This trend is funny. People saying their coke is superior really have no concept of how world economy works. Does saying units to degrade Nigeria really have no concept of how money works. A lot of Nigerians need to go back to economy classes.
Nigerianxpress: You're making excuses for incompetence, if the so called developed countries's leaders had your same mindset, then they would still be stuck underdeveloped.
Those developed countries rely heavily on the stupidity of underdeveloped nations to prosper. It's why the west has had over 20 failed assassination attempts on Taore. The moment Nigeria decides to start being independent and forward thinking, religious wars and killings will start. Go listen to what senator Perry said about USAID and NGOS programs in Africa. Let's stop idolizing people who are doing their best to make sure we stay backwards, and let's start encouraging ourselves.
Offpoint1: For the love of me, I don't see why relocating from your home land to a foreign land a success.
We are screwed up mentally as people, thanks to useless African leaders.
Imagine people making relocation to foreign land a prayer point, an ambition or dream... That's now fxxkedup we are as people.
It's not from our leaders. Even if you make Nigeria a heaven today, people will still Japa. We have serious inferiority complex. Like the saying goes, Nigerians only see Nigeria as a burial ground. We don't mind cleaning toilet as long as we are around the white man. Let Europe and Africa switch continents. Leave the infrastructure behind. Blacks will follow them to Africa even if they have to sleep on the streets.
DeathParade: Your claims are as asnine as claiming that USA never landed on the moon. India designed EVERYTHING of the Tejas Mk1A fighter jet other than TWO THINGS: ENGINE AND EJECTION SEAT.
Look at the old photo below, that is the Mk1 version. See its almost mostly Indian. By officially state figures, 70% (by part count) of the Tejas Mk1 is Indian designed, developed and manufactured. That number is set to go up to 90% for Tejas Mk2. Everything from sensors, actuators, avionics, sensor fusion, weapons, fly by wire, composite structures, radome, landing gear, tires, brake discs, bubnle canopy, life support systems, etc EVERYTHING is all being developed in India FROM SCRATCH.
For the remaining 30% parts that are imported, see first photo is have posted and read below how most of those imported parts now have Indian analogues in design or testing and will shortly be replacing the imported parts
There are two Israeli flags in the photo I posted. One is for the radar, one is for the SDR. In the later Mk1A production models, instead of the Israeli radar, an Indian Gallium Arsenide AESA Radar named UTTAM AESA RADAR is to be used. That thing was developed completely in India. See photos below. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uttam_AESA_Radar The SDR is Israeli because Indian Air Force selected it for the entire air fleet. The SDR used by Indian navy is completely Indian designed and developed, so its not like we don't have the technology. Also the the Israeli SDR is manufactured in India by Indian company Astra Microwave Tech Ltd.
British flags are for ejection seat, IFR probe and radome. The new Indian radome and IFR probes have finished testing and will replace the British made counter parts. The Indian designed replacement of the British ejection seat is a recently started project and will take a few years to achieve satisfactory reliability.
French flag is for MFD. But now an Indian company BEL makes the MFD displays, so that is also history.
That leaves the American flag for the engine and the a Russian flag for the guns. The engine we can't make on our own yet. I wrote that in my first comment itself. This is the biggest technological challenge India is currently facing. And the Russian flag is for the guns, we are making that particular gun in India under license and don't want to reinvent the wheel because it's not something that we can't make or repair on our own (its not very high tech). Its low priority, so we'llkeep the Russian gun.
Indian missile and radar technologies have already crossed the critical threshold where we are making almost everything in India.
Its the same for hypersonic tech. India has DRDO HSTDV and ISRO ATV. Two separate scramjet engine programs that are completely Indian. The Russians claim they'll give us Hypersonic tech via BrahMos 2, but no deal for it has ever been signed. And Russians don't do charity. They make us pay through our nose for every single piece of tech they sell us. So your claims are bogus. Kindly read up more on the topic. You're woefully under/mis-informed.
And if you wish to claim that any particular part of what I claim to be Indian is not Indian, then please mention the exact part you are talking about and I will give you PROOF of it being Indian. This is my subject of expertise, so please go ahead and ask. Just ask one by one, don't make all those broad sweeping statements like the ones you made in your previous comment. Be specific. Like what exact thing in what exact jet is not Indian. And I'll give you accurate answer with proof. Or you can ask about a particular technology. Like radars, or missiles or focal planar arrays for use in IIR sensors, etc for example. When you are being specific, I can provide proof. So please be specific. Which tech do you think India doesn't have.
This is a video of the scientists and engineers that worked. This is just one video of a large series of videos. Just to give you an idea of exactly how, who and where the technology for Tejas was developed. Honestly, I think you are severely underestimating Indian technological prowess. India holds the world record for longest distance quantum entanglement communication over commercial optical fiber cables at around 380 km. India holds the world record for the deepest operation of a sea crawler for deep sea mining ops (Google NIOT Varaha). India is a rising technological juggernaut that countries like USA tried to sabotage many times. Yet India is developing tech that is being denied to it. Yet here you are, thinking that all Indian tech is just a hand me down from Russia or USA. If it was this simple, Nigeria would also have the same level of technological achievements that India has. There are no free lunches in this world.
Lol, 🤣 using Wikipedia as a source of information shows you don't even know what you are saying. It's a well known fact in the aviation community India has never produced a jet fighter independently. The primary core of very fighter is the engine. Then then avionics. Non is produced in India. From your logic, if I buy a car engine and electrical system from bmw to produce a vehicle. I independently produced that vehicle. I have been following fighter jet forums since 2012. Even the Indians in the forum never once claimed to produce a jet independently. Russia, China and USA all produce their jets independently. In the early 2000s China produced in collaboration with Russia. India is yet to produce any independent jet. Accept the facts as it is. India has no independently made fighter jet.
DeathParade: Indian fighter jets of Indian design that weren't made in collaboration with USA or Russia:- Retired: HAL Marut (First jet fighter designed in Asia to actually enter military service, ahead of China or Japan or Korea) In service: LCA Tejas Mk1, Mk1A In prototype stage: HAL Tejas Mk2, HAL AMCA In design stage: HAL TEDBF
LCA Tejas Mk1 and mk1a are both designed by the India government in collaboration with GE Aerospace's who designs and manufacture the F404-GE-IN20 engines for the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
The jet they discontinued and the ones in prototype are all in collaboration with a company from USA and Russia. Same goes for the India hypesonic missile which is mostly Russia tech in an India body.
GE Aerospace's is in USA. The engine, avionics, missile guidance system, are not designed or manufactured in India. Only the body and system language is. No country buys India fighter jet because they know the direct source. They design the boby of their jets and test the aerodynamics. But all core component is imported.
DeathParade: Thanks for the answers friends. Can you please tell me where I can read about Nigerian insurgency online to learn about it? I have just opened wikipedia, but I dont know if it is considered a reliable source for this conflict. Wiki has known to have biases... thanks in advance.
India does design and make its own fighter jets, starting right from raw material stage. Only in jet engine technology we are behind. But that doesn't mean we don't design and develop fighter jets independently.
India co produces it's fighter jets. Name one India fighter jet that wasn't in collaboration with Russia or USA?
But it’s high time we started parading Nigerian-built fighter jets.
If Pakistan and India can manufacture fighter jets, nothing stops us from doing the same and more.
They don't manufacture jets independently. It's in Pakistan manufactures in colab with China, India with Russia. Most of India advance fighters are from France. And both countries invest heavily on military since they expect one day they will go all out on the battlefield. USA will not do collaboration with Nigeria, neither will France or UK. And they will not want us to invite Russia or China.
invectives: I spend 3400 a month approx 5days a week power...AC,Fridge, Electric burner....ohhh I Bleep that shit up fi just 3.4k
Same here. Highest I spend in a month on light is 4k. And that's when I put on the water heater a lot. maybe they are servicing debt or the discos is taking them for a ride.
SmartPolician: The statement didn't say they run a Ponzi scheme. It says they are not licensed. The company just needs to send one of their workers to meet the SEC so they can get that license. That company is too big for this.
Until they get their license, it will be seen as a ponzi scheme. Because they will only get it if their promise on returns is achievable. If it's not, then they will never get it.
More information is needed. I know some of their agents. What exactly is the ponzi scheme behind their operations? Are they getting lands illegally? Or did they suddenly shift into real estate scams?
Earthscience: You are absolutely on point. However you saying "we the previous generation failed" is not all true! If you say some of us in the previous generation, I will agree!
Evil isn't committed by those who commit the act alone, but also by those who watch and do nothing. We didn't do anything to prevent this. We just watched as education was reduced to rumbles.
Earthscience: WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE CURRENT YOUNGER GENERATION?
We the previous generation failed them. Most of us went to school and are struggling to make ends meet. What evidence do we have to show them that getting a higher degree is beneficial? You can have MR A who has a masters barely scraping along and on dept, while MR B who invested in cybercrimes and money laundering living it up. And our society will give more respect to MR B, infact sponsor MR B into politics and ignore MR A completely.
The problem isn't Nigerian women. The problem is the type of women that attracts you. There a millions of marriages going well, we don't hear of them because bad news spread faster than good news. Just change your mentality on what you want from a woman. Speak with couples in successful marriages. You will notice that serious ladies don't talk too much, they are loud, they don't strive to be trending. Clout chasers have no destination.
Politics is a game of interest. No same politician will stay in a sinking ship. You don't bring in emotions and sentiment to politics and expect to survive. It's a dirty game where the biggest con artist wins. No saints exist in politics. Just misguided followers who just love to be lied to.
In a sane justice system, aren't all past leaders in Nigeria supposed to be in jail? Atiku has looted every office he worked under. Someone who was used as a case study in CIA and Homeland to explain corruption in Africa.
So the Church Heads cannot take half of what they dish out to people and the next thing is to use the Police to arrest them instead of leaving them to God.
So all the abuses heaped on Buhari and Emilokan, what if they decide to start arresting everyone? I remember before the general elections, most of the Church heads spewed different vitriol against Tinubu, today, he's president. Has he arrested anyone for that?
Even in civilized countries their pastors are being called out on daily basis and yet there is no threat
Nigeria is a signatory to freedom of speech among the comity of nations and we shouldn't be seen as backwards.
Cause the Nigeria Church is one of the most corrupt entities in the country.
This is just like Tinubu claiming he's fighting corruption with 70k minimum wage when 70k is just $43 from the previous 30k that was about $65
Revenue did not increase. The naira value to dollar fell and they got more naira from same or less dollars
First class accountant indeed
Mtcheew it's even the nation. I won't be surprised if the figures are lies
You should go to usa then so you can be using dollar. This is federal allocation. We have not to talk about what the state generates internally from various means, and you say it's not enough. You just love to nag, nothing else.
oroje1: You don't know me, so I'll pardon your ignorance and wrong choice of words,,,you may know much about translations as u said,in my humility I'll say I know quite a little and I'm still learning.of the many translations I've checked,I think the new world translation 2013 edition pgs 1718 -1721 tell much about the principles of Bible translation.if u can lay ur hands on it,I think you'll like it,,For our day God has given us the bible as a guide,so find a translation that hits the mark.the bible is God's voice to us,what people think about it may not matter much if it's all about finding fault in it's pages.so honest hearted individuals the message is crystal clear.
I don't need to know you, your words define you. Like I said, a cup filled with mud can never be filled with water. It takes a second to understand what that means. I am not here to change your view on life, it's pointless. You do you. You came to my comment thinking you knew better, but you didn't. I am not your average gullible individual working the street. You already told me you fear individuals who like to think and learn.
oroje1: So if I'm to believe ur transliteration of the word fruit from the Hebrew and aramaic.why should I not believe in Bible translations that were translated from the original texts.?you see,as humans we feel we know so much and so we search less for the truth.and so we want to explain God the way it suits us...false Christianity has done much harm to the Bible and so it has made many to loose interest in seeking the truths there in....if God mentioned every fruit producing trees and then mentioned with them the tree of the knowledge of good and bad then that tree is literal,,the tree stands for God's right to rule, his right to decide for mankind what is good or bad..a right that Adam ( mankind) should have realized
Lol, you suffer from the word when a glass is filled with mud you can never add clean water to it. Reading comprehension is your first problem, your second problem is your rigid nature towards knowledge, your third problem is ignorance. If you can overcome all three of these things, you will grow. I have worked with people who do translation and done translation gigs. The Christian body in charge of translating ancient languages to English has never claimed accuracy in their translation. The 21st century English version of the Bible is not the same as the 18th century version of the Bible. Till date, they still seek experts decoding the true meaning of the bible. Even the modern Bible you read is just 40% of the total books written for Christianity. Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. A man who asks questions is a fool for a minute, a man who never asks questions is a fool forever.
oroje1: Read 2Cor. 7:1 it talks about christians cleansing themselves of every defilement of FLESH and spirit, cigarettes certainly defiles the flesh as the federal ministry of health warns... Then Gen.2:16&17 say that God told Adam to eat from every other trees in the garden except from the tree of knowledge of good and bad,so denying that that tree doesn't exist means all other trees that are here today doesn't exist either.
Don't kid yourself, no modern English has any true saying to what the original Christian religion was all about. English language was never the Christian language. There is no true translation. The scrolls were all written in Hebrew and Aramaic, which were translated to Greek then to Latin, before being translated to English. There is no 90% word for word translation in the English version. Even 70% word for word translation has not been attainable. Off late, it has been suggested the Book of Genesis might have been written in poet style. That means everything has to be decoded before translation. Cannabis has always been used in ancient times, all shamans from all religion use them to connect to their gods. It has been used as painkillers. The forbidden fruit is unknown. Fruit in Hebrew and Aramaic is (p'ri/parah) both meaning fruit from a tree and the act of sex. Forbidden fruit mean something you desire to have, but it is forbidden. It doesn't refer to the act of eating something from a tree. If you want to understand Christian, you must understand Hebrew and Aramaic on a native level. English version is filled with mistranslations.
Smoking has never been a sin. No one knows what the forbidden fruit was, it's all speculation. Smoking too much is only hazardous to your health. Just like how too much alcohol is bad, too much sugar leads to diabetes. Everything is down to regulation and control. Don't consume what has control over you.
So many Nigerians need to go back to school. We have certified illiterate moving about claiming to have secondary school and university education but having the thought process of someone in primary school.
Chosimba: Looking at the comments here, it's easy to see how un-enlightened most Nigerian youths are.
This is actually a fantastic idea. The organisation is most likely over staffed and has a lot of redundancy. For them to identify such a large number of staff to remove, they are looking to streamline efficiency and reduce expenditure.
You may see N50 billion as a lot of money but trust me it costs a lot more to keep non functional staff on payroll bearing in mind that these same staff will still be paid the same N50 billion (or even more) when they eventually retire
You should know a lot of our people love to nag. The online space is filled with people who think they know but know nothing.
ValCon888: The problem with most of Africa, including the likes of Kenya and Nigeria is that these countries are historically embedded with tribal/ethnic/religious divisions.
These differences act as a catalyst for corruption and violence thereby hindering economic growth and prosperity. They also hinder the creation of powerful institutions and national systems anchored on meritocracy.
Without the above, it is nigh on impossible to create stable infrastructure that is critical for economic development.
Everyman for himself becomes the name of the game.
The political class are experts at this game, so they continue to divide and conquer us through religious and ethnic lines while they enrich themselves till perpetuity.
Tribalism and religion has nothing to do with this. No tribe or religion teaches this thing. This is a societal teaching. This is as a result of poverty mentality. When an organism believes it's living conditions are poor, it will choose survival over morals. The same westerns will go into survival mode once they believe the living condition is at a critical point. These incidents always happen in low-income environments, never in high-income environments. So religion and tribe cannot teach this.
The same people shouting tribalism here are people who will never let a minority tribe or another tribe rule their states or local government. You didn't campaign or fight for a candidate, but you expect appointments from him. Then, when he offers your tribe an appointment, you come online writing articles why your tribesmen should not work with him. If your tribesmen accept, you write another article about how they have lost your respect. Is it by tribe that Nigeria will move forward? If your tribe was so heavenly, why hasn't any single state in Nigeria match the west or Asia in development and technology? Despite the allocations that have been going there.
