The full meaning of SSC is Short Service Combatant, and upon commission you will be decorated with the rank of Second Lieutenant. You must have either HND or Bsc minimum of second class lower. Your course of study doesn't matter becos you will be posted to wherever the Army want you to be. If you find your way into the Army through the SSC, you can get to the rank of Major General. You are expected to spend 10 years in the Army but you will go for conversion before the expiration of the the tenure for you to get converted to a Regular Combatant, which will give you the chance to reach the peak of your career otherwise you will retire as a captain or major. Many people do think that once they join the Army, promotion won't be a problem. Promotion to next rank requires hard work becos if one is not sound academically and mentally, compulsory retirement will be the way out. Standard examination even more difficult than the once you did in higher institution awaits you, which is the only assessment that can cause setback for a commissioned officer. However, the Army is an accommodating organisation once you plan your career very well. Hope I have been able to aquaint you to some of the information you asked for?

Morning nlanders I will try to make my story very brief....

I Went to make a fix deposit of about #500,000 last week at GTbank then I received a call the next day from the staff that helped me in opening the fixed deposit account that he will like to see me the next day which was on Saturday. He described his place of residence to me and I went to see him.
He told me that a friend of his that is about traveling abroad wants to sell his car that he needed about #160,000 to add to wot he has now and since I came to make a fix deposit he felt I won't be using the money now and I should pls borrow him and he would pay back in 2months time. Although I made it clear to him that I cnt do such a thing moreover u work in a bank and can easily take a loan which from there u would be paying bit by bit.
Pls my question now is does he have access to take my money without my permission??

Please be calm because risks that do accompany the Military job cannot be better explained until you are directly involved. I just confirmed concerning his whereabout from the appropriate authority but he is still Missing in Action. The Military have not cofirm him dead because his body has not been found; which means he can still join up at any moment. I believe he is not dead because the Military have seen many cases of this nature which personnels Missing in Action will reunite with their colleagues after a year. However, the Military has not lost hope because he may come back one day and the search for his body is still on course; which will expose him to a befitting Military burial when found. Pray for him and have faith in God that the officer should come back alive.

I must tell you the truth, you shouldn't have rented 150K accommodation becos your salary is low. its not wise to be spending 25% of your salary on house rent; what if you are sacked? Its better for you to suffer now than to postpone it. You can still get a room and parlour for 60K per annum in places like Ajegunle, ikorodu, irawo etc in Lag. If you suffer now, the extra 90K remaining can be saved for 5years if you have financial discipline which will amount to abt 500K. You can start a business with it and as well be earning your salary. You have to plan your life with God and be disciple for you to achieve your goal. Don't please anybody becos you are the only one that know what you will achieve. Don't be caught up in the rat race; bros think ahead.

Remember that the so called Generals laboured to get there; moreover the sky Is your starting point because you can still do better in life than a General.
