This is how most supermarket are globally. Same in UK, USA, Canada and Australia. We don't produce anything, we import. Since 2020 global mid chain markets have been shutting down globally. Start hanging out with celebrities. Then in 5 years time turn to I used to have money. Give it to someone from China, Japan, UK,etc and you will see them call financial advisors and plan for the future. What future did most Nigeria parents from the 70s, 80s and 90s leave for their children? Right from when I was born in the 90s, the story was Nigeria na hellfire, USA is heaven. We sang Nigeria jaga jaga, we sang to Africa China. Now we say those days were sweet. Why are we contradicting ourselves. Most of our ladies in the university rather sleep their way to graduate, guys rather pay to pass. Then we graduate certified illiterates into our work force and expect progress. Everyone wants shortcut, when the government start bringing in policies to move us forward, we find ways to cheat it. The billions that yahoo scamming has brought into the country, what did we use it to do? Look at Switzerland, they used stolen goods from WW2 to improve themselves, what is Swiss account. Isn't it an account to hide money? But yet they did not buy benz, they set up factories, invested in real estate housing schemes. Our people said no, our government must do everything. The same government that is a product of our corrupt society. We are expecting them to be magically different.

Your claims are as asnine as claiming that USA never landed on the moon. India designed EVERYTHING of the Tejas Mk1A fighter jet other than TWO THINGS: ENGINE AND EJECTION SEAT.

Look at the old photo below, that is the Mk1 version. See its almost mostly Indian. By officially state figures, 70% (by part count) of the Tejas Mk1 is Indian designed, developed and manufactured. That number is set to go up to 90% for Tejas Mk2. Everything from sensors, actuators, avionics, sensor fusion, weapons, fly by wire, composite structures, radome, landing gear, tires, brake discs, bubnle canopy, life support systems, etc EVERYTHING is all being developed in India FROM SCRATCH.

For the remaining 30% parts that are imported, see first photo is have posted and read below how most of those imported parts now have Indian analogues in design or testing and will shortly be replacing the imported parts

There are two Israeli flags in the photo I posted. One is for the radar, one is for the SDR. In the later Mk1A production models, instead of the Israeli radar, an Indian Gallium Arsenide AESA Radar named UTTAM AESA RADAR is to be used. That thing was developed completely in India. The SDR is Israeli because Indian Air Force selected it for the entire air fleet. The SDR used by Indian navy is completely Indian designed and developed, so its not like we don't have the technology. Also the the Israeli SDR is manufactured in India by Indian company Astra Microwave Tech Ltd.

British flags are for ejection seat, IFR probe and radome. The new Indian radome and IFR probes have finished testing and will replace the British made counter parts. The Indian designed replacement of the British ejection seat is a recently started project and will take a few years to achieve satisfactory reliability.

French flag is for MFD. But now an Indian company BEL makes the MFD displays, so that is also history.

That leaves the American flag for the engine and the a Russian flag for the guns. The engine we can't make on our own yet. I wrote that in my first comment itself. This is the biggest technological challenge India is currently facing. And the Russian flag is for the guns, we are making that particular gun in India under license and don't want to reinvent the wheel because it's not something that we can't make or repair on our own (its not very high tech). The primary core of very fighter is the engine. Then then avionics. Non is produced in India. From your logic, if I buy a car engine and electrical system from bmw to produce a vehicle. I independently produced that vehicle. I have been following fighter jet forums since 2012. Even the Indians in the forum never once claimed to produce a jet independently. Russia, China and USA all produce their jets independently. In the early 2000s China produced in collaboration with Russia. India is yet to produce any independent jet. Accept the facts as it is. India has no independently made fighter jet.

LCA Tejas Mk1 and mk1a are both designed by the India government in collaboration with GE Aerospace's who designs and manufacture the F404-GE-IN20 engines for the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

The jet they discontinued and the ones in prototype are all in collaboration with a company from USA and Russia. Same goes for the India hypesonic missile which is mostly Russia tech in an India body.

GE Aerospace's is in USA. The engine, avionics, missile guidance system, are not designed or manufactured in India. Only the body and system language is. No country buys India fighter jet because they know the direct source. They design the boby of their jets and test the aerodynamics. But all core component is imported.

India does design and make its own fighter jets, starting right from raw material stage. Only in jet engine technology we are behind. But that doesn't mean we don't design and develop fighter jets independently.

India co produces it's fighter jets. Name one India fighter jet that wasn't in collaboration with Russia or USA?

They don't manufacture jets independently. It's in Pakistan manufactures in colab with China, India with Russia. Most of India advance fighters are from France. And both countries invest heavily on military since they expect one day they will go all out on the battlefield. USA will not do collaboration with Nigeria, neither will France or UK. And they will not want us to invite Russia or China.
