The sensible thing to do is for Nigerians to stop being so damned passive. Even if the country is split into its so called component parts, the same idiots will still be ruling. Nigerians need to wake up, fight for their rights. The Northern cabal is determined to keep hold of power at all cost. What the so called Niger Delta freedom fighters doing about it? The wool is being pulled over our eyes and the so called intelligentsia sit on tv exchanging grammar, the ND boys make noise and nothing gets done. All the while we are being ruled by the Hausa mafia i.e. Babangida et al. This is the best time for the south, Igbo, Yoruba and Ijaw, the largest ethnic groups, to make a stand. Believe me, they will carry along the masses. I am ready! |
I will support a good Igboman for presidency, let the candidates step forward and we'll see. Ndigbo really needs to flex its muscles this time. Let's break this Northern monopoly once and for all. |
Y.M.E:Lol see people o! So if the name na kindergarten name, you no go enter am? Shey na the name we go chop abi na the service we need? |
This thread is ridiculous, I could not give a damn if the entire team is Igbo, I just need these players to rep the green and white in a deserving manner. I do not want to be embarrassed that is all. One Nigeria, okay? |
Fashola does not need to serve a second time as Governor. He is ripe for the job of president! Obama was only two years in the senate before he ran for POTUS. There is no other candidate that has got a track record like BRF. I will vote for him should he grow the balls to run! |
They cannot call GoodLuck an 'Acting President' he will be the president, no acting about it. All you people on NL wey dey waste time exchanging grammar with each other, now is the time for you all to wake up, your vigilance is needed now like never before. The time to break the Northern stranglehold on power has just arrived and the Arewa council is shaking. They think they can control GJ? Well, they forget that who holds the reins holds the power. INEC will have to do GJ's bidding, Y'aradua, very well be the last Hausa president we have, |
Lol, I watched this movie, it was a big pile of crap. Mama claim say she born pickin at 19, she dey do 35th birthday and pickin is also 19. Guy wey dey date daughter come marry mama, in his course of dealing with de mama or de daughter, he never knew either was related. Film just pack full of grammer blowing! One ting I like sha, the wardrobe department did their job well, also the locations were well chosen. |
Abagworo:I agree with you that it is cool to sing in other languages but come on dawg, 'Kini' is Yoruba and 'Gini' is Igbo, the song in titled 'Kini Big Deal' Does that make it clearer for you? As for Duro, I did not know that is a word that is shared but in any case, Naeto does also rep his Igbo culture well, I have his last album. I think dude might just be a Gidi boy because he reps the city hard! |
And some people believe a virgin gave birth, what is your point? |
He reps Gidi, what do you expect? Anyway, one Naija, no shaking. The song is pure FIYAAH! |
Lol, some people think that that bloody TB Joshua is actually God. He just talks out of his arse man. I pray to the almighty to reward our efforts on the pitch tonight. |
Wtf does this have to do with that TB Joshua, this about the guys and an improbable victory in the face of almost impossible odds. Joshua TB has absolutely nothing to do with it, so leave him out of it. |
chidexy:Person no fit satisfy Naija people, instead of una to dey jolly say we dey go world cup, una dey vex on behalf of Tunisia, what rubbish! |
Someone jist me na, shey Lagos dey bubble now? I can imagine say party dey pop off, left right and centre. up Naija!!! |
No2Atheism:See Naija people done come again o! Instead make you dey jolly you dey pity the goat wey dem take make isi ewu, rubbish! Up Naija! |
I am very happy about this. Make dem taste their own broth, I cannot stand South Africans, black or white, they have this superiority complex that bother the hell out of me. |
@Sauron, you like Jadakiss? Wow, so you're not just a fan of horror rap then? Lol. Jada is that dude, I love his freestyle sessions, he is in my top five, along with budden. Dude is Fiyaaah! |
@Bamstyle, where have you been since, I have been tryna kick knowledge to these Eminem stans on my own. Imagine the cheek of Sauron, posting that nonsense that Em spat and comparing it to BT, sure BT's delivery was not as pretty as Em but dude made sense, he was rapping like a grown up. Em subject matter never grew up, cypher or no cypher. |
I really think this state of origin bull shyt shows that Naija is not really one nation. In Naija, someone born in Lagos will be asked all kinds of foolish question if they want to go to uni there, it's just not right. In short, all questions of state of origin ought to be made illegal! |
1longtin, shey dat ting na orginal or kpanda? God help the woman who fit lie down and take it! Tufiakwa! |
Sauron, how can you want that line explained? Are you serious, that is simple but powerful, you know who Martin Luther was right? You also know who Rodney king is? You know they have the same last name yet they had such disparate impact on the black community, come on think fella! I am starting to think you jock Eminem so much because dude is white, |
babapupa:The videos, I want to know what real Lagosians think, as opposed to members of the cabinet. I watch a lot of the EoL videos and they never really present any opposing view. Everyone seems to forever sing the praises of the Governor. I do enjoy the vids though, they bring me little glimpses of home that I would not see otherwise. |
babapupa:How did you relate my comment to carbon and oxygen? |
This is nice but it is propaganda, I am always wary when an individual is being as exalted as Fashola is, it leave me feeling rather suspicious, maybe I just a cynic! |
omar22:Lol, really? |
asha 80:We must not sweep the facts as they happened under the carpet, for this reason, they must try to be balanced in their presentation of such facts. How many many Nigerians have read the book? The film, if it is made, will be seen by millions of Nigerians, and I implore Hollywood not to play with the lives of Nigerians by trying to demonize one ethnic group. i hope the movie will force a conversation though, so I am looking forward it. |
Aloy~Emeka:I really wonder about your comprehension of the English language sometimes. You see how the book 'half of a yellow sun' was told from the Igbo point of view? Is the film going to be like that? I feel if is it, it might stoke some ethnic tensions. Nigeria as a nation has not matured enough for us to be able to talk about these things without trouble brewing, dig? |
Is the story going to be told from the Igbo point of view? I think that would not be a good Idea, it should be told from multiple views so that no one looks like a victim. The topic is still quite raw, so they better be careful! |
~Sauron~:Flo-Rida? Soulja Boy? I am in my early twenties, would I phuck with this garbage? I am a proper HH head. I do agree that Em Is peerless in terms of flow but lyrically, he leaves me cold. I cannot empathise, some of the things he talks about disgusts me, that is it. So, his substance is not something I can imagine listening to in a couple of years, dude raps about his father raping him, Lol. Anyways, it's been good talking about this. |
~Sauron~:This show you why you and I do not listen to Hip hop the same way. Let's just dead this, right now. You think an MC can dibble dabble on the record, I look for substance as well as a good flow. Peace! Impressive. You're impressed cos I am a chick? So, that thing between your legs gives you automatically more knowledge about rap, hmmn! (Ok, I am just joking, well a little) |
Genuflect:How patronising, wow! |
My street in London has about 7 churches of different denomination, all within 20 minutes distance from my house, some closer. I have never heard them, not once. So why should poor Lagosians have to suffer this abuse because some people think God does not understand quiet prayer. I am glad Fashola is doing this. Now, he needs to start closing some mosques, and some babalawos (but I don't think they much noise) |
