Smh. This is nothing new. These people wey don topple many foreign governments and plotted the assassination of foreign leaders. So much for a so-called advanced country. CIA and KGB own go worse pass.

Advocate500:I agree totally with your position. The executive arm (both federal and state) is too powerful, leaving room for abuse of power as we are seeing in this particular instance, amongst others. Our so-called democracy is a big joke. |
AkeNathan:Maybe his acceptance is cowardly, but he alone knows why he has chosen to accept. I suspect he's playing a tactical game with Ganduje. He may outlast him if he's tactical enough (Ganduje will not be governor forever, but if Sanusi plays his cards right, he may succeed in remaining on the throne till he draws his last breathe). Sometimes this sort of cowardice can be benefitial in the long run. Sanusi has always wanted to be Emir, and right now he's probably not willing to allow a Ganduje deprive him of his lifetime ambition. |
Sanusi should just resign before Ganduje messes him up any further. |
hisexcellency34:Buhari is not on anybody's side when it comes to this sort of instances. If he could allow Amosun, Ambode, Amaechi, and even Rochas Okorocha, to be subjected to local political intrigues, any governor counting on him saving his behind is sitting on a long thing. He has always demonstrated an aloof disposition towards local politics so Obaseki better have a plan-B (which should logically be defection to the PDP), else he's just wasting his time if he is counting on Buhari of all people to save his behind. What would be Buhari's stake in Edo politics that would make him stick his neck out for Obaseki? Obaseki just rejected the second high-profiled/levelled APC NWC reconciliation committee setup by the party to try to settle the problems plaguing edo APC - - he keeps using the excuse that those that constitute the committees are pro-Oshiomhole people as reason for rejecting them. With such consistent intransigence, he is showing that he's not open to compromise/reconciliation. But whether he likes it or not, Oshiomhole is still the chairman of the party and that may not change anytime soon. He should at least allow the reconciliation committees to do their job and see the outcome of their efforts before rejecting them outrightly. That is why I said if he continues like this then he should start planning to port to PDP. I am sure they won't hesitate to give him their ticket considering that he is an incumbent. |
I have observed it too, but I think it's the lazy video editors and cinematographers that are to blame for those repetitive shots of the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge. Instead of taking out the time to capture drone shots of other popular landmarks in Lagos, they would rather keep recycling the same shots over and over. Also, the movie budgets these days are getting smaller and smaller so these filmmakers are always looking for cheaper routes to produce their movies. That explains why it has almost become a norm for them to shoot like 3 movies back-to-back with the same set of cast/actors, at the same location (usually Amen Estate Ibeju Lekki, the one with the red bricks, where the likes of Ruth Kadiri and Funke Akindele reside), but with a different movie title. The fact that more and more people are beginning to notice such nonsense repetitions shows that they're losing it. |
vertueptime:You forgot to add filters. He over-filters his pictures and videos to look the way he does. |
Yet they are harassing Nigerian traders. Smh. |
Auxtin85:Lol. Nah, I'm not that old. Was close to my teens in '87. We had a popular song we coined in Osondu' s honour at the time. |
Wow. I was privileged to watch his exploits during the World U-16 tournament in '87. R.I.P. baller. |
Esseite:This is my post of the year 2019 bro. You said it all. |
TonyeBarcanista:Obaseki is beginning to show signs of desperation and that is not good. Ordinarily he has the upper hand as a sitting governor but his recent actions are showing that he is becoming desperate. If he intends to decamp this is the best time to do so, before he loses on both ends. |
mezarddinny:That is because in Africa, citizens feel better about themselves when they blame all their failures and problems in life on bad leadership. |
pocohantas:She acts mainly in Yoruba movies. She's not a bad actress actually, just that she overacts at times. |
Africans still believe such crap? Why dem no use that 'charms' on the people holding back this country? Na only innocent people una juju dey work on. Nonsense. ![]() |
Church business is so good these days that even preachers wish they don't ever have to die and go to 'heaven'. But really, why would any right thinking preacher want to die and go to an imaginary heaven (one he probably doesn't really believe exists, deep inside) when he's balling as hard as the unbelieving billionaires right here on earth?

OBJ tried initiating what the OP is suggesting during his tenure when he ordered the banks to move their HQ to the FCT. The idea was to turn ABJ into not just the administrative centre of Nigeria but also its commercial centre. The bank heads obliged, but later found out that you can't artificially 'force' this sort of developments so they just had to relocate BACK to Lagos. Lagos remains the commercial capital simply because it enjoys some strategic advantages that can't just be created by fiat or government action. It's just that simple. |
R. I. P to the dead. Nnamdi must be feeling really bereaved. |
This is an old picture Op. |
Wow. This is a serious escalation. |
I am happy they're happy. Happy married life to the couple. |
Lakowe lakes estate is indeed a paradise on earth.
|
R. I. P to him. But wait a minute, what is it with Nollywood people (especially the male actors) and kidney problems??
|
Very good. All those noise pollutants need to be taught a serious lesson. The rubbish is becoming too much. Kudos to LASEPA. Op, thanks for the update.

Damn! Things dey happen.

Audio price. If na true, the Sunday man will just sell the watch Las Las because I am sure the money can do a lot more as raw cash than as a watch. ![]() |
Dafido needs to take it easy. He should learn to handle his fame with utmost care. A word is enough. |
babyfaceafrica:As in. |
That Okene result looks doctored. Very outrageous. |
sEGXY2:Yahaya Bello is just too unpopular. Only an igala APC candidate could have saved the party in this election. The igalas are enough to stop Bello's ambition and based on results so far it looks like they've done just that. |
The way I see it, it would take a miracle for Yahaya Bello to win reelection. Forget his rigging attempts. |
What money can do. |
