Tinubu should not have accepted Buhari's offer to reconcile the warring factions in the party because it is already too late. How can Buhari give Tinubu an assignment without giving the authority and powers to execute it? It is not by just announcing in the media. Oyegun was obviously not happy about what Buhari did so he was bound to sabotage Tinubu. Therefore the assignment was bound to fail. It is almost as if Buhari set a trap for Tinubu. I foresee APC losing some states in the upcoming election. |

https://tribune.com.pk/story/1642597/4-snapchat-loses-1-billion-kylie-jenners-tweet/By AFP Published: February 23, 2018
Snapchat’s parent company lost around $1.3 billion in market value on Thursday after reality star Kylie Jenner’s tweeted that she was no longer using the messaging service.
“sooo does anyone else not open Snapchat anymore? Or is it just me… ugh this is so sad,” Jenner tweeted.
She later followed up with “still love you tho snap … my first love,” but the damage may already have been done.
Snapchat is a picture messaging app where users can send photos to each other to view for a limited amount of time. The app was found by Evan Spiegel in 2011 while he was studying at Stanford University. It was up on the New York stock market in March 2017 and its shares soared.
Snap’s shares fell by over six per cent on Thursday trading, a loss of about $1.3 billion in market capitalisation. The firm has had a loss of $348 million in the last three months. According to The Daily Mail, Snapchat never made a profit, however, it just recently received a $636 million pay deal.
Jenner has huge followings on various social media platforms, including Twitter and Instagram. She gave birth to a daughter this month and her Instagram post announcing the pregnancy quickly became one of the most liked posts of all time on the social media platform. Lalasticlala Mynd44

I don't understand why Ladoja faction is being greedy. His faction got 14 slots while Makinde faction was given 12. Was he expecting to get all the slots? Sounds to me like he is being shortsighted. |
Politics › Oyo 2019: Ladoja, Lanlehin, Adeseun, Others To Pull Out Of PDP Today by afroniger(op): 6:03pm On Feb 22, 2018 |
http://dailypost.ng/2018/02/22/oyo-2019-ladoja-lanlehin-adeseun-others-pull-pdp-today/https://dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/Ladoja.jpg
There are indications that former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja, former vice chairman, Senate Committee on Poverty Alleviation, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin, former chairman, Senate committee on Banking and Financial institutions, Senator Ayoade Adeseun and other stalwarts of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, have concluded plans to dump the party today – Thursday.
DAILY POST gathered that the crisis in the Oyo State chapter of PDP took a new dimension on Wednesday when news of the harmonised list of the state executive of the party filtered in.
It was gathered that the harmonised list of the SEC of the party, which was released by the national leadership of the party on Tuesday, was said to have jolted Ladoja’s faction.
The faction reportedly conceded some slots to the faction headed by the 2015 Social Democratic Party, SDP, governorship candidate, Engineer Seyi Makinde against Ladoja’s faction’s expectation.
While the list ceded 14 slots to Ladoja’s faction, 12 went to Makinde’s faction. The positions of the State Chairman, Women Leader, Publicity Secretary, Legal Adviser, Vice Chairmen I and II went to Ladoja; the positions of State Secretary and many other assistantship positions went to Makinde faction.
DAILY POST recalls that the two factions had organised parallel congresses at two separate locations late last year when they could not agree on a sharing formula. While the Ladoja faction which produced Alhaji Kunmi Mustspa as the chairman held its Congress in Watershed group, old Ife-Ibadan Road, another faction loyal to Makinde which produced Chief Jacob Adetoro held its own at Baptist secondary school located at Oke-Ado area.
The national leadership of the party pushed by the factionaization, it was gathered, took the decision to harmonize the two factions in order to ensure that all party members have a sense of belonging.
DAILY POST gathered on Thursday morning that Ladoja will today after a meeting which will be held this morning in his Ladoja’s Ondo Street Ibadan residence announce the next step and the political party they would be defecting to.
However, efforts made by DAILY POST to get official confirmation from the concerned party stalwarts proved abortive.
But a source close to Ladoja, who confided in our correspondent in a short conversation on Thursday morning, said “Yes, they are yet to announce. But there is a meeting this morning, that is when they will announce. The meeting is taking place at Senator Ladoja’s house this morning. It is closed door meeting”.
Another source close to the leadership noted that the decision to pull out of the arrangement was due to what the aggrieved leaders termed injustice on their part.
He noted that the former governor alongside his lieutenants, among whom were Lanlehin and Adeseun, are expected to announce their faction’s defection after the meeting.
The source added that they decided to leave the party for Makinde and his followers among whom were former House of Representatives’ leader, Hon. Mulikat Adeola-Akande, Senator Hosea Agboola, Alhaji Hazeem Gbolarumi among others for them to have a formidable platform to tackle the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state. deomelllo: People make comments like yours when they don't know anything about Lagos or what Lagos is capable of achieving with available resources and capacity.
There is a problem when Lagos under your predecessor with half the funds that you have was better and moving forward than under you with x2 more money than your predecessor.
Under his predecessor, Lagos was cleaner and his predecessor at the same point ambode is in right now built many schools, hospitals, waterworks, skills centers, jetties, roads, bridges including Lekki Ikoyi bridge (Still the best in Nigeria), housing estates, Lagos Metro and 10 lane badagry expressway, power plants, markets, new courts, and government institutions and so on, but what are we getting under ambode?
Just minuscule here and there projects.
No major or futuristic projects, nothing groundbreaking or something to look forward to.
...but what is ambode doing with N833 billion, the largest in the history on Nigeria? Dirty, stinking Lagos and backward Lagos is what we are getting.
What you don't get about my obsession with Lagos and Ambode is the fact that I'm a Lagosian and I know where my state was before ambode and where it is right now. Flyover here and there doesn't bother me because I know what the men before him delivered.
Btw, funds for the police cars and LASEMA tools came from the Security trust fund Fashola created and Fashola himself put all that in place before ambde assumed office.
Fashola built that institution from scratch. I still think your criticism of his administration has political overtones. Ambode's focus can't be the same as Fashola's focus. Fashola did his 8 years. Ambode is not even done with his first term and you are already belittling his accomplishments as if he has done 8 years like his predecessors. |

deomelllo: The man is useless and he's nothing but a total waste of time and space in Alahusa.
Even though the useless ambode is sitting on the Largest state budget in the history of Nigeria N830 billion (Twice what Lagosians gave Fashola), Lagos is massively dirty, nothing is working and there's almost no project apart from 1 flyover, painting streets here and there and decorating motor park.
His predecessors from Jakande to Tinubu and Fashola moved Lagos state forward, but Lagos is moving backward instead forward under ambode
Kai. This your blind hatred for Ambode is clearly affecting your thinking and you are now even misrepresenting his accomplishment. I am sure even Fashola that you claim to be fighting for does not hate the man this much. You keep saying he has only built one flyover, which is an indication that you are either ignorant or just a shameless bitter liar. Everybody knows that Ambode has built two flyovers so far, one in Abule Egba, another one in Ajah, and a third is already being built at Agege and will be completed by the end of this year. He has also eased traffic in the Lekki-Ajah axis by taking off those needless roundabouts. He equipped Lasema/LRU emergency response to be the envy of all. Under him the state police have better vehicles that befit a mega city and better equipment. We can all see what he is doing in Oshodi as well, including the terminals he's building all over the state. These are just a few of the infrastructural projects he has executed even before rounding up his first term. Ambode cannot repeat exactly the same things that Fashola did. He has his own style and focus, so i dont get this your obsession with the man. He's not perfect, and neither was Fashola. Stop behaving like a bitter woman who just hates for the sake of it. |

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/02/not-intend-deny-president-buhari-right-vote-voted-ibb/FEBRUARY 4, 2018
Abuja – Former military ruler, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida, has said that he does not have any intention to deny President Buhari his right to vote and be voted for. Babangida said this while denying reports that he had called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to re-contest in 2019. Former heads of state, Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Muhammadu Buhari Babangida described the report as “the personal views of the writer”.
Babangida said that “as former President and Statesman, I have unfettered channel of communication with the highest authorities without sensational public correspondence”. “I am a realist that believes in all issues in a democratic atmosphere are sincerely discussed and resolved in the spirit of give and take.
“I always have one clear objective that freedom can only be achieved through democracy. “Some people find this freedom as an avenue for eroding democracy by antics of hate speeches under the guise of religion, tribal or self imposed mentorship. “This trend of pitching political class and the people is unhealthy and skewed.” He added that the current challenges facing the country would be solved through constructive engagements by politicians rather than overheating the polity.
“Recent happenings and utterances by political gladiators is alarming and not in the interest of common man that is already overstretched and apparently living from hand to mouth due to precarious economic conditions.” According to Babangida, the clamour for re-alignment of governance in the country is a welcome development only if the agitations are channeled through legislation and total supremacy of the constitution. He said that any attempt outside this circle of democratic tenants was deceptive and capable of plunging Nigeria’s political journey into disarray. “It is high time that we dialogue more on any issue in order to have a political solution on any problem affecting us. “It is sad that, Nigeria had its fair share of conflicts, and we cannot continue to fall back to those dark years of bloodshed.
“As a people, now is the time to come together to address all communal conflicts and criminality under any guise to further unite the country in line with the vision of our founding fathers so that as a nation, we can forge ahead in the task of building a more prosperous nation.”
An online medium has quoted a statement by one Mr Kassim Afegbua as saying that Babangida had “called on Nigerians to cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari to complete his tenure and collectively work towards preparing the way for new generation leadership to assume the mantle of leadership of the country.
“While saying this also, I do not intend to deny President Buhari his right to vote and be voted for, but there comes a time in the life of a nation when personal ambition should not override national interest”.(NAN) Mynd44, Lalasticlala |

Akogun lere oyewumi is still the best governorship candidate for the 2018 governorship poll. he delivered his Constituency for pdp in the last senatorial bye election. Akogun lere oyewumi is a vibrant and grassroots politician that have good record. Why are you deceiving yourself? The lere oyewumi guy doesn't stand a chance because everyone knows that Omisore will not abide by any osun west arrangement, and will likely manipulate his way to getting the ticket again since he controls the pdp structures in the state. This means that pdp will lose the state again because Omisore is a serial loser. APC will likely field a candidate from Osun west. |

January 19
The Lagos State Government and the environmental utility group contracted to implement the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI), Visionscape Sanitation Solutions, have intensified evacuation of waste in black spots and illegal dump sites across the metropolis.
A tour of various parts of the State on Friday revealed that evacuation of filth had been carried out and still ongoing in major areas including Falomo Bridge, Obalende, Ikoyi, Mushin, Ikeja, Ipaja, Agege, Oshodi, among others.
The clean-up exercise, which was simultaneously going on across the State, is in line with “Operation Deep Clean,” a stop-gap measure designed to keep the city clean pending the full transition to the new waste management policy of the State Government encapsulated in the CLI.
The CLI was established to address, enforce and regulate the challenges in the solid waste management systems within the State in line with global best practices.
Speaking after observing the evacuation of heaps of refuse in Ikeja Along Bus stop on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, a resident of the area, Mr Babatunde Bamidele commended the State Government and Visionscape for the exercise, saying it was obvious that a good job was done.
He said: “What they have done here is very good. Everywhere is clean now. I will only appeal to them to keep up the good work by coming regularly.”
Another resident, Tanwa Babarinde, who operates a public toilet in Ikeja, urged the State Government to designate officials to monitor the area especially at night to prevent indiscriminately dumping of refuse.
She said: “I like what Governor Akinwunmi Ambode is doing to make the State clean. The Visionscape people have been here to clean up this area and they did a very good job.
“My only appeal to the State Government is to designate their officials here especially at night to prevent indiscriminate dumping of waste because anytime they clean up the illegal dump site here, before the next day, you will see heaps of refuse again meaning that some people are coming here to dump waste at night,” Babarinde said.
It would be recalled that the operators of Private Sector Participation (PSP) in waste management and the Lagos State Government had agreed to amicably settle a court case which delayed full implementation of CLI.
Investigation revealed that some people were going out in the middle of the night to dump waste on a large scale on the roads. But the government, in turn, had vowed to go all out after such unscrupulous elements and punish them accordingly in line with the law.
The State Government has also urged residents to properly bag their waste and put in front of their houses for evacuation by officials of the Cleaner Lagos Initiative and other assigned bodies. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/01/cli-lasg-visionscape-intensify-waste-evacuation-across-metropolis/

He said: “What Nigeria needs now is not an election but a return to the drawing board. I call for restructuring and not for elections.”
In his speech, he said he was saddened about the terror attacks in worship centres but assured that “this year promises to be a fruitful one.”
Clarifying the 12 prophecies he made on the first day 2018, he maintained that his declaration was a presidential announcement but a call for prayers.
According to him, “it is my destiny to shepherd this country into its destiny.
The declaration was not a presidential announcement but a call for prayers. Nowhere in my declaration did I say I was running for election.
While waiting on God, God said.

Published January 11, 2018
Sunday Aborisade
President Muhammadu Buhari’s former Campaign Coordinator for Lagos State, Abiodun Faleke, has advised the All Progressives Congress leadership to ignore the pledge by the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, that he will deliver the state for the party in the 2019 presidential election.
Bello had during his recent visit to the Presidential Villa, assured the party’s leadership that he would ensure that Kogi delivers more votes for the President in 2019 than Katsina, his home state. But Faleke, who was the deputy governorship candidate of the APC in Kogi State during the 2015 election, alleged that Bello had no such capacity because of his poor record of performance in the state.
Faleke, in a statement on Wednesday, said, “It is the height of deceit for a governor who owe several months’ salaries and pensions, and who cannot provide basic infrastructure, to boast of delivering Kogi for President Buhari in 2019.
“Mr. President, how can a governor who has been indicted by the Independent National Electoral Commission for engaging in double registration lead your campaign train in Kogi with such a moral stain hanging on his neck?
“The question is, will President Buhari contest? If yes, will he win Kogi with Yahaya Bello as the chief campaigner? The answer is No. This is because he has killed the APC in the state, thereby stripping us of critical campaign issues in the state.” https://punchng.com/2019-faleke-says-buhari-may-lose-in-kogi/
