Sitting on a $280b mountain of cash, said to be only half of his company's portfolio size, and refusing his loved one a humble request of $40,000 tied to a specific need, suggesting it's not a habitual pestering for money.........

Here is what a miser looks like, both in Africa and in America.
At 80+ what much time left does he have to share love?

Didn't we hear that he lived in the same house for decades despite all these fortunes

@megawealth01 is one of my favorite person on this thread... I made some real cash from his picks and cautions.

Abeg should I sell my FirstBank stocks now? I have already made almost 40% on the recent rally. I can't seem to find why FBNH has been rallying and I doubt if the recent price can be sustained.

My view: any shares that you have now, keep till January

The actual thing to do is for NNPC to also reveal how much they are paying for PMS imports currently (since 16.8 million litres purchased from Dangote Refinery isn't enough for local consumption). NNPC is just trying to put DR on the spot vs Nigerians. You import at over #1,100/litre and subsidize it to sell at circa #840. Then you buy a better quality of the same product at less than your import price but because you don't want DR, you prefer not to pay a lower subsidy so that you can keep importing in order to pay a higher subsidy. The problem is that we don't seem to see through what they(NNPC) are doing.

Their game is simply to justify continuing importation. Why don't they hands off and allow the free market to run? Or better still, supply crude in Naira and control the price?

Hate ke , loving his moves grin grin grin , it’s the move that gullible Nigerians believe , I don tell una reality

He should come out and state the Price he sold to them if it’s a lie . Very simple , don’t we know the price he sells diesel , aviation fuel etc .

I tell people i bought from you 1 naira and provide my evidence , you say No you dint , then tell us how much you sold it and your evidence . All So basic . I sign out on this

Has the government hands off from PMS? The company also has to be diplomatic. At least they both agreed now that Dangote Refinery has yet to receive the crude promised in naira which is the hidden information that the NNPCL did not provide

Dangote is trying to be smart by half and not look bad to Nigerians with the high price . He said absolutely nothing in that statement

Simply tell us what price you sold to nnpc , you sold to them in dollars , won’t it be converted to naira for consumers to buy in Nigeria

Probably waiting till October when he receives crude in naira , even at that, pricing might just be slightly better . The exchange rate is the Koko , that determines everything . All this things are simple basic economics , except there is a subsidy element

Will love to be in dangotes shoes , his feasting has just begun

Una just dey hate for nothing
The pricing is entirely on NNPCL plate. From the statement made by the company, it is obvious that NNPCL was only truthful by half.

We will wait till October to see how far

I don't like arguing further; I've been very clear in what I said. The people who got help through my small post have already done so. If you work abroad with a plan for 3 to 5 years, you should have much more than $50k saved up (if you want me to explain why and how, just ask politely).

I understand how most guys get pressure from people back home - for burials, health issues, small business capital, school fees. Now, instead of sending money every now and then, you can simply take that $50k (must not be $50k, before you start again, please read like an intelligent person that you are) and invest it in Nigeria at 17 to 18% interest(Now, the chance is going as rates are coming down) . This way, you'll have no more worries; the proceeds can take care of all those expenses.

You can even use the returns to build up small investments without adding extra money, while you continue saving. I can tell you what nurses earn after tax, not from internet sources, but from the workers themselves. Again, if you're interested, just ask politely. shocked

So person go work for 3-5 years of his life only to plan for...."responsibilities at home"? Shuuo

People have been talking about flour stocks lately, so I thought we might as well look at the past and see what could happen if historical trends were projected onto the future. I know the idea of probability is a hard one for some of us to grasp, but we have no choice—it is what it is.

Looking over the closing prices and daily returns from 2012 to yesterday, the charts below show the likelihood of getting returns for 1 month (25 days), 2 months (50 days), and 3 months (75 days) projections of the three flour stocks.

Let's take the 1-month projection as an example: NNFM has a 16.23% chance of returning 20% or above in the next 25 days. NNFM is more likely to achieve 20% or above, followed by Honeyflour. However, NNFM also has a 10% chance of losing 20% or more.

For those familiar with sports betting, we can also state the probability as decimal odds: NNFM has 6.16 odds (1 divided by probability) of achieving a 20% or greater return in the next 25 days.

Now that you have the prior probabilities, it's up to you to perform your Bayesian updates and bet accordingly. cheesy cheesy grin grin grin
