No player can have a 100% big tournament record. Buffon, Ramos, Pirlo all went to tournaments and didn't pass group stage. Even Lampard himself. And it is even more understandable when the only other player that is world class in your squad is the GOALKEEPER. Still on still that did not stop Ballack from a World Cup and Euro Final while Lampard as usual with a star studded squad could not smell semi final. Just because person get 5.0gpa after final year exams, the school and department should award him/her a first class without taking into consideration 1.0GPa 100level, 0.5gpa 200level and 0.9gpa 300level.
