Must the thread above be closed at all? They are 2 different threads with 2 different titles and content. Why close it in favor of something totally different? Wasn't this ovbious enough that they are not the same and the subject matter are also not the same?

Even if you are goint to close it, why not merge the topic and post?

I don't get you people and your ways I swear...

SapeleGuy: This action is unconstitutional according to section 4 point 41:
41. (1) Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit therefrom.

Even those who should know better are ignoring the constitution (Fashola is a SAN) - If it is true, then this move is appalling.
Section 35 (1) of the Const. provides that “every person shall be entitled to his personal liberty and no person shall be deprived of such liberty save in the following cases and in accordance with a procedure permitted by law -( a b, c,) ” (d) in the case of a person who has not attained the age of eighteen years for the purpose of his education or welfare; and ” (e) in the case of persons suffering from infectious or contagious disease, persons of unsound mind, persons addicted to drugs or alcohol or vagrants for the purpose of their care or treatment or the protection of the community”.

LSG based it's vagrant laws on the constitution as allowed in the same constitution as shown above.

Your interpretation of the constitution is very meager...

What's there to twist? That the man is or not a lawbreaker and a dead beat?

The thing is, it's ok when other Nigerians are held responsible for their actions, but it's always tribalsim and other dumb nonsense when it comes to ibo people.

Can you people just get over yourselves already?
Yorubas are politically astute. All the Yoruba wars were fought for political dominance. Some political domains were swallowed up in a broad web of alliances between different rival groups and as a result some seats of power had lost their crowns and yet others who were no more than outposts are today crown power.

Yoruba will not fight on money, nor on religion but Yoruba is ever ready to combat and kill or be killed for political supremacy and domain rights.

Ooni and his Yoruba people are not exhibiting any new traits, what you observed has always been a part of our culture. Starting with the last Ooni, the palace is involving itself more in political territories naturally reserved for the Alaafin. The conflict of interest is what we see as open clashes in personality. Ooni is outside of his element, I agree; but that does not and should not in anyway diminish his role and neither should we disrespect his throne.

We are Yorubas, not Ibos. grin
Of what use and respect is his throne when in fact he's using the same throne against Yoruba people and their interests.? The man doesn't give a damn about Yoruba people and their welfare, his basic interest is personal wealth and access to political power and corrupt elements..

phantom: common sense is not my problem.i want to know what you think.infact f*&k what you think.60 to 70% of the goods coming in are headed to the east.take that to the bank and be ready to retire from your broke a** day job in a few years!
Exactly what's the so called 70% goods? Consumables? Construction equipments, Farming equipments, automobiles? Just what?

1. How many people are left in the east to consume 70% goods entering Nigeria? What are they doing with it?

2. What and where are the construction activities in the east because the east is not synonymous with projects and they haven't commissioned any in a long time?

3. The buying power and population needed to consume 70% of the goods entering Nigeria is not in the east, even the meager GDP of the whole eastern region can not support 70%.

4. And this 70% figure came from where exactly? From inside ya pata or some official government data?

I know you people like to beat your hollow chest needlessly, but try pump your breaks sometimes because your proclamations gets too absurd, ridiculous, kindergarten and elementary sometimes.. grin grin
Ooni is still the spiritual head of Yorubaland. His status and role in Yorubaland is firm and steady. I dont know what you are inferring.
He's too corrupt and he lacks credibility. Of what use and relevance are you if your subjects and I mean Yoruba people are not in the same political camp with you? His actions and associations are very anti Yoruba people.

He has to close down the concentration camp where he warehouses innocent Nigerians captured in their own country illegally.
Courts decides what's illegal or not illegal so slow down with the layman NL layering. grin

Secondly, he has to account for those people who died while in that holding camp. The deportees alleged that some people died there, and that they were held there for 2 years. He has to account for that.
This fake gist must have emanated from the tribal times aka Sun times Gossip Tabloid. grin

Finally, he should pay compensation to those whose constitutional rights he violated with impunity.
Pay people for violating state laws? Very laughable. How much did Mrs Obi paid the fellow ibo people he deported? How much did the federal government paid the ibo people they deported back to iboland?

Your hypocrisy and fake cries smells like doo doo.. grin

Failing to do these will destroy him politically in Nigeria, making him a political leper at the center; unless he has no presidential ambitions.
Where is this political center? The SW? The North, The SS or the SE? I'm sure in your world, it's the SE/SS which in the grand scheme of things = Irrelevant... grin

If he doubts the power of a sectional grudge in Nigeria, he should go and ask Abiola.
One Igboman named Arthur Nzeribe made sure that Abiola's dream never materialized.

“If, in spite of failing to do so, Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu wants to give ethnic colouration to a routine performance of its duties by an agency of the state government, which in this case is the Land Use Charge Office, under the Ministry of Finance, he is welcome to do so.

“However it should be noted that when the issue was brought to the attention of the Governor, Tuesday evening, he directed the agency to unseal the property and that an additional 14 days grace period be given to Mr. Kalu to pay the said charge.”

It should be emphasised that notices like these are served on defaulting property owners on a regular basis who either comply or contact the Agency to raise any objections they might have to such notice. Mr. Orji Uzor Kalu, like every other citizen, must fulfil his obligation to the State
I'm telling you, Fashola is too nice to these ingrates..

bimbos3xy: I think Fashola should think of future implication when making decision like this because people might start seeing him as a tribalist and that would end his ambition.
I don't think Fashola is losing sleep over any tribal worries or his future especially since regardless of Fashola's action or inaction, you are a tribalist if you don't agree to or go along with their ways and thinking..

Obi1kenobi: Oga, Sun Newspaper is the widest circulated paper in Nigeria. I don;t even like the paper because they borrowed from the UK sensationalist tabloid style of reporting. I prefer Thisday, Guardian and Punch and many in the corporate class prefer those papers, but Sun appeals to a wider demography of the masses. You can ask any vendor you see which papers he distributes fastest and which he gets more copies of every morning. It's the Sun.
Igbos generally feel inferior and inadequate and compensate with false superiority. They think that they are superior to other persons. No human being is superior to other human beings. To the extent that a human being feels superior to other persons he is deluded. Delusion is a psychosis. Many Igbos are deluded. They need to heal themselves of this delusion disorder, aka paranoia by accepting
that they are not superior to any one.

It's just a matter of time before we get rid of all the dirty inhabitants via our sustained family reunion program grin grin..
