These are the kind of people that are worth listening to. This kind of issue should be brought to the for so all nigerians can tackle the problem. Right from the very beginning it has been known that the so called northern leaders are not helping matters with development of the country. Instead of focussing on what they can do to develop their area they focus more on issues that concern zoning and what have you. This is why education is good and necessary for the development of the nation I won't be surprised this revolution being talked about is directed at the north, this is because its only a place where leaders are so corrupt to a fault that you find such thing happening. Yet they deprive their people of the basic education needed in a society. This is just the beginning, more revelations are coming followed by a complete revolution. I rest my case! |
trolling: cuz they have been ruled by people in darkness |
In a today's press release in Kano, Dr. Muhammad said Rivers "coming to the limelight because of the irresponsible, unconstitutional and bizarre, illiterate actions, of the so called first lady Mrs. Patience Jonathan, who hails from the island village of Okrika in Rivers State and who sees not only Okrika but the whole of Rivers States, as her personal domain to exploit, abuse and destabilize as she sees fit because her husband Jonathan happens to be the president " As at the time of writing, the commissioner of police in Rivers, his command structure and other security services are at the command of Patience Jonathan, and by her and presidential orders, most security facilities due governor, the speaker and others so entitled, have been withdrawn. Mean- while professional thugs and all manner of criminals are being recruited and pressed into service to destabilize the elected government of Rivers State." Stressing that those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat its mistakes, Dr. Muhammad pointed out that current developments in the PDP and especially in Rivers State bear an uncanny resemblance to the old Western Region, which led to the collapse of the first republic, with very serious and bloody consequences. Then and now, the popularly elected leaders of those parts of the country were prevented from exercising political power and control, and the operations of the police, the army and the rump of security services were interfered with in a brazen political manner. "The current CP Rivers, is bending over backwards to accommodate the president, his cronies and his illiterate wife, to ignore or pervert the law and the constitution and norms of decent political behavior, to harass, intimidate Governor Rotimi Amaechi, and thus destabilize, a strategic state like Rivers. Those in the PDP who imagine that this serious and fundamental crisis can be contained by some band aid or artificial cordon sanitaire, have a shocker awaiting them," he said. He noted that the overriding attitude of PDP leadership, the PDP president, his cronies etc. is an open invitation to anarchy, for his party, his tottering crisis prone government and most unfortunately for Nigeria. "The preponderance of the PDP in the governing processes is a clear and present danger to democracy," the statement said. "Add to that the dictatorial proclivities of the party leadership and penchant for hand picking illiterates and corrupt thugs into key and sensitive positions; you have the making of an inevitable disaster." Dr. Muhammad stressed that the latest developments throw into doubt the very possibilities of elections in 2015, those elections being the very reason for the desperate manouvres now being undertaken. "If the de-facto commander-in-chief, the de-facto defence Minister and army commander Gen. Ihejirika who is an in-law to Patience [Jonathan], and his police and S.S.S. counterparts, are behaving in openly political partisan manner as heads of Jonathan's personal militia, it goes without saying that Jega's INEC will hold no elections worth the name," he declared, calling on all Nigerians who cherish democracy to stand up and be counted. He stressed that Rivers State and the fate of its governor must be of enormous concern to all democrats and patriots, pointing out that within Rivers State and beyond it, evil thrives when good and decent people take their eyes off the ball or pretend it is of no concern to them or is unrelated to neighborhoods. "Personally I do not know and have never met Gov. Rotimi Amaechi in person, in Port Harcourt or anywhere else on earth," he declared. "I have not been to Rivers State since the expiry of my national service in the defunct OMPADEC (now NDDC) in 1996. I am however invested in Amaechi's struggles because I believe democracy is the only way to govern a free people rationally, and to exercise legitimate power over a free people. If the PDP and its incompetent president treat this country like a conquered and vanquished people, they must be cured of their delusion, soonest." http://m.naij.com/news/38457.html[/quote]What's all this nonsense, is this the kind of utterance someone who claims to be learned is suppose to be saying. Is this what freedom of speech is about? For crying out loud why do we just like to heat up up the polity with vulgar statements. I am very sure the speaker doesn't understand the word illiterate, how can one utter such comment and to make matters worse involving the chief of army staff, some people need to be cautioned on how to talk in public, these comments a pure tribalism, if he doesn't have anything reasonable to say that will better the lot of his own people he should just shut up and go and sleep! |

Yet, a paid PDP dog is here telling us about selfishness? You guys should be quiet if you don't have anything constructive to contribute, when there are better issues to talk about you create a forum to discuss how much was spent on this and that! Utter nonsense. We are looking for a way to move the country forward and some nonentities are raising irrelevant issues that can not help the common man, what rubbish! Mchew |
What more can we say? You've said it all, no wonder the Biafrans are always agitating for their country(self actualisation). The problem with us Nigerians is that we never learn and never want to. Can there ever be progress in this country? I pray and hope we realise the truth before we perish, and that might just be what some people are hoping for (for the country to disintegrate) well one thing is certain, God the almighty creator will pull down all evil forces drawing this country backward, and after pulling them down, will raise new spirited beings who are willing and ready to do the right thing by joining hands together to build this nation and the poor liberated from their state of hopelessness (that is if they a willing to). Amen |

Maxymilliano: JFK puts it nicely, those who foolishly try seeking power by riding the back of the tiger, instead end up in the belly of the tiger... Excerpt from JFK inaugural speech Jan 20, 1961.Gbam! |
norrisman: Very interesting.I totally agree, buhari has really meant well to fight corruption but the problem has always being his utterances, if only buhari could be constructive in his criticisms and support his local govt by developing it and creating that atmosphere of good leadership, I tell you he would win tremendous support, its never still to late though cos I have always supported his good stand against corruption. I believe the 2007 election was warn by him cos the govt in power then said it, that he new his election were rigged but then 2011 election was never rigged, and if it was it would be some parties that did not win and just wanted to cause mayhem. Buhari sshould change his style of approach to issues and try to win the support of everyone and not uttering the wrong statement and sending out wrong signals that can disintegrate the country! |
phemi01: foreigners must do everything for us in nigeria. See thm jumping up n down like they just gained independence. With all the money ur leaders are stealing, they still have to soleLy depend on foreign investors to do everything. Una neva see anything. Ur all going back to the slave trade era sooner than u know. Nigerians are already suffering from serious mental slavery though.Be constructive in your opposition! The companies, industries and big organisations in America, were they built by just the American government? They are owned mainly by private investors both foreigners and locals, or do you fink we are still in the era of mediocrity. Mchew |
Very interesting, but why shekau come high pass the others. That guy sure is in big trouble! |
sheyie2007: Laudable! See the next president in action... If I hear buha## I'll break his back boneIf only all state governors think the way he thinks, the problem of the country would have been greatly reduced. Instead everyone(state) are expecting manner to fall from the centre. |
How did these paparazzi get all these info, to the extent of reading out private text messages, hmm something sounds suspicious. As for him contesting for presidency there is no problem, that is if he does not chase after all the women in high places at the expense of good governance. |
owobokiri: Parties have the right to organize their party primaries the way they deem fit.., as stipulated by their party constitutions..., which they can amend, re amend and amend to suit the party goals at any given time! Obviously GEJ IS IN A BIG MESS, and that is putting it mildly. I cant believe that a sitting president with all his abundant powers can allow himself to be boxed into a corner by a bunch of vociferous governors snarling left and right like wild hyenas. This latest decree from Anenih just confirms that the whole house is on fire. Governors have gone rouge and their latest victory at the GF election has added more confidence within their ranks while sending the house at Aso into panic mode.. But then, who are these emergency revolutionaries?? Are they any inch better? The answer is no . If the opposition within is motivated by higher ideals, it would have been cool to see many Nigerians join ranks and usher in better characters into officialdom,.. but what we have here is a ruthless gang up by a clan of ethnic upstarts and religious bigots marshaled with the funds flowing from the accounts of highly corrupt but disillusioned members of the ruling elite. This group are very upset but the reasons for their anger are based on selfish intentions. There is no better alternative within the PDP opposition or even within the ACN. It is the same bunch that has held the country down since 1970. So i will enjoin the good people of Naijeiriya to stick with the devil you know.Your last statement is very on point |

There is no such thing as northerner or southerner when it comes to voting. It is not region that counts but individual votes or do you think rigging is still an option. Let's for Gods' sake speak like Nigerians and not sectional or regional bigots. |

komekn: Gregg2's ,I am perplexed about the intent and purpose of your observations, I would have called them deductions but they are devoid of rationality, they probably would make some sort of sense in a meeting of the village branch of the NURTW.What is so special about Amaechi being reappointed or dissappointed from being the NGF chairman. Hmm I wonder were some people are going with this. Please fellow Nigerian let's work together and move this great country forward and don't let us draw ourselves backward. I think its important we do what is right and forget about all these bragadocious frivolities. |

These people are very funny, they come out with fictitious assessment of Mr. President. They always come up with assessments that lacks even rudimentary empirical basis.
