The tragedy of this whole thing is that Jonathan is not strong enough to resist the demands of the 'North'. How can they impose their own islamic ways of reasoning on the whole NASS. They want a 'Male Southerner'? And he is going to acquiesce? For what? The good thing out of the whole episode is that everyone will soon answer his father's name as far as political parties are concerned. Ohaneze or is it Ndigbo fooled it self by alligning lock stock & barrel with PDP. When it should have been strenthening APGA as a political force. Now, the only region that gave it full and unequivocal support to GEJ (sans SS) is the one that going to be deprived? It makes me zero political sense to me. I'm sorry, I'm from Lagos and I cannot see how they can justify giving the position once again to the SW. The introduction of religion into the process further devides this country. And the fact that GEJ has accepted it as gospel just ossifies the opinion I have of him as a weakling whose four year in power will be marred by constant PDP in-fighting. |
Only a in naija can a dude like GEJ be a serious presidential contender. If they were calling people for village chief, this guy would not figure in the top 50, and this is the guy that is about to be our president? Should a run off occur I pray Buhari wins, I am not a fan of his either but he has the right zeal and wherewithal to do what needs to be done in Nigeria. As a matter of fact, I hope they debate! GEJ would be shown as the vacuous sycophant he is. As for the SW voting PDP, no matter, the ACN fielded a bullsh!t candidate. |
IFELEKE:Be there, when difficult issues need to be decided, I can assure you that both houses will vote along ethnic/regional lines and I actually like that! |
So, ACN plus LP means a majority for them in both houses. If APGA is smart, it'll align with the Southern parties. I see a natural alliance between CPC and PDP. |
234 reports 'Ngige has won' |
Kai! Only in Naija will you be paid for a job that has not commenced. So, if these universities are not built nko? These people will be chopping money ti ti lai lai? As an aside, there is way too much power concentrated at the centre. Goodness! What is the president doing appointing VCs? Na wa o. Let people open their eyes, this fisherman is NOT the man Nigeria needs! Where is the $22billion that has vanished out of the ECA? Why is he selling the Speaker and Senate Presidents their accommodation that belong to the Nigerian people? This man is weak, he is sniveling and he not fit for purpose. I do not care who he is, Nigeria needs a strong leader with a vision, this cow boy hat wearing mumu from Bayelsa is just not that one. |
Why are these figures so different from those on Sahara? And if the transparency groups are reporting that the election was fair, are we to believe these are the genuine results? I'm finding it rather hard to swallow. |
manuch:You and your 'uncle' who 'works' for INEC are big liars! Go and sit down. |
9ja4eva:This is what you call, wetting before penetration. They want to propagate this rubbish so when they rig it, you'll have 'evidence' that Uduaghuan 'won'. I do not believe it. Cheers. |
9ja4eva:Which credible source? Uduaghuan's wife? Kmt. |
There is justice in the world, A federal appeal court in Benin, Edo state has annulled the election of Delta State governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, and subsequently ordered fresh elections in the state within 90 days. The decision followed the appeal brought by the Great Ogboru against Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, the current governor of the state. The appeal panel earlier dismissed the petition brought by AC candidate, Okocha, where he sought the nullification of Uduaghan's election because of his exclusion from the 2007 election by INEC. The Edo state capital erupted in jubilation over the verdict. The speaker of the house will step in as "Acting governor" pending the next election. The fresh election will also act as the first major test for the newly constituted Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), headed by radical university professor, Mahmud Jega, a former lecturer, vice chancellor at Bayero University in Kano. http://www.saharareporters.com/news-page/breaking-news-court-appeal-nullifies-uduaghans-election-orders-fresh-governorship-election |
Aigbofa:Lol, how can you write 'Okponu' without the 'K'? Do you know the letter 'KP' in Yoruba? |
I wish there was a way I could read the judgement, |
Me too! |
This shyt is very painful to me. I cried like I knew him. Dude was snatched when he was about the take over for real! |
As much as it pains me to admit it, I do think that Lucky Jo needs media training and some pronunciation lessons, he does not have to speak with an American/British accent but he is an educated man, he ought to at least pronounce the words right . His mien was unconvincing, and his posture left a lot to be desired. I did appreciate his honesty, vis-a-vis seeing the president. I enjoyed the interview and I hope he grants one to the Nigerian media soon. |
Whether we like it or not, Dora is a politician, a good one at that. She has a good feel for which way the wind is blowing. When UMYA was well, she was front and centre in deceiving the nation, as per her job description. When UMYA did abracadabra to the KSA, she was front and centre in lying to the people, as per what she quite obviously thought was what she had to do. When she listened and heard the loud grumblings of Nigerian people, she fiam fiam changed her allegiance. The woman is smart, I give her that and you gotta be to survive in the putrid waters of Nigerian politics. I am not particularly enamoured with the woman but I do not doubt her zeal and her propensity for self promotion, if she had been assigned to a post where her progress could be tangibly measured, I am of no doubt that she would succeed but as is, she is the Info Minister and I've no problems with that. |
It may be me. |
Kai, you people are wicked. LMAO! |
Lol, see what you people have turned a whole president into? |
afam4eva: afam4eva:Afam, you're still obsessing over me? Kai, dis one na strong ting o, |
Lol, Igbo people and their constant Identity wars. Abegi, let the Ikwerre people be the deciders, it is not by force. I don't see the Yorubas forcing the Itsekiris to call themselves Yoruba. Abeg, I am member of a sub group and I retain the right to identify myself how I please. |
doyin13:Dude, I think you're on your on own with this argument. Whilst I agree with your point about federalism, as it is now, the fact that Silva is an ND mad does not justify the rate at which he is pilfering the accounts of his own state. To respond to this allegation with 'oh it their money' is bordering on crazy. |
agabaI23: 9ijaprince:Abeg, provide some evidence for these very serious claims, orin1981:Brother, please chop knuckle, |
doyin13:Would it not be great if it was the actual 'Niger Deltans' that were wasting the money, Four guys do not a whole region make. 99% of Niger Deltans still live way below the poverty line. The perpetrator might be familiar but the crime has the same debilitating effect. |
ndu_chucks:Let us hear word, abeg. |
ALMUSTAQIM:Come, are you one of those jobless Northern youth paid to carry placard on behalf our incapacitated president? Well, tell those who sent you that once Mr. UMYA starts respecting the citizens who had accepted him as their president, despite the fact that he stole their mandate, we will surely respect him in return. |
Lol, only in Nigeria will illegality be rewarded. I laugh in Igbo. |
doyin13:This move by Lucky Jo has convinced me that is an inherent weakling, dude has the unanimous support of the country and he is not even ballsy enough to do the right thing. To think I dared to be happy when those wack ministers were dismissed, oh well. Same old bullshyt, round and round. I hope this gives the impetus to those who were thinking Lucky Jo was some kinda second coming, to march and demand what's right! Lucky Jo is nothing but a fisherman who stumbled on gold and threw it back in the lake. Mumu oshi! |
doyin13:Gbam! A position where the results will be tangible and almost without dispute is best for Ms. Dora. |
Funnily I do not want Dora. How can we appoint a card carrying member of a party to such a position? Besides Dora has too much gra gra, there needs to be a kinda subtlety to executing the position well. I like her but I do not think she'd be appropriate. |
Acting President Goodluck Jonathan has sent the list of the first batch of ministers to the Nigerian senate today. The list includes names of 7 former ministers, a new economic czar, Olusegun Aganga, a managing director at Goldman Sachs in London and 16 others.http://www.saharareporters.com/news/5609--olusegun-aganga-of-goldman-sachs-7-former-ministers-and-16-others-makes-first-batch-of-ministers.html |
