but I refuse to accept that it be legalized while I agree that they should not be discriminated on but be assisted with psychiatric help as people with sexual disorder. To Sefago, I believe Nigeria will be a world power someday soon!!! |
from responses here majority of us men would rather hit a lady than use alternative means to checkmate their excesses. We actually choose to be monsters!! |
Its long overdue he needs to be put in where he rightly belongs, jail!!! |

TO SAY THE OBVIOUS AM INDIFFERENT TO WHETHER WE HAVE MR PRESIDENT HAND OVER OR NOT. WHEN WE ALLOW PEOPLE WHO LACK INTEGRITY HOLD US BONDAGE WHAT WE GET IS THIS SPECIAL DISRESPECT AND ABUSE OF OUR COLLECTIVE PSYCHE. EVEN THE SO CALLED CONSTITUTION IS AN A.S.S!!! LETS YEARN AND STRUGGLE FOR GENUINE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS. |
ITS ALL FUN READING YOU ALL ARGUE OVER WHO DOMINATES WHO! YEP AM A MINORITY AND WILL JUST KEEP READING YOU ALL TEARING YOURSELVES APART, WHILE I THINK OF HOW TO SURVIVE IN THIS CLIME OF UNCERTAINTY OUR COUNTRY IS!! |

As much as I disagree with Onwan using diatribes on the personalities of Falana and Soyinka and contributors of Nairaland I am in agreement with him when he wrote about their (Soyinka and Falana) motives. Falana made so much money working for Ribadu as EFCC lawyer at the instance of the then AG federation. Lack of patronage from Aondoakaa hence the hatred for the new AG (while not holding brief for Aondoakaa , Am no fan of ANY public servant in office since Obj to date). Soyinka know how past protests in Nigeria had not given desired results I want to believe that Tpia and I share in the patriotism of Monkeyleg, Gbawe, Londoner, Edoya and others who yearn for a better Nigeria but will agree that having these protests in London, Australia and New York will not change a bit of the ugly Nigeria situation I can only imagine how much of donor agencies’ funds has gone to private pockets, What we need is either a proper electoral reform. We should expend more energy in pushing these electoral reforms that will give us desired leaders those in the civil society know this very well and we have been lobbying for this and results are trickling in gradually (effective election will give desired leaders) only then will we weed out the “comedians” who parade themselves as distinguished and honourable weaklings. If we indeed have a virile national assembly Yar a Dua would have been impeached long ago or we wrestle the leadership through what beaf referred to as a ‘Sovereign National Conference’. |
Your friend had better forgive her! she was only caught drinking and smoking not screwing!!! He shd remember SECOND CHANCE and not just dump and break her heart after more than 4yrs old sweet relationship with only a day smoking and drinking. lol!!! |
As you celebrate your birthday today, His goodness and mercies shall follow u all the days of your life and you shall dwell in His bosom, Amen. Happy Birthday!!! |
I have always said we are on a journey to Somalia which literally means a failed state. Nigeria cannot boast of anything our education has decayed , we can’t have decent housing, our health system is stagnant, roads in bad shapes, power non existing, we cannot feed ourselves, unemployment alarming, corrupt politicians ,we import virtually everything including clothing. we are indeed a failed state!!!! |
My broda that one bad oooo!!!druging her no still mean say you remove the maga. You go just thank God say U find out. Though the bobo wey tell you no try, he for no tell you. hence you no go think of revenge. |
Hi my great NL folks. If you have for any reason whatsoever raised your hands to hit a woman before? then you are nothing but a MONSTER. there are one million and one ways to deal with a woman when she misbehaves without reaching out to HIT her. ONLY WEAK MEN HIT WOMEN. Please choose as applicable to your situation from the one million and one alternatives to beating. |
Yep. I have had one. Whilst trying to woe her to have a relationship all she needed was a fling. Gave it to her and she won’t want anything to do with me ever again. I persisted but no way… the rest is history. |
Coming out from a failed relationship (fault not mine), I came across this anonymous piece below by chance and reading it has influenced me greatly regarding how I relate with women afterwards, I have though refused to apply the forgiving part of it as prescribed. I still feel the writer has over protected the being called woman….what do you think? “I have been such a great lover of women all my life. I found out women are like the jelly fish! You need not add any seasoning to them you savor them as they are. I do disagree with my men folk when they say “women are the same” I believe every woman is bestowed with unique attributes because they are beautifully made by God. I hate it when men lie to them, deceive, beat, and keep a sizeable number of them at a time. All a man need to do is pamper her, understand her and forgive her almost at all times.” |
“Obama Breaks Tradition” is not an appropriate topic here!! Obama has some African pedigree hence there is nothing wrong In showing the monarch some respect. Maybe he should not even shake hands Or hug anyone so he can “keep tradition” |
Dele Momodu is known for his appetite to "survive" like some other entrepreneurs would. The means he has chosen to do that has been his albatross till date, he has every reason to want to always defend himself whenever he feels malign by anyone via the internet and the print media, what I see in him is his petty desire to want to reply to every criticism, I guess he should employ someone like a media adviser to help him decide and sift what criticism requires a reply or not. He may also want to ask himself why the charade of criticism? I can bet he is not a controversial and spiteful person but very snooty to a fault as it reflects in his writeups and exhibited in his letter to Jarus. |
As much as I agree that we have a debased, misnomer, deficient, treacherous, and perilous nation called Nigeria ,Publisher’s thread to me seems a comic relief…having read almost all the threads from that followed it I can only see the possibility of having a southern Nigeria as a mirage, the "quarrels" exhibited from the contributions to the thread between ONLYTRUTH and EmperorOlu on one hand and SEFAGO and DEDE1 on the other proved an interesting reading. Emperorolu need to have some respect for other contributors and not thrive in invectives same applies to Dede1 though Sefago was pretty ready with a beautiful reply. Please BEAF should never refer to Afemai as one of the smallest ethnic groups. your maps where great especially the one that depicted some semblance to Iraq, ![]() |

El rufai is a wise man. He dosent believe in the entire system. The courts he disobeyed their orders while demolishing houses he feels he cant get succour from them. The national assembly where he accused some members of corruption, and where he was petitioned, "tried" and found culpable not in absentia though, because his lawyers represented him. The executive (who controls the police and efcc ) he disparaged the president and his entire cabinet with diatribes and invectives well published globally. He should know he is in a great mess, let his deeds judge him by returning to prove pundits wrong of all allegations. Am sorry I dont see him coming out unscatched!!!! he better remain and keep his voluntary fugitive status alive. |
We can readily see the need for alarmist headlines and stories to booost sales, These papers having deceived the populace during the june 12 imbroglio nay Abacha terror are in want of stories to publish, probably been better to close shop than to heat up the finanacial sector with such debauched story. |
