I read the whole pages of this thread but still dont understand the concept of milestone. A client just set up 4 milestones for me. Do I request a release right now or after the project

It depends on the size of the job. You can request for the milestone to be released in instalments. For example, if you are to deliver 20 articles, you demand a milestone release after you finish the first 5 and so on.

This is easier than requesting the whole set of milestones at the end, when you complete the whole project.
