I'm tempted to go with your point as 5,000 is too bogus a number to run a startup. Functioning as shareholders should work or a situation where a large percentage of the 5,000 are serving as dormant contributors

Brian Keith Banks (born July 24, 1985) is a former American football linebacker. After Banks was released from prison, Gibson sent him a Facebook message saying “Let’s let bygones be bygones.” Thinking the message was odd, Banks worked with a private investigator to set up a meeting with Gibson. It was during their meeting where she admitted, on hidden camera, that she lied about the rape.
This is where it gets interesting,
Wanetta Gibson refused to repeat the story to prosecutors as she feared she would have to return a $1.5million payment she won after her mother brought a suit against Long Beach Schools. She was quoted as telling Banks: 'I will go through with helping you but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back.

1) Now considering how talented Banks was as a teenager, it’s safe to say he would have gone ahead to make a decent career in sports for himself, what’s the motivation for Gibson ruining his life?
2) The mother had to sell her properties to be able to afford the legal fees, how is it possible that Gibson and her mom were so heartless not to see the pains of that woman and change their stance instead of going through with the accusations.
3) Gibson and her mom were not contented with ruining the poor bloke’s life, they still went ahead to sue the school to the tune of 1.5 million dollars. Apt definition of greed and opportunism
4) After the secret came out, is it not odd that Gibson was more concerned with not paying the money back rather than reflecting on how she had succeeded in ruining Banks life. Selfish

It's an adaptive test, meaning it's testing your skill level and not the number of questions you answer correctly. If you answer the first question correctly, the difficulty level is supposed to increase and so on. If you find that you are answering easy questions, it probably means you have gotten some difficult questions wrong and the test result will record you having low numerical ability.
The whole thing is a very long story, and I am not an expert by any means. You can try to find out more about computer adaptive tests to satisfy your curiosity and in case you encounter it somewhere else. I wish you all the best
