The fact that USA has not passed any sanctions against Nigeria tells you that our problem is us. You can use China's growth as a case study. The current Nigeria situation is a train about to derail every time, and the passengers are just looking quietly and putting hope that the conductor will pump the brakes. No one in Nigeria is truly invested in stopping the train from derailing. Not until the people step up to take control of the train will it stop from derailing. |
PulaPower:Iceland is not super cold. Greenland is cold, Iceland land is filled with vegetation. Both nations need to swap their names. |
I love how when ignorant people love to compare substandard towns to standard ones. They don't like to show you the nice places in Nigeria. We want to keep on telling the world Nigeria is rubbish to justify hating on it. How do we as people encourage development when the places that are of the standard we refuse to show them? We should start the trend of positive PR, so people can believe and be encouraged to keep on developing. |
Samsung S22 is a green line magnet. Not helped by the fact the processor it uses overheats a lot. It can handle heavy-duty requirements, but the screen issue and overheating are terrible. The screen cost 300k to fix and repair in my area. Seriously considering just adding money and getting another previous flagship device that's not Samsung. |
ebubeson:If you did due investigation, you won't be asking these questions. Religion has never developed a country. Any religion claiming that is simply kidding themselves. Western nations are known as industrialists. Religion is all about personal belief. The issue with Nigeria's own is we drag our religious beliefs into everything and try to make everything a spiritual battle. There is nothing wrong in having a belief, but don't try and force others into it. The other thing is that we Africans have great issues in calling a spade a spade. If we defended our brothers, sisters, parents, and spouses the way we defend the so-called pastors when they are caught pants down, we wouldn't be having problems with our loved ones. |
VeryWickedBro:You have serious issues |
Learn how to manage money properly. Have the ability to save. Learn not to show off. Mismanagement of funds is one of the major reasons for poverty. |

If not for an inferiority complex, Nigeria would not be in this situation. English should never be a requirement. We just bent our backs to a lot of things in the name of modern slavery. |
That number one is killing us. Network speed and power aren't an excuse. The money you earn from working from home gigs is enough to get a solar power station and a good 5g router. Some gigs can even be done with phones. |

Is there a way to remove the funds in it before the 180 days? |
lagosrd:Lol, like the saying goes, if you want to know the flaw of democracy, just have a conversation with the common voter. This is a clear case of the doctor vs the sweet seller. Make sure you have the ability to let go of that sweet one day. |
People saying they don't pay money for it are very funny. Money isn't the most important commodity. It's information and time. You just sold both for free. These companies mine your information and sell it to information brokers every month. Africa is just an easy pick because we like to believe in magic/a quick route to making money. If someone is giving you something for free, that's because you are the item up for sale. Even Facebook and Google sell our information to the highest bidders. It's how Jumia knows you are looking for a black size 45 shoe. How Mercedes knows what region has the most money and most interest in their vehicles. At the end of the day, it's up to us how we use our time. If you believe tapping an app would be your gateway to success, so be it, I guess. |
VinnyBaba:PDP that has been in charge, what has it achieved? What's the difference between pdp and apc? Both brain rot party filled with thieves and criminals, but you people will be waving pdp like a chosen messiah. Oil producing region looking like glorified ghettos. Even LP is another den of brain rot. |
Some of the responses here are the reason why Nigeria is so difficult. Someone is asking a reasonable question, some are making fun of it or exporting tribalism and bigotry to the conversation. The last time I asked in Warri, mango rice was 105k. But they said it was subject to increment. |
Some persons on this forum should come out and just say they want the government to babysit them till they are dead. The internet has given a lot of people who know nothing about the platform to spread their poor intelligence. I don't like Tinubu as a person, but I am not going to foolishly condemn everything he does without examination. If you lack the mental capacity to examine things yourself, then shut up. Politics isn't magic. Since 1960 Nigeria has been on a downward spiral. Since we switched to a civilian system, we have been messing it up badly. All PDP and APC members who have taken offices at all levels are responsible for the current Nigeria mess. It's funny how people expect a hot mess of over 20 years to be sorted in one year. Just say that you want the corruption to favour you. Because we know a lot of people on this forum don't want Nigeria to progress just to justify religious and tribal hatred. |
Emeskhalifa:That's not what is going on. He was given an order to censor certain news on his platform, and he refused. Marcon has given him a directive now to move telegram to France. This is all for news censorship, like they did to Julian Assange. |
It was Nigerians that marketed themselves to the world as drug dealers. A lot of us love to abuse the nation without making any significant contribution to it. Outsiders see how the people have no regards for the nation. If we didn't treat our nation so poorly, none of this would happen. Also, Africa really needs to stop this tribal hate we have for each other. This Ghana, South Africa and Nigeria beef would be better channelled into science and societal development race. We should challenge ourselves to be better nations, not have pointless arguments online. The same Caucasians most of us are trying to impress sees all of us as one backwater continent. Some even think Nigeria is the capital of Africa. |
Say the truth, the protest was a scam. The real organizers didn't even come out to protest or direct their people. In my state, the organizers used it to collect money from the government, and those who came out to protest were chased home. What does looting have to do with a protest? All these fancy con artists in suits we call lawyers have not made a positive impact on Nigeria. The most annoying thing about this protest is the people are being organized by people who don't care about them. They can't send themselves or their loved ones to the protest line, but will be rallying others to do so, so they can take glory for what others used blood to accomplished. |
Goke7:They are just mad the corruption doesn't favour them. Put this people whining in office, they will loot the country dry. Most of them can't manage their household, but think they are experts. |
Xxxxtentacion2:To you it's worth nothing, to do it's a lot. Pepper body is a bad thing. Leave them to enjoy it. Like if they sent the 20k you won't take. |
So many toxic people on this forum. Just because you can't benefit some something, you condemn it. The students receiving the 20k did not complain. School fees are taken care of. Extra 20k on top, their parents or legal guardians can easily add foodstuffs or something to support them. We need to remove hatred from our hearts. Some of the persons accusing Tinubu left and right are more evil than the devil. Some can't even manage their day-to-day life properly but think they are experts. |
