By Enyim Enyim ONITSHA—ANAMBRA

State House of Assembly has raised alarm over alleged renewed attack on the people of Eziaguluotu, Aguleri and Enuguotu by suspected Kogi armed men that claimed the lives of about 17 men and women.

This followed a motion of urgent public importance moved on the floor of the House by the lawmaker representing Anambra East Contituency, Hon. Obinna Emenaka.

He said there had been a boundary dispute between Kogi and Anambra States on that axis for which the Kogi people who were supposed to participate in the identification of the boundary refused to turn up.

Emenaka appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari, the governors of Kogi and Anambra States, Yahaya Bello and Chief Willie Obiano respectively, to as a matter of urgency wade into the matter before it escalates.

“I call on the National Boundary Adjustment Committee to come and identify the boundary between the two states to put a stop to the killings and maiming of our people”.

Also speaking, the member representing Onitsha North I Constituency, Mr. Chugbo Enwezor while condemning the dastardly act, called on government at all levels and security agencies to rise up to the challenge of protecting not only the people of the area but the country in general.

The majority leader of the House, Mr. Victor Okoye representing Anambra West Constituency equally condemned the killings and appealed to President Buhari to deploy soldiers to the area to forestall peace.

Dis matter just dey pain you anyhow, o! shocked Take am easy, ehn, make you no kill yahself on top Remi Tinubu matter. Now, after you have finished ranting and raving, please answer my questions. They are very simple. Attach the relevant links to your responses. If you need help to get the relevant info, you can either phone a friend, or ask the audience. undecided

1). What achievements exactly has Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment recorded, with regard to the environment? What impact has she made? huh

2). As Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity. What did she achieve, in that role? sad
See this Shaki wey think say e be Beef and feeling funky with himself. I put it to you that you are a hypocrite and a big one at that. Go and tell her constituents that she hasn't made apperciable contribution as committee chairperson at the senate since they sent her to the senate to chair those committees, and when you are done explain to them how her presence on the committees have affected their lives at Lagos Central senatorial district. She was sent to the senate to represent the interests of her constituency, not to oversee committees (which are political appointments at the prerogative of the senate leadership). And also tell her constituents not to reelect her because in your judgement she hasn't achieved anything in those committees.
PoliticsRe: Time To Kick Out Senator Remi Tinubu by afroniger:
LaudableXX:
What hypocrisy? shocked Everyone can see that the hypocrisy you mentioned, is actually reeking from your own keyboard. I asked a simple question about Senator Oluremi Tinubu, in my previous post. Instead of providing a cogent reasonable response, you decided to embark on a whirlwind of wild accusations and unfounded allegations, laced with insults. undecided

When your allegations were rebuffed, you came back with a long list of links showing various donations she had made to her constituency, and trying to wave it around, as a proof of her impact. Then you went further to blame the rest of us who raised questions about her performance in the Senate, for not doing enough to sift information from the media, in order to highlight her output. Wait first, is that my job? huh

As if that is not enough, you are now making another round of baseless accusations that I am eyeing her seat. Which seat? shocked Did anyone tell you that I am a politician? huh The way you are ranting and raving over this issue, shows that Remi Tinubu has you firmly on her payroll. If you were merely a member of her constituency, or an objective bystander, or a mere resident of Lagos state, you would not have been raising fire and brimstone over the questions raised about Remi Tinubu's performance. sad

Now, go back to my initial post. You have only provided links showing donations she made to members of her constituency. When are you going to provide info on what achievements exactly Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment has recorded, with regard to the environment? What impact has she made?

She was also Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity. What did she achieve, in that role?

If you like, toss out more insults. Nobody cares. Being an effective Senator goes beyond donating money to members of your constituency. undecided
Abeg shove it jor and save your long speech for someone who gives a flip. I don't know what you are feeling like or who you even think you are self. I already made you look stuupid based on your own inconsistent ramblings. First you don't know her from nowhere, then she hasn't done anything for nobody, then you're asking me why I didn't put forward the links of some of her empowerment schemes to constituents and successful bill she marshalled in the senate much earlier. And to crown it all, I am supposedly on her payroll just because I exposed your hypocrisy, ehn no problem, on whose payroll are you? If I must be on her payroll for busting your hypocrisy, then you must also be on somebody's payroll for trying so freaking hard to defame her. So on whose payroll are you?
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Wrong To Marry (early) Just To Have Sex by afroniger:
Thoniameek:
The desire for sex is an insatiable force. In 1 Corinthians 7:9, Paul says. “But if they cannot control themselves, Let them marry. For is better to marry than to burn with passion.” Clearly he supports that sexual desire alone can be the deciding factor to marry.

I can’t masturbate (I don’t want to). My hormones are raging. I’m interested in marriage but I think the only reason I might be interested in any guy now is for the sex. I’m in my mid-twenties and never had sexual intercourse.

I’m afraid I might be marrying because I simply can’t abstain any longer. And is it ok to do so?

OAM4J
I understand your situation but in my opinion, life itself is a risk; that is why you live everyday like it could be your last. Marriage is also a risk; whether you choose to marry earlier or later in life. There's no guarantee that if you are overly selective, that the marriage would be successful because much of that depends on the conduct of the individuals involved; and bear in mind also that people can change, either for better or for worse even in marriage, therefore you should just take life as it comes because nothing is guaranteed except maybe death (at some point). Marriage is just another phase that many of us will pass through at least once in a lifetime (some not at all, while others more than once even).

I respect your demonstration of rare courage up to this point by abstaining apparently for so long. If you believe that sex is only meant to be enjoyed in marriage, and your hormones are raging, and you feel you are mature enough to take the plunge, AND you have a willing partner that loves and cares for you enough to marry you, then go for it and see how it goes, bearing in mind that it is just another major risk into another phase in your adult life journey.

You see, I personally don't believe in the idea that there's only one particular guy or girl that can end up being your 'life partner', no I don't. There is a pool of options out there if only one is willing and unafraid to explore. While marriage is ideally meant to be for better for worse, in reality death comes along, even divorce (nobody prays for these but they happen), but life remains the constant because it will go on regardless. People move on, remarry and find another 'the one' and 'life partner'.

In essence, what I am trying to say is, just learn to trust your instincts and be not afraid to take risks, even if your decision doesn't come out right in the end. See it all as a part of the growing, learning, and living process. undecided

Stop this Laudate business. I know you can read. And you know quite well how my moniker is spelt. sad So, if you had all these links earlier, why were you beating around the bush and making wild unfounded allegations, earlier? shocked

As for the various sums of money she is alleged to have donated, well one can truly hope those figures are true. sad I have learnt to take anything that politicians say with a pinch of salt, as most of them thrive on half truths and downright falsehood.

Dino Melaye another senator from the north Central, once claimed that he donated 7 million naira worth of relief materials to a community in Kogi state. It was later discovered that the relief materials were actually provided by National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and the amount spent never came from Melaye's pocket.

It is good to see that you are earning your pay, given to you by your paymasters. Keep the links and articles coming. undecided Keep it up and clap for yourself!
You are such a hypocrite. And who are your own paymasters? Those opposing her and eyeing her sit I guess undecided , since you claim I am on her payroll for exposing your hypocrisy. What are you rambling about? Shehu Sani said the running cost of Senators is N13-million naira each per-month. Even he didn't deny collecting his bit. So far no single senator has come out to deny collecting the said money and here you are talking about receipt and expenses. O fi sobia sile, o'n wo lapalapa. Instead of attacking the system that permits such running costs you are here attacking a particular senator for defending how she spent her own share of the money. Your hypocrisy stinks like feces.

I do not have any personal dislike for the woman. sad I know nothing about her, beyond what I have read in the press. So is it a crime to say she has not performed, when evidence of her performance is not available for scrutiny?

And what law says I must compare her performance, to those of other senators from Lagos? undecided Is it supposed to be a comparative analysis exercise? Is there any rule that says you cannot assess an individual's performance solely on its' own, but you must compare it with another person's action or inaction? That kind of reasoning is shallow, Oga.

I have not attacked her in any way, in my previous post. All I did was to raise questions, about her performance. If you have any answers to those questions, then provide it instead of making wild allegations. There was no mention of her husband Bola Tinubu in my post, so where you got your unfounded claims that my comments were to "attack Tinubu by proxy," or that her "major crime is that she is affiliated to Bola Tinubu," really beggars belief. shocked Must you ascribe things that do not exist, to my remarks? huh Must you clutch at straws of illogicality, because you want to make an unreasonable point?

As a duly registered voter in Lagos State of Nigeria, I have a right to ask questions about the performance of any elected official. Until you can point out any section of the constitution that deprives me of this right, or the law that shields Oluremi Tinubu from such scrutiny, I must request that you get off my mentions, and take your half-baked wild allegations with you. If my comments offend you so much, please feel free to hug the nearest transformer. Tell your paymasters, that you were unable to concoct enough tales, to defend them successfully online. Next!
Laudate you are smarter than this so I am not buying this your retort, plus you didn't have to be rude. I have as much right to support her or any other person just as you have the right to oppose them. I will keep pointing out the hypocrisy of the likes of you and the Op. You admitted to 'knowing nothing about the woman', yet you were brazen when you said 'she has not rendered anything to anybody'. In the same breathe you are aware that she atleast raised some bills that were not successful in the Senate. If you could dig-up such information about her activities at the senate, you could have spared the same effort in finding out about her activities at her Lagos Central Senatorial district? Her records are there for anyone who is willing to find them. Anyway, I seriously doubt that her constituents will agree with you guys because ultimately they will be the ones to decide her political fate and not armchair e-critics.

The OP is right. Like me too, we thought she was one of the saints in the National Assembly.
So let me get this straight. So because she was bold enough to explain how she at least spends her share of that money, that makes her worse than the others that chose to keep quiet?? When will you hold the others accountable for their share? Remember this is money they have been collecting all along and will continue collecting. Even the Shehu sanni that made the revelation still collects his. Meaning she would have been spared all this hypocritical drivel against her had she just kept quiet like the rest and continued 'eating', that way your feathers won't be ruffled? shocked shocked Nigerians and hypocrisy.
PoliticsRe: Time To Kick Out Senator Remi Tinubu by afroniger: 7:27am On Mar 19, 2018
LaudableXX:
Wait, forget about where she hails from. I am not interested in that. Remi Tinubu has NOT rendered anything to anybody. First of all, which senatorial zone does she even represent in Lagos state? Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment did not raise any new bills to protect the environment, and did not make any impact with respect to issues affecting the environment. So how does one assess her performance?

Forget about the fact that she is a woman. So is she supposed to be pampered in the Senate, because she is a woman? What really has she contributed to her senatorial zone, and to the Senate? huh Well, apart from fighting with Dino Melaye? On her website, she says : "To date, she has sponsored three bills: to provide Social Security for Elderly Citizens; seek the Amendment of the Labour Act, to enhance employment opportunities for women, and; a Bill to provide Special Economic Assistance to Lagos State in view of its status as a former capital city and the commercial capital of Nigeria." My question now is this - how many of those bills were passed into law at the end of the day? None.
You and the Op are doing a very poor job at justifying your personal dislike for this woman because out of all the lawmakers representing Lagos you just had to pick on Oluremi Tinubu. And i think most forumers can see through this. When will you guys beam your searchlights on the activities and performances of the other Lagos representatives so that people can objectively appraise her compared to the others representing the state? First the Op accused her of not being an indigene, as if she's the only non-indigene representing Lagos, then you said she raised bills that failed to pass, as if it is her fault that she didn't succeed in getting the bills she raised to pass. What about the ones repping the state without even a raising a single bill?? At least she was bold enough to defend how she spends her share of the perks in question, while her peers are too timid to even acknowlege that they receive such amounts let alone justify their spending. How is that a crime? Just come out and admit that this woman's major crime is that she is affiliated to Bola Tinubu and drop this silliness. The Op is just a shameless coward who prefers to attack Tinubu by proxy. If he is serious about his crusade he should attack the system that pays the lawmakers such high perks rather than selectively attack a particular lawmaker as a pretext.
PoliticsRe: Time To Kick Out Senator Remi Tinubu by afroniger: 1:43pm On Mar 18, 2018
This Op self. You must be a very petty fellow. So your grouse with Remi Tinubu is simply that she 'defended' her pay? While her peers are spared of your anger for showing 'sensitivity' by keeping mum while still chopping their own money in silence? cheesy You didn't even pretend to try to emphasize her performance with respect to the impression and impact she has made on her primary constituency (Lagos Central Senatorial district). Or perhaps it is the fact that she's not an indigene of the state that is really annoying you (FYI, there are 3 Igbos and 1 Urhobo also representing the state both at local and federal levels). Or maybe it is just that you don't like that she is a woman or you dislike her husband? Well, anyway it is a free world and you are entitled to your one-man-army crusade but I seriously doubt that you have what it takes to deny her of a return ticket to the upper chamber. But goodluck all the same. undecided
