These guys don't have any shame, so jobless. I don't know why they are so obsessed with us.

even other Africans that are here don't make noise here like these xenophobic negroes, the worst of them is that TMK guy, dude is almost 40 without brain, if you check he might be one of those jobless and unemployed south Africans with cheap phone and data waiting for grants
cheesy
Dont mind them. Their hatred for Nigerians is so much that they killed the only exportable musical talent in their country (Lucky Dube) because they thought he was Nigerian

Again. there's absolutely nothing to prove to a Nigerian don't flatter yourself. You are one African nation South Africans generally look down upon. We come here to correct these stupid assumptions you have about South Africans.

As for the bolded...you wouldn't be fully Nigerian if you didnt ride a lil bi of white di.ck. uncle toms of Africa grin cheesy
You look down upon yet you compare yourself to Nigerians on a Nigerian platform. You have a better life because yiu are in South Africa? Seriously, you are a clown

Lol. Your business? Which ones? Could have fooled me..if there's one country obsessed with SA in Africa it's Nigeria. From the countless vloggers on YouTube comparing Nigeria to SA to the many Nairalanders who get their panties in a knot everytime there's a SA thread. It's no wonder according to Google, South Africa is the most searched country by Nigerians.
And yet here you are. What an irony

I honestly have nothing to prove to you or any Nigerians, im not petty like that. This is a pan-Afrcan forum made in Nigeria, there are Ghanians on this forum Kenyans, Cameroonians etc , we South Africans joined to be part of this pan-African forum too but what do we find? People dragging SA's name on the mud every single day......I asked you what do you expect us to do?
Get a life. You Southies should stop tryimg to prove yourselves to Nigerians. The desperation is sickening. Especially when you factor the fact that you are airheads benefiting from the legacy of DeBoers

oh here's another one grin grin so a stupid blog like this one is a barometer?
Show us your own stupid blog then. Even if you had one, Nigerians would not visit but yet your compatriots keep coming here. Why the desperation to prove yourself to Nigerians?

The question of this thread should have been " "why don't the much vaunted educated Nigerians based in the US plough back to their country of origin" . Elon Musk is just one guy, what are all these educated Nigerians abroad doing to improve the situation back home?
The way you South Africans masturbate over nigerian social media platforms is baffling. Yet you empty heads always want to claim superiority. Get a life bro

for this one - i will place the blame squarely on Emefilie. he spent 2015 to 2019 using Forex Reserves to fight the USD to keep Naira stable - mad buffoon. instead of thinking up ways to diversify the components of our Trade balances and encourage local production for imported items. this magnanimous malu decided to waste $98+ billion on Burea d change dealers and bribing mallams to safeguard his position in CBN
This is the government's job not Emefiele. He has no business trying to diversify the economy

when Nigerians use fake visa and cancel tickets to collect pta and round trip back to black markets and go about complaining that the naira is weak .which other citizens of the world behave like this and still demand a good and stable nation .any money u make by hoarding dollars or round tripping bta will be used to pay for inflation in price of other good and service .
When u are operating two parallel rates, why wont people roundtrip?

That's not the total stock valuation.

The companies listed have a valuation of 500million dollars or more. Which is also a VERY GOOD thing.

Especially for a tier 1 bank like Zenith bank.
The dollar availability issue is a regulatory issue and nothing to do with their financial Operations.
In Nigeria, politics and regulation is a major risk factor. You can't rule it out. You cant expect people to invest in NSE where inflation would erode their gains. Quality stocks are dying. Look at Guinness in the last 10 years.

The stock was never special. Too much hype. How can you make most of your profit from dogecoin trading and expect people to take you seriously? Coinbase that has more fundamental tailwind is still struggling

I believe the Fed would still maintain its dovish stance. The delta variant has put the limelihood of raising interest rate on hold

please know waste your time for that guy , I came here expecting smart Nigerians to criticize Nigeria government not knowing that clueless people full here, the fintech I use to trade America stocks (trove) insures your money upto $500,000 anything above that is at your risk ,now , tell me which politician go use that Kain app launder money? when what they steal is above that , some people here are backward as the government, God bless binance God bless Trove and other fun tech , enjoy your valueless naira while boys they cash out legit
All these guys are alligators benefitting from the comatose system so don't expect any coherent argument from them. The Nigerian that buys US stocks ir crypto, is he going to spend the proceeds in the US or convert it back to Naira? When did all these fintechs start that they are the cause of a naira which has been on life support since 2015. Besides these fintechs bring in FDI. Just this first half of the year Nigerian fintechs have raised about $150m. How much has FG attracted in FDI in this year? You allow people go for medical tourism, send their kids abroad to school, go for pilgrimage and run two exchange rates. You are more eager to apply for loan every 4 months than producing anything, and u blame fintech. Yet only 2% of Nigerians have N500k (or more in their accounts).

Ohyinyeah:
Fintech are giving banks a good run for their money, margin has reduced for banks hence they only way they can do it, is get a court injunction to freeze those Fintech account. Infact most of the founders of the mentioned app didn't even get any notice they read it from the internet.

" CBN alleged that they operated without license and crippled the exchange rate" I will like to see the data presented by CBN to support this allegation. If a couple of fintechs that mainly millennials use could have this effect on a whole country's exchange rate then Nigeria's situation is worse than we all think.

It started from rice ,then milk and corn at some point they blamed fuel subsidy and smuggling then they blamed corruption. Moved to BDC .

They kept looking for blamr now fintech. Soon they will say dom accounts are responsible for "dollarization" of the economy
If the banks had any brain they should be in the fintech space or have acquired one. But no. They dint want to go deeper into retail banking. They are haply with sendung young people out into the street as marketers,i flating balance sheets through excess charges on customers and chasing politicians for deposit

The most frustrating is the multiple exchange rates which is simply an avenue for them to profit from arbitrage by buying dollars at official rates and selling at market rates.

Having instituted a policy framework to facilitate their thievery, they then set about frustrating entrepreneurs in particular and Nigerians in general all in a bid to ensure a constant stream of loot.

It's just cruelty and greed masquerading as legitimate exchange rate management.

A lot of them are also aging dinosaurs, so they don't appreciate these fintech ventures and want to curtail them in order to ensure they alone get to decide who gets scarce foreign exchange.
Nigerian banks have believed that they were indispensable until fintechs came. When you have a career banker as a CBN boss, this is what u should expect.
