There is no such thing as "that job is not meant for me" just because you failed an aptitude test.

People apply for jobs because they possess the requirements for the job or believe that with training they can make a difference at that job even though it's not related to their field of study (for instance you can be personable and have effective communication skills to work as a customer care officer, even though you have lets say a, BEng).

If you write an aptitude test for a job that you meet the requirements and fail, will you say "it's not your job?" You can only worry about why you think you must have failed, work on it and try a little harder or put in a lot more than you already did.

You only discourage yourself when you say a job is not meant for you, unless of course you do not meet the requirements or believe you can't do it.

don't playahate, you should be more concerned at not passing the second phase. adjust yourself and try again. peace!

with or without the name of company and what they're into, you've been told the requirements. if you meet it then APPLY, if you like.

In all honesty, I can't imagine what one can be able to save out of N5,000 as you have to put into consideration the cost of transporting yourself to your work place, that's if your office is not the next block to your home, feeding oneself, if you don't stay with close familiy members that would rather feed you in order that you can save and other expenses that will surely come up.
If you have to take a job that offers "peanuts", then I think it should be a job that you'll have gained some sort of experience at the end of your stay there, even if it's not related to your field of study. You also should be able to save something at the end of the month and the job need not get in your way of searching for or attending interviews that may or will land you your "dream job".
But if you feel comfortable with it, that is after you must have considered all of the above and much more, then you should take it, as it's better than staying idle at home. Who knows, as Wale said it can open a BIG job for you.

I've written the test before and i remember there was general math questions like you would find in GMAT. There was also diagrammatic tests which is in a booklet. I think there were two of such tests. You can find such tests also in the GMAT. Just practice well and i'm sure you'll do well.
