Eminem owned Jigga on RENEGADE but the difference was marginal. . . . .Nas only blew shit outta proportion to sound relevant.
Nas outclassed AZ on "Life's A Bitch" but it explains nothing, really.
Well, you failed the first test, Em's flow was flames but lyrically, Jay got it. The second one you passed, AZ's flow was riciculous but Nas' lyrical prowess was so evident on this track. Both are two of the best HH songs of all time.

I asked the question to see if you really listen to lyrics or if you're just blown away by the flow. No matter how nice someone's flow is, the lyrics is what makes a song. Em's flow is majestic but his albums still have no replay value,  That is the point. Though the his lyrics on Renegade were nice as hell, Jay Z still glossed him, same can be said of AZ.

Female?? shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked shocked
Wow.
Yes, this is true, lol.

Hehehehehehehe. You are one funny kike!!!

R.Kelly has not changed his styles. Mariah Carey at 50 still wants her body to be touched like she's still Rihanna.
Fela Anikulapo Kuti did not change his style till he passed away and yet Eminem should change his style cos he's 36.
That argument doesn't wash with me. . . . . .He will lose 99% of his fanbase if he decides to go soft.

What does it matter? Jay was also Jigga, S.Carter, Hova.

Spending from 88 is different from i sold drugs in 88 and i am still living off the proceeds.

U are funny dude. . . . .

Taking Nas' track on his best album and comparing it with Jigga's average track won't wash with me.
Letz compare Jigga's "Money Ain't A Thing" to Nasir's "Money's My Bitch".
Lol, you're equivocating like a m0therfukker, wow! Dude, firstly 'Life's a bitch is far from mediocre but then I am talking to you, so hey! When I said who came better, I meant, between Jay and Em on 'Renegade' and Nas and Az on 'Life is a bitch'.

Also, I am female not male, ok?

'my fans swear by my name' . . . bo hoo, pity no one's doing that now. Blackthought was overshadowed by Em on that cypher.

O-Kay, Lol.

It's a CYPHA so there's no need to stay on a specific subject matter and what has his age gotta do with his skills?

Black thought rapped n flowed like many of the Old School rappers would flow but RAP has evolved.
U gotta put comedy, horror and thriller into your lyrics and that is what sets Eminem apart from the rest.
Rap is about entertainment. . . . . .Black Thought took things too seriously and he still got owned by a cracker. grin grin grin grin

Go and listen to his bragz when he was in THE FIRM with Foxxy Brown, Nature and AZ.

Where did Jigga claim this?

Jigga's first THREE albums were undeniable classics thus giving him the impetus to diss Nas about his 1 good album every 10 years.

Shook Ones?? Great song but come on. . . . . . .Jigga's made several hits that shit on "Shook Ones".
You're not only a Jay Stan, you're also an Em stan, wow! Rap has evolved but you man Em has not! Dude is still rapping like an 22 year old, who has just come into contact with females,

Lol, did it occur to you that Nas was a character in the firm? 'Escobar'?

Lol, so you have never heard Jay say 'I am still spending from '88'? Wow! It on DP from his first album and on so many songs since.

Okay, I am going to ask you one question, this how you'll confirm my suspicions about you. Who came better on the two songs; 'Renegade' and 'Life's a bitch'

It's not about what you say, it's how you phrase it . . . he made homo-rape sound like driveby shootings.
I beg to differ, it is exactly what you say that gets the crowd hyped. I listened to the the entire thing and these are my top three

Black Thought
Joe Budden
Em.

I dunno, dude does not do it for me anymore, I loved SSLP but since then, it has been downhill.

Lol, are you high? A 36 year old man rapping about the size of penis and making out with Taylor Swift? Hello? Black thought rapped and flowed like a real MC's supposed to. Em stays talking about drugs and rape, Lol. His flow was ill, as usual but his subject matter left me cold.

50 cent had nothing in 2002. We all know how the rap game is.
Who didn't start as a broke-ass nigga? Biggie(begging Puffy for a deal) or Eminem(pissing his life away in Rap Olympics).
Everyone has a beginning.
I don't give a rat's ass about Jigga being a tramp in 88. See what he's become and see the difference between him and Nas in the industry today.

Whatz the obsession?
After Biggie passed away, Jigga came through with 2 undeniable classics. . . ."Reasonable Doubt" and "In My Lifetime" that sent him on his way to become the King Of New York. I don't see how Jigga coulda been obsessed with Nas whose best record(Illmatic) was "slept on" for several years.
Dude, Nas never bragged on shyt he did not have. Jay Z's whole thing about not needing to rap cos he still spending money from '88, hello? Do listen to the music or just skim through it? BTW, IML Vol. 1 was NOT a classic, it had some good songs on there but a classic? Come on dawg! Jay is wealthy now and I do not care, I love the music, that is where is it starts and ends for me. But when a dude is lying and he gets called out on it, that dude takes an L. Jigga took and L and he admitted it, I dunno why you are still heated about it. Dude admit he lost, goodness!

P was a ballerina as a kid, Tupac was also a dancer as a kid. Has Jay Z ever in his life made a track like 'Shook ones'? Like  P said Jay is only a 'Note-book crook'

Jay-Z brought pics of QB niggas in ballerina costumes . . . that's murder grin grin
He bleeped his babymama . . . there's proof for that
'Is it ochie-ochie wally wally or One Mic??' . . . well documented
He's gone on to have a better career . . . there's proof

Real needs proof . . . real is going personal, real is digging undeniable shit . . . that's what Ja did to Eminem, that's what Hov did to Nas.
All that 'you sold your soul for riches' will win a rap beef . . . the real stab is the things that remain long after the beef is over.
Lol! Nas have never been a superstar rapper, dude sells plat or 2x at most. Let me tell you how now that 'Ether' was the best diss, your man Jay admitted it!!! Shyt!. To 'Ether' someone is now verb! Anyone, I ain't gonna be on here arguing here with you dudes, I know what I know, Jay got stung by Nas, he admitted it and he was almost crying on Hot 97.

ROFLMAOWPIMP. . . . .

What about. . . .

You no mustache having, with whiskers like a rat
Compared to Beans you wack

Or make records to disrespect me, blatent or indirectly
In '88 you was getting chased through your building
Calling my crib and I ain't even give you my numbers
All I did was gave you a style for you to run with
Smiling in my face, glad to break bread with the god
Wearing Jaz chains, no tecs, no cash, no cars
No jail bars Jigga, no pies, no case
Just Hawaiian shirts, hanging with little Chase

Mode-9's DEATHBLOW had more punchlines than Nas' ETHER and i ain't trying to be funny. grin grin grin
This is why your opinions on HH is suspect to me, do you know that the about verse is 100% true? How many times have you heard Jay Z said he has been making money since '88? Do you know that Jay bit Nas' style? Dude had zilch in 88, no do, no click, no hoes. But I loves me some Jigga.

What volumes?

It was a back n forth diss tracks.

Takeover preceded Ether.
ETHER preceded Blueprint 2
Blueprint 2 preceded Last Nigga Alive(Nas' last huffin n puffin).

I wonder. . . . . .Ja and Ashanti were ripping the industry back in the days until the MURDER INC vs AFTERMATH war.
Eminem destroyed Ja Rule, Benzino, The Source Magazine and MURDER INC.
Ever since then, their whole record label nose-dived.
Lol, so what denotes quality is how many records you sell, Vanilla Ice also sold millions or records, does that mean he was a hot MC? Come on, dude! Ja Rule was making 'Grease' video and singing RnB? They sucked.

You are right, Benzino got destroyed by Eminem, I really enjoyed that diss.

You said Ja had the best line with the Halie diss . . . even Em admitted that it was only good because it went personal from then
Jigga did the 'I came in your Bentley backseat, Skeeted in your Jeep, left condoms on your babyseat ' and the 'one good album in ten years' lines.
That's as real as real gets . . . even after the beef, Jay-Z's lines still hit deep.

Murder Inc artistes were on top of every chart . . . they had really good ish
Ashanti was what Beyonce is today . . . how cana group that had Ja, Ashanti and Rah Digga be crap??
Eminem murked the Inc . . .there's no question about that.
Lol, all you have to do is to listen to Jay Z's reaction when he heard 'Ether' dude was almost crying on Hot 97. Nas, told him his life story, (Jay Z is actually my favourite MC), Jay wanted us to believe he has been selling drugs since '88, Nas pulled his card,  And to further add veracity to what Nas' said, all Jay's ex-boys have since confirmed it.

As for Jay sleeping with Carmen, it's just more proof that he was obsessed with Nas!

Jah was a decent Mc but the shyt he was doing with Ashanti was straight up embarrassing.

Nas won nowt. . . . . .Many things went against Jigga outside the diss tracks. . . .
First all, Jigga was boasting about sleeping with Nas' mistress and the fact that he was inciting Brooklyn to stand up for him in "Super Ugly".
Jigga's mom forced Jigga to apologise to the chic Jigga boasted he had slept with and women in general were disgusted about Jigga's kiss-n-tell moves

However, bar for bar, punches for punches. . . . .Blueprint 2 shits on ETHER.
You have no sense of irony do you? The fact that Jay Z had to make a Blueprint 2 speaks volumes!

Takeover wasn't even a proper diss track.
Go and listen to Blueprint 2. Cats just wanted Nas to win and he won.
Lol, no, Nas really won. Dude, the fact that you think Em was the best in this BET cypher shows me how you listen to Hip Hop, so, I'll just agree to disagree.

Come one . . . you can't win a battle with just one bar.
Jay-Z dropped the realest shit in the Hov V Nas battle, did he win??

That Hail Mary track did more than end Ja's career . . . it destroyed Murder Inc.
Muder Inc. were destroyed because they were truly wack. Jack's diss to Em was real, real cold. As far as Jay dropping the realest ish, that is a damn lie! I actually think Takeover is the better diss but Ether was realer,

But that verse won the battle for Eminem.
His career went higher, Ja Rule's career nose-dived.

Ja would wish to be Eminem today and that's a white boy dominating an art known to niggaz.
Shame on Ja and Irv Gotti.
Ok, you think Em won, I think Ja won, let's agree to disagree, ok. Lol, Em sells the most, just like Elvis sold the most but know I would not put on Elvis if I wanted to hear real rock and roll, you dig?

~Sauron~:
Great line but how can a single line win a battle?
This verse won it for Eminem. . . .

Everybody's in a rush try to get the throne
I just get on the track and try to set the tone
I ain't tryna use nobody as a steppin stone
But don't compare me . . .I'm better off jus' left alone
And I ain't even tryna go there wit record sales
I'm just tryna keep it humble and respect myself
Say what up, keep steppin, and just rep D-12
Keep my nose clean, stay away from weapons, jail
And livin wreckless
But if you go check my belt
You may see something else I used to protect myself
A vest, to stop a Rueger and deflect the shells
And send 'em back at you faster than they left the barrel
And I don't even carry guns no more, I don't got to
Got undercover cops that'll legally pop you
And I done seen a lot of people cross the line

But this motherfucker Ja musta lost his mind
That X, got him thinkin' he was DMX
Then he switched to 'Pac now he's tryna be him next
So which one are you? X, Luther, Pac or Michael
Juss keep singin' the same song, recycled
We'd all much rather get along and fight you
Me and Hailie danced to your songs we liked you
And you don't really wanna step inside no mic booth
C'mon now, you know the white boy'll bite you
I hurt your pride dawg and you know I don't like to
But I will if I have to, with syllable after syllable I just slap you
Killin' you fasta than you poppin' pill afta little pill of them tabs of that shit you on

But if you want it you got it you'd bump this shit too, if we ain't diss you on it
But if we lock horns we can charge harder than Busta
We bump heads wit any motherfucker that wants to
So whats the, deal where was all the tough talk?
When I walked up to you like, Ja what up dawg?
How come you didn't say you had a problem then?
When you was standin' there wit all your men, we coulda solved this then
I'ma grown man dawg come holla
All you did was slap hands, smile and swallow,
another one of them little X pills in front of me
And tell me 50 Cent was everything you wanna be come on
Lol at Em talking about swallowing pills, Em the vicodin addict, come on dawg! The second verse came hard but the rest of this is just a$$ cheeks.

@Afrocynic I don't care about what you think about Em. But you think that Ja's line was the maddest in that battle? And Ja also killed Em in that battle? Lmaoooooo
Yes, Ja killed him, I maintain and don't think you can infer from that that I do not know about hip hop. I sincerely believe that Em lost because Ja called him out on shyt he's really sensitive about. His daughter, the fact that he is a wannabe. So, that wins it for moi.

Dude make horror music, the kinda shyt you listen to and wanna throw up, I listened to his latest joint once, dude is talking about getting raped by his dad and all sorts of sick things.

His production sucks, the silly accent he had on his last joint sucks but as usual, his rhyme scheme, flows and metaphors were off the chain, shame he has no replay value though. When it comes to flow, seriously Em is a monster, I could listen to him freestyle for days but as for his record, hell nah!

Eminem and his mates ended Ja's career while bringing down other cats in MURDER INC(Ashanti, LLoyd, Irv Gotti and other reprobates in there).

Lol, Ja was never gonna be around for long, look at 50, the supposed victor in that battle, isn't dude on the decline? the best lines of the entire battle was spat by Ja. 'You say you mom's a crack head and Kim's a known slut, so what's Hailey gonna be when she grows up' Mehn, Ja killed Em in that battle. I don't care. I am not saying for one minute Ja is a better rapper than Em, hell no. But for that battle, Ja went it.

Peace!

You say that. But what you are doing by adopting that attitude is rather disingenuously attempting to establish a moral equivalence between natural male to female relationship and that which is contrary to nature.
No! I have seen too many unhappy people leading lives that I would not wish on my enemy(ies). I will be honest with you, my uncle was gay, he died at the age of 50. I was a child in Lagos and I knew there was something odd about him but I could not figure it out. I came to England an I figured out what it was about uncle W that was so odd. He was made to get married or face being excommunicated by the family. He had a child (though the paternity of the child is in dispute). He was found hanging three years ago.  It hurts me that someone I was close to took his own life, it hurts me that we are still so blinded by our prejudices, some use the bible or quran but remember those same books were used to justify the enslavement of Africans.

My biggest aim in is to see people the way God intended, it is hard but I try. I do not care if someone is gay or bi, I am bothered about their attitude. After all, there so many ways man judges man.
