manchy7531: Falana go back to law school and start over.Falana is a daft and corrupt lawyer.Who gave him a SAN.Good article and good articulation. You put Falana to shame.God save Nigeria if this Falana does not even know how to interpret the law.A whole SAN that cannot tell the difference between incarceration and deportation??Shame on Falana. You are no Gani Fawehinmi, the only crusader of truth and the common man.No one can take the place of our honorable Chief Gani Fawehinmi.Since he died,Nigeria has been awashed in self promoting and self serving social crusaders like Falani.Falana is only interested in putting food on the table for his family.160 million mumu, dont be deceived by daft and foolish so-called civil crusaders.
manchy7531: as we celebrate the remembrance of Biafra and igbo Happy survival day, i do use this opportunity to celebrate some of our inventions and unforgettable memories of Biafra through images.

omongbatim: No big deal. That is a ratty position, and besides Igbos make up 45% of Lagos, according to the same Joe Igbokwe.
You are 45% in a place where you are nothing politically, nothing socially, nothing culturally, nothing in the grand scheme of things....

Obviously, somebody is spinning tales by moolight..

redsun: [s]You don't get it do you?You have not pointed out where the constitutions say a non indigene should not participate in the political affairs of the state he/she resides if he or she deems fit.

Just because you are too primitive to explore your surroundings does not mean everybody is the same.Igbos are in lagos because lagos was the immediate federal capital of nigeria and at the moment still the commercial capital for business. If abuja wasn't a wrong choice in terms of facilities and accessibilities i don't think more businesses will still be in lagos.

You have to live with it until nigeria splits up and you must learn to conform to the law, otherwise you will be considered a primitive outlaw[/s]
Like I said, you have no moral consideration or authority to speak on such matters since your own ibo governments have no constitutional consedrations for your own ibo civil service workers, you get rid of them and deport them at will so start with your own backyard and quit spewing garbage and hypocrisy...

Charity begins at home. ...

owolabifunke14: Is such a shame for my governor to play lip-service just to score cheap political point. Labour Party must take over Lagos State and restore our dignity.
Which one be Labour Party again? Is this a new Fuji band? grin

redsun: If the yorubas really wants to play part in igbos affairs, they should migrate to igbo lands and get involve with activities in igbo.
The question was, since you are in hausa land majorly just like you are in Lagos, why not go to the North and demand your rights to be part of their governing system?

Your silly constitution rant is nothing but BS until you show us the part of the constitution dictating that states must hire folks from out of state into their civil services. Don't bother because I know you can not and there is no such stipulations, it exists only in your tribal and ignorant mind.

It's even more ridiculous coming from your kind considering the fact that your own people not only have no such rights withing fellow ibo states, you fire and boot off your own ibo people out of Abia. Where was your so calld constitutional rights and fake outrage?

I don't know why you people think we are incapable of reading through your tribal BS and meaness towards your own people right there in your own land. Give your own people their rights before demanding such from other people.

redsun: All man is a political animal,if he is not a politician e won't accept the post. The fact remains that is the igbos fundamental constitutional right to be part of lagos politics as part of the inhabitants of lagos.Unless the nigerian constitution says otherwise.
You people quote this constitution crap only when it suits you, yes we all have fundamental human rights yaddy yadda, but there are equally tons of ibo people in other parts of Nigeria specifically up North, how many ibo people are part of any government over there? Why don't you go over there and demand your rights? Don't you have the same rights in Northern Nigeria? How many out of state Nigerians do they have in your government back home?

You can not force anybody to hire anybody just like the rest of Nigeria is not doing, but we are happy to keep showing that regardless of the constitution and other people's way of doing things, we are better and matured to live and see beyond your pettiness..

Btw, who hired this man? The same Tinubu many of these ingrates love to hate..
Politics › Re: Ibaka Seaport In Akwa Ibom To Start Operations In 2015 by agbameta: 3:22am On Aug 15, 2013
Mr Everest: You think you are wise but you know nothing. If you don't know better know it now and stop exhibiting ignorance here, Igbo importers/business men/traders control over 70% of merchandise that comes into Nigeria. Aside used cars and construction equipment/Vehicles that are evenly spread across Nigeria, the rest are controlled by Igbos in Lagos, Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi. From these Commercial cities they send the goods in smaller consignments across the rest of Nigeria. If you still doubt it because of primordial destructive ethnic sentiment, you can simply take a walk to Apapa or Tin Can and ask for their list of registered importers and destination of such goods.
That said, I do not subscribe that Lagos should fall or be deserted because Igbos and indeed every other Nigerians are all stakeholders.
The scenario that is likely to play out is that there will be astronomical economic growth in Uyo region, enhanced economic activity in Aba and businesses will grow with increased investments. The existing pressure on Lagos ports would be drastically reduced and even if gets below optimal capacity, it will engender improved services and a clamp down on goods coming from Benin and Togo ports, so generally speaking, these countries will be the losers because they rely on Nigerian goods for a good chunk of their revenue while Nigeria as a country will be the better for it.
Keep quiet with your sentimental and emotional rant,

You people spew the most absurd and retaarded nonsense in the history of mankind. You wake up everyday making up % after % as if it means nothing, as if % is just a another A B C D you spew just for the heck of it. % is a statement of fact based on credible survey, data gathering and aggregations, not some silly and senseless tribal sentiments you people throw around like cavemen.

Do you even have any official data to support your insane and ridiculous claim with? Damn!!! Are you people for real or this is just some kind of disease and flawed genetics.?

phantom: spoken like one who has never been to the east.we have 'original' products, china made and aba made.never heard of ibadan made or ondo made.why? Its simple.theres lots of manufacturing going on in the east.when i mention 'east' i refer both to the geographical entity AND the people.meaning? The ' east' is not just in nnewi and aba but also in lagos, kano or even PHC.there is a spare parts village here in ph called ikoku populated by 'you know who' .they just dont sell parts anymore here.they produce and now assemble parts here.i kid you not.and we are talking of a place not up to 1 KM in length.the east might be small, but the output from its people is too enormous!we consume and use the above goods you listed in large quantities i make bold to say.if you still dont believe me, maybe you can tell me why the benin ore highway does not survive each rainy season.
1. There are more consumers in Lagos state and the SW in general

2 There are more auto related businesses in the Lagos and the SW

3. The non oil related GDP is higher in the SW than the SE and SS

4. There is little or no construction or major projects going on in the SE and SS combined.

And the North/Middle Belt is still there..

Common sense should tell you that one single region especially the SE can not consume 70% on goods entering Nigeria because there is nothing on the gorund to support that claim, not the people, not the buying power, not the economy or infrastructure.

Nigeria is more than spare parts abeg...
