I also which to buy from primary market but all my efforts prove abortive.
I visited stanbic I was told the minimum amount to buy from primary is N50m and for me to buy from secondary market I need to have an account with them.

Please how do you manage t0 buy from primary market with less than N50m.

Think independently for once.
American companies are not breaking SEC rules of investment, if they do, they get hefty fines.
Besides, the trade are done in dollars which is not scarce for Americans.

Nigeria has SEC rules banning certain FX transactions without license and within certain limits.
Sentiments or ignorance cannot protect a company that breaks financial rules.

Well, maybe if Nigeria had a history of less corruption, and strong regulatory policies and a stable economy, the US would have no problem in their citizens investing in our fractional stocks.

The US would not stop their citizens from investing in most European stocks and possibly even Chinese stocks until the recent trade wars.

Besides there is no difference between fractional stocks and buying full stocks.

The only difference is that you are buying a fraction of it which is even a safeguard for the customers.

The thread "died" when the YOLO stocks peaked in February/March 2021. It was very predictable that the buzz/excitement won't last.....selecting individual stocks that outperform is more difficult than many people like to believe.

Now the CBN appears to have delivered another blow. It appears the government's specialty is maximising hardship.

Valid points. Well, I am well diversified so no issues at all.

In stock investment, one's age, risk appetite and portfolio size matter a lot. As at close of trading yesterday, my $NIO is about 500% up(despite trading with some units I bought much earlier) and still not considering selling. I remember talking about $NIO when it was still a penny stock in a WhatsApp group and I was shut down with the China bla bla bla. The rest is history!

Too bad. Most of the crimes committed in America are caused by blacks. Now they'd be shouting every black life matters when the whites retaliate. I was driving on the street of Chicago one day and spotted cordoned-off locations with white clothes, cross bar and flowers which usually indicate a site where someone had been killed . It's a regular occurrence there in black neighbourhood. I don't know what's wrong with blacks. They can't manage anger like their white counterparts and most of the causes of shootings are girlfriend or boy friend related. Even those who rob do so in order to oppress or woo ladies with material things. Amazingly, the majority of them don't know Africa yet, behaving like typical Africans. Blood indeed is ticker than water. We need to change our orientation about life. Even the fortunate few would be seen flaunting wealth and intimidating others. It's in DNA.

Just like that? Events of such magnitude don't happen overnight in any investment space, not to talk of businesses listed in the US. The warning signs linger for a long time before such a drastic thing happens. Well, 5 - 10 years not far from now.

I recently added $BABA, $TCEHY, $PDD and $JD to my portfolio at just a few cents above their 52-week low. Yes, they're Chinese stocks, and I'm aware of what I've gone into. I'm not even going to look at the price charts until 5 to 10 years from now!
