eleojo23: Continuously? O boy!
You will need to dedicate a room to your setup o because if you use a 12v system, you will need about 40 pieces of 200ah batteries! The price of batteries alone is about 4Million+
Wait for more input from the veterans on this thread, they might have a way around it.
O boy. Maybe get 5KVA 96V then 5 strings of 8 x 200AH batteries. Making up 40 batteries or 5KVA 120V with 4 strings of 10 x 200AH. I dunno ♀️ |

idsolar: how many panels do u have and wattage? you can do series and parallel connection I have 4 x 150watts and they’re all arranged in a horizontal line |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ahyjo: 5:49pm On Sep 01, 2019 |
idsolar: from experience I advise you go for 24v system. 12v setup in anyway is cagey. restructure your cost. u can use 100/150a,12v batr (quanta o!). u can do 1.5kva wt this. see below Okay I’ll consider this. But pls do I have to change my panels too as they’re all 12Vs ? |

Experts please pardon my excessive questions but batteries cost a fortune and with the current economy I’m trying to make the best possible decision. Which is the best system: 1. 4 x 6V batteries of 200AH each or 1. 2 x 12V batteries of 200AH each
Both in a 12V system. In short, is there an advantage of buying 6V over 12Vs? |

NiyiOmoIyunade: I have never seen or used the brown carton Quanta - just pictures here on NL.
The batteries from the hitherto main importer come in the white carton - again the batteries are genuine not because of the color of carton or any numbers or codes written on them but rather because they come straight from the original manufacturer plant. This is the test of genuineness - an unbroken chain verified from manufacturer to your source of purchase.
For this reason I never buy from any reseller even in times of scarcity but rather go straight to the source.
Please can you hook me up with the source ? |

Good afternoon. Pls experts in the house should weigh in on this: Hoppecke or Quanta or Monbat
From your experience, which is the best amongst the three batteries? Thank you. |

eleojo23: Our voltage in Nigeria is around 220v so 1.054A X 220V will give you about 230w
But if you calculate with 110v it will be 115w

BetaTechnicians: 2 x 6V - 210AH gives 12V 210AH... 2520W 2 x 12V - 210AH gives 12V 420AH... 5040W. You can compare the figures yourself. Thanks a lot. |

adrusa: Nope! 2x6V 210AH is half of 2x12v 210AH. Don't believe anyone who tells you they are the same. He is either a conman or doesn't know what he is doing. Thanks once again. |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Ahyjo: 12:42am On Aug 28, 2019 |
BetaTechnicians: Second option would give longer hours but except you introduce additional charging unit, I doubt your inverter can sufficiently charge it, which means earlier death for your batteries. So, first option is safer. I have two 150 watts solar panels and about to add another two. The two batteries usually get sufficient charge on most days from PHCN. My problem is I want to change the batteries now and was considering 6V batteries. Was told 2x6V 210AH will still give me what 2x12V 210AH will in a 12V system. |

Hello everyone here. Please I’d like the experts to advice me on which option to go for (I use a 1.5KVA 12V inverter) : 1. 2 6V 210AH batteries or 2. 2 12V 210AH batteries
I’d like to know which will provide longer hours. Thank you. |
