@TOPIC
Most of the time topic at NL gives a different impression from the message in the topic like this one. On seeing it, I thought FG has already concluded and made a statement, only for me to FG is still trying to ascertain.

I too want IBB prosecute not just because of $12.4 Billion but for annulling June 12 and the death of my darling Journalist Dele Giwa.

If june 12 1992 election was not annulled, now Nigeria would be moving in a faster lane. But see us now trying to emulate Ghana, just because of on man - IBB.

VOTE FOR IBB.

With one man one stone.
Well if the headline is not sensational, you may not look in. I copied that directly from the Newspaper smiley

Brother there is a difference between dependent siblings and dependent wife and children. Your siblings can get money elsewhere but its not quite the same when a wife and children are involved.

I think there is time for job satisfaction in ones life but all long & short term effects of this in all other areas have to be very carefully thought out.

What seems like a very happy relationship now will start to be strained once bills are not being paid & purse strings tightend.

We are all human and even though wifey thinks it is not an issue now, when reality comes knocking soft voices will soon become loud shouting.

What is the point of job satisfaction when the home front is strained?
We are not talking about 20 or 30K here which may not be too noticable. We are talking a whopping 160K difference a month which also equates to just under 2 Miliion a year!
That's exactly my thought lady. She will be saying she can cope, but all that na mouth. If one has never tasted poverty she will never know her reaction when faced with a limiting situation.

Well No theory, I just told you who officially are the custodian of your law. Whether they discharge their duty is another ball game.

Remember you asked me earlier if we have to shout before justice is done. Then I told you that if the custodians do not do their job then we have to remind them. Now you are asking whether i do not know how things are. It is because i know how things are that I suggested that the masses will have to drum it up to get justice.

Back to where we started?
PoliticsRe: Fed. Govt. Vows To Prosecute Ibb by agabaI23(op): 2:01am On May 21, 2010
Kobojunkie:
So, who is the custodian of the law in this case?
In your country so many bodies do the same job.

EFCC, ICPC, Police etc. These guys should be independent and go after any criminal. The executive comes in when there is a panel of enquiry like that of Okigbo after which they should hand in the report to the appropriate body for necessary action.
As if you do not know.

The man is complaining of BP and yet, some are encouraging him to stick with the job in Lagos. Afroprince, which one is more important, your health or making more money. You are in a difficult situation, but God will see you through. After six months, you might get a raise from 90k.
The BP is there already, if the family has a history of BP, their is nothing he can do about it which is most likely the case. So moving back to Enugu will not cure his BP. He can only manage it and that can do in both places.

Stick to your Job.

Nigerians do not need a Gani for the laws to be upheld. We do not need to drum for EFCC to open up the investigation on her, or is that the way it ought to work?
If the custodians of the law refuse to do what they should do, the public who bequeated the role to them should demand that justice be done.

And this works elsehwere. When you have refused to allow them have their ways, they will learn to do it right to avert unrest or lose their power like Brown

Well I know for now, it is almost impossible, however if Nigerian should begin to drum for her execution, anything can happen.

Not sure anyone will drum for that now that Gani is gone even though he could be biased.

Well, I will not hold my breath for this one. We may even get a report tommorow claiming this news is FALSE, who knows. If the federal is going to prosecute IBB, it better be ready for a fight of the decade because IBB is probably going to fight back and I doubt 6 months will be enough for this fight. You are right, there is always a first but in Nigeria's case, it is yet to be seen. Even Obj is walking free and fabulous after all his crimes against the people. Jonathan's wife, has yet to be made to answer to allegations of fraud she was supposedly involved in. *** let it out*** lol
Nothing stops Jonathans wife from being prosecuted. I remember, when he was asked about the case, GJ said, she is an adult and should be able to answer for herself. I guess that is still the case.

Kobojunkie:
Charging and prosecuting him in 6 months? That will be a feat considering we have not been able to do that for almost 20 years now.
There will always be the first time and do not forget that charghing him with corruption will hang around his neck, not that an average Nigerian who is a praise singer cares.

Kobojunkie:
He is looking at a VP slot in less than a year? He is already VP, I am not certain he has announced he wants the job for longer.
May be I should have said for a longer term. Power is difficult to let go esp for African politicians but even the europeans are not spared, ask Gordon brown.
I think he will like to be there for a longer term that is if he does not want to be the president in 2011

Kobojunkie:
That he is an ally, he might work to cripple attempts by the president to prosecute his pal . . . look at the Obj-Atiku example.
As I said earlier, there is no permanent allies. People form political allies in order to achieve what they cannot achieve alone. If they can achieve it without the help of another, then the other could as well go to hell. A case in hand is the marriage of convenience between Cameron and Clegg.
The moment Cameron thinks he can win a majority, he will jetisson the wedding ring.

Yes May be!!!!!!!!!!!

Kobojunkie:
Clip IBB's Wing in less than a year? By the way
Yes, charging him for corruption and prosecuting could do that in 6 months. Remember he is a Nigerian president. he may choose to do it the way of OBJ.
Kobojunkie:
By the way, his VP is a known IBB Ally.
Yea but Sambo is looking at a VP slot in less than a year and a possible Presidential slot in a long term. There is no permenant friends in politics.

Yar'Adua's nephew is a good example.

Kobojunkie:
That a whole lot of Nigerians see IBB as the greatest of the corrupt in the country did not stop him from throwing his hat in the race, this will?
That is desire. Nigerians may not remain complacent forever. Not GJ is devoid of crime. We are only hoping may be for once someone may put the country first.

PoliticsRe: Fed. Govt. Vows To Prosecute Ibb by agabaI23(op): 6:08pm On May 20, 2010
Now I am not sure if this is true.

If it is true, it could be GJ wants to clip IBB's wings as regards 2011
Whatever the motive, let them with the evil genius and then may be and may be OBJ will pay his own share of halliburton bribe
PoliticsFed. Govt. Vows To Prosecute Ibb by agabaI23(op): 6:06pm On May 20, 2010
The FG has set up a committee to ascertain whether on the basis of the Okigbo report a criminal charge can be sustained against former military president General Ibrahim Gbadamosi Babangida (rtd) over allegations of corruption and mismanagement of $12.4 billion in the Dedicated and Special Accounts while he was in power.

Brother Poster,

Many people have said many good things, chaircover et al.

let me add this if no one has added it.

Your wife is in school and I am sure she will need some space and some time to study. Your ocassional presence is more like what she needs now.
She can visit during the holidays with your child.

When she graduates, let her relocate to Lagos. Get her a job too in Lagos.

DO NOT give up your 250K job.
Romance dey die when money dries.
It is easier to manage a lower salary when you have not tasted a higher one. And as things are in nigeria, 90k no fit do nothing for a bachelor.

All the pictures he posted are there in the comic strip. The same name. The only thing Victor did was to remove the owners name which is criminal.

See more of Asukwo's great work.

I believe Victor is very different from Asukwo. The strokes are different even tho, they both are politically aware and interprete effectively. In summation very humorous and quite deep.
I am sure you were refering to me. I still think he is copying and pasting. See first 2 pics and see mine
