is that a testimony? so which University offered you admission? coz you're talking as if you're not intelligent....

however, there are many Ilorite and Kwaran suffering of Admission to other schools that is not in their catchment area, and that's how every university does their things....

buh there is an important question, why don't you apply to Universities in your state? be sincere with yourself coz that's where you lost...

loving oneself is not a sin bro....
1. stop being so evasive we are not talking about catchment here were talking about transparency. even if you are using catchment let us know how you go about doing you cant just give admission randomly. 2. i believed it was a slip of tongue to say am not intelligent 3. i think catchment should be scraped this is 2017 my friend, it doesnt encourage hardwork and also compromises standard
note: not every university uses catchment
4. Am from Oyo state the Host state to the premier University of Ibadan. i only wanted to come to ilorin just in other to leave my home and family so as to garner experiences and learn how to do things and make decision on my own.

as much as i would av liked to applied to unilorin but the non transparent nature of their admission process is a turnoff for me. i dont like to be uncertain, why do i have to be at the mercy of the institution even after having a good grade. they will deceived candidate that they accept 180 and above just to get money into the school's coffer to the detriment of admission seekers. aspirant with low grade may get admitted while an aspirant with relatively high grade may not be admitted into the same dept, funny enough you will not no WHY. just pity some ppl sha

You're still missing the point.
This is something I enjoy. If you're an extrovert, you enjoy everything that comes with it cause that's what makes sense to you and you don't wanna change it.
You know the way extroverts don't understand how someone can stay alone and claim to be happy? That's how I wonder how extroverts survive too.
I'm kinda good with words, I make my opinion known without fear of intimidation, I can address a public gathering if the need arises. What else can I ask for? I'm good Bro.
I don't start friendship not because I'm scared, but because I don't see the need for it. Trust me, I don't want any forced friendship cause I can't sustain it.
I get it u are happy that way but there some who aren't happy being an introvert they actually want to socialize but couldn't, do you agree

Babs, someone who's shy and has low self esteem will move into a corner and say they're introverted. There's a difference.
Being shy and being introverted aren't the same thing, although they may look the same. An introvert enjoys time alone and gets emotionally drained after spending a lot of time with others. A shy person doesn't necessarily want to be alone but is afraid to interact with others.
you are making sense this might be true sha but there are some that are both shy and introvert.

You cannot overcome being an introvert. Anyone who goes about thinking the world is the watching them probably has self esteem issues. You can only overcome being shy, you can build your self confidence and these things are not just applicable to introverts.
Just like you can't overcome being an extrovert.
Bottom line is, you can't change these things.
wrong introvert is the combination of both if you can express ur feeling to some one you love then you av self esteem issues and if you can't show up in parties or events then u are timid
Nairaland GeneralRe: Introverts, Share Your Challenges Here by afoobabs(m):
there are two way to overcoming being an introvert 1. try and become an IDGAF i.e. I don't give a Bleep in real life stop concerning ursef with what ppl say, think or feel abt you, it doesn't really matter more so who even get ur time the world don't give a Bleep so u shouldn't as well. introverts think and feel all eyes are on them which is wrong everyman has his/ her own problem that he is facing squarely so they aren't looking at you
2. The spirit of street. you can hardly find an introvert in the street the spirit of the street will chase out the introvert out of u any street guy will understand this. in most case introvert are kids from reserved home gra, estate flats self con and so on there lifestyle has been program to be secluded. they can live for months without talking to neighbors but living in the street gives u the opportunity to have encounter with people day in day out u will be forced out of ur shell. I can relate with what every one has been saying. but this two things help a lot now am becoming a talkative I can now initiate a convo among friends.

it all started when i started entering politics section on 2go. there are a lot of tribalistic user in there infact they dont discuss any thing reasonable there other than tribal war, i was compelled to reply the ignorant users whom i have perceived to have been misinformed or totally brainshed and full of hatred for my tribe. later i graduated to Nairaland, Nairaland is very interesting but if you dont want to be turned to tribalistic bigot dont enter the politics and crime section. even adult and educated ones there are tribalistic. It is iresistible Op, its not everyone that can sit and watch his/her tribe, people, elders, mentors, heros, and ancestors abused and their image battered by one dick tom and harry. i am guilty of making tribalistic comment op, but i dont start it, i only do it as a reprisal. bcus some ppl knows how to force you to loose your cool. now i think i wil rather use the report button instead of replying a tribalistic comment, because getting barn will be a bigger blow to such person instead of me joining him in his folly (asepe fun weere jo ohun re legbera). i hope good nairalanders will also learn from this thread
thanks op, am i changed person now.

Good day,sir.

As regards switching discipline after the first session in school. It's very possible but not too certain because of the rigours involved in its process so you will have to erase ever nursing such thought.

If you are to apply for Philosophy, Literature will be very compulsory(both in UTME and O'level),which i seriously doubt you registered in your UTME combinations. Therefore,You will have to opt for the usage of combined result.I dont know how combined o'level grades are been calculated but with my very little knowledge,It might further damage your admission chances.

If I am to sincerely advise you,I'd suggest you go for something 'educational'.

But on UI portal this was requirement:
Arts Philosophy 10501B (Direct entry)Two ‘A’ level passes in ONE Arts subject and any other Arts/Social Science or Science (e.g. Mathematics, Physics, e.t.c.) subject.
(utme combination )English Language, one Arts subject and any other two subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science.
(olevel combination)5 'O' level subjects at one sitting or 6 'O' level subjects at two sittings to include: English Language, one Arts subject and any other three or four subjects from Arts, Social Sciences or Science. (Waivers remark) One Arts subject is not the same as English Language which is compulsory for all candidates .
So judging from the requirement it was not mention anywhere that literature is compulsory or has it been changed.

education hmmm u sure didn't said that.

Question 1: please how difficult/easy is it for someone to change his course in year 2 in UI. Someone (an ex student) told me it is next to impossibility how true is this and can some one change from one faculty to another e.g from faculty of art to social science or to faculty of law.

Question 2: would you advice me to use one sitting or two sittings in this kind of situation. i apply for economics in utme and i scored 244 but calculating my weighted score i discovered that am nowhere near the cutoff for economics not even edu economics due to my o level grades which was 2(b3) 2(c5) and 1(c6) so am now opting for philosophy which i think am qualified for, in respect to the last year cutoff. but the dilemma now is that i have been hearing people saying that the cutoff may be increased this year, as last year cutoff mark for philosophy was 50 and my weighted score now is 52 hope it wont be higher than my score this year. meanwhile i dont have lit-in-english in the o level mentioned above which i had in another exam(NECO)(b3) if i add it to my olevel it may hit 54 point since it is allowed to use 6 olevel subject for 2 sitting i think this may boost my chances of getting an admission. or what do you think

Meanwhile politicians get a free pass.

Nigerians are just too barbaric, and they focus their energy on the wrong people. Not saying this thief is right, but why are people silent when politicians rob them silly each passing day?!
haba what are you saying, there is no excuse or justification for theft, let them beat the spirit of theft out of this one first, before he become a politician and start stealing our billions. as for the the politician they may not get thier own beating today but i know they will never go unpunished it might not be now but surely later, it might not be by human but surely by God. just two week ago my neighbor phone (Blu) that was sent to him from oversea was stolen by one of these guys, till now hasnt gotten another phone he was force to go back to his old nokia touch, i am very sure that if my neighbor was lucky enough to be at this very scene today he would personally break this guys head with a log.

But why do Nigerians take justice into their hands? Catch him and call police, they will beat him inside there. This is bad.

Please ooo when to peiole catch rapist e.g "70 year old rape 12year old" why don't they beat them? People will be commenting "spiritual konji" if I hear......

If we want to do things our own way, treat all criminals equally. beat the konji commot person body.
Which police? Nigerian police! it would not surprise you that they may release the thief and arrest you the victims, that reminds me of a particular time that we caught a thief in my area and we took him to the station without beaten the guy(except for few slaps and punches)the police claimed that we have beaten the guy too much. you wouldn't believe that immediately we handed the guy over to the police he started talking back to us, bragging and even threatening and our dear Nigeria Police was unable to do anything other than granting the guy bail the following day(the fear of him coming back again griped everyone because he hasn't learn his lesson). ever since then wenever we catch any thieve we first strip him unclad, beat him black and blue (even breaking some bones in his body)and then hand him over to the police. We will be rest assured that even if the police release such person, his life will never remain the same. if you avnt been robbed before you can't understand the the kind trauma that theft victim normally go through. bcus if you do, you will suffer not a thief to live/leave

Heavens seems so far in this physical dimension. In the spiritual dimension its a stroll away. The unique thing about man is that he both exist in physical and spiritual. God only defer such understanding at the tower if Babel to allow fulfillment of his plans for mankind.
