Gbawe: With allegations , we can believe or reject what is stated . I choose to believe GEJ has a hand in this . Ohakim and Uduaghan rigged blatantly because they know they are GEJ's 'boys' and have his tacit support to the extent that , unlike the SW and the North , they feel nothing will happen if they rig with impugnity. I do not see JEGA compromising his integrity to please anyone here. I am sure GEJ is not interfering. I know Ohakim was using serious monetary inducement. All parties were involved in the inducement even the ACN in Lagos which does not in anyway make it right. Ogboru rigged his area heavily. The truth is that Ohakim has lost and should swallow his boasting and accept defeat for the benefit of the people. No one can prove GEJ is influencing the outcome in as much as it is possible since Ohathief belongs to the ruling party. Both parties will try to sway INEC. I was watching about an hour ago and the PDP southeastern chairman, Olisa Metu was accusing INEC of being biased towards APGA. He said that APGA tells INEC what it does claiming that APGA's predictions has all come to pass. Whatever that means. . . |

Gbawe: Jega should stand firm and declare Okorocha the winner . Anything else , such as a rerun in some LG areas , will directly confirm what Saharareporters have alleged . I don't think so. I want Ohakim out for your information however, what they did in other places was to conduct a re-run where the election was inconclusive. The reason why we are even looking for an alternative resolution is because of the time restriction. Otherwise a re-run in those LGA would have been ordered. To order a re-run now will breach the law which says 30 days before hand over and to declare Rochas the winner when 3 LGA were declared inconclusive could result to legal problem. If I were JEGA, I would turn the inconclusive declaration to cancellation like was done in Kano and then declare Rochas the winner. Let them go to tribunal after swearing in. I do not see any reason why it is GEJ doing it. |

Gbawe: Previous undemocratic behavior of GEJ suggests that he is capable of this . That makes it a speculation. |

I read that INEC went into an emergency meeting at 5 pm to determine what to do with the election and would come out with a position after the meeting. It could be. I hope so! |

You are welcome babs2011: @Agaba, thanks for the info. Will use google maps next time to measure the distance. I also prefer waking up early to run, more to do with the fact i'm still quite self concious whilst running so prefer it if its nice and quiet. Good! Well, manage to wake up a bit early before the traffic increases.
The distance does not matter really. Whatever you do for 30 minutes is surely enough as far you are running. |

HourGlass1: I use mins too, and i also use google earth/maps to measure too. I realized when walking i do 1km in 10 mins, running in 8 mins/1km. @123 is it possible to do 5k for 23 mins while on land with impact and dodging vehicles etc Well if you are in a city with walkways you won't have problems with vehicles you know. What I normally if there is no walkway is to wake up early. |

Some girls form! In the Uni those days, girls will come to the restaurant, pay for a full plate of rice, eat less than half and work a way. One day, one finished eating, walking outside the restaurant she vomited. Lo and behold, after the little she ate came out, there was garri (asoki) following immediately. So the lady had actually smoked garri before coming to the restaurant |

I have been coming to Nairaland since 2006, but I have been merely lurking around the last couple of years. I don't remember posting much if anything at all about the this election or the candidates. That said, in spite of his flaws, I thought GEJ was the better candidate. I was a big fan of Ribadu (as EFCC chairman), but I knew he had no business running for the presidency. I was always wary of Buhari, I saw him as being too parochial in his world view, not fit for the times. That said, I see him as a very honorable man and I am hoping he can rise to the occasion and accept defeat honorably.
OK |

Hedgefund: One thing I've noticed in Nigeria is that one cannot rely on public restrooms. Imagine a woman that lives in the mainland, goes on a date on the island, eats a big plate of Amala and bokoto, all of a sudden on the way back home, stuck in traffic, she feels one of those very watery but heavy poo developing in her large intestine.
What are the options in relieving herself? the Bush? Which bush for 3rd mainland bridge? Na water system jare Huge body of water both sides! |
What is it that many Nigerian women eat a pie and ice cream while going out with a guy? Maybe it is to portray an image that you eat healthy and on a diet? Maybe you feel embarrassed to eat a lot as you normally do infront of a guy? If the girl I was having dinner with was obese, chubby, chunky, big boned, thick, husky, etc. Then, ok, I would actually applaud her for eating healthy but a girl who is not in bad shape? Come on, there's Amala eba , Pounded Yam ,fish in the menu, lean steaks, light pasta, etc. as well.
Last week I had with a Amala in a restuarant with an old girl friend I sometimes see. Had some beef meat and fish with one pomo. I was not THAT hungry. She had a water too as a starter and then ordered a pie, another appetizer, etc. It was fine with me. If you like to pig out, go for it . You don't have to necessarily get your face and fingers dirty. Don't know what embarrasses some Nigerian women out there or what image they are trying to portray. Maybe I am missing something. If you don't feel comfortable eating as much as you normally do in front of a guy, why is it?
So eating meat pie with ice cream is eating healthy? I laugh in biron language |
