Mine's Kim Tan. Watching Heirs got me hooked into watching contemporary kdramas as opposed to historicals and period/saguek dramas which was all I watched in the beginning. So I definitely have a soft spot for Lee Min Ho/Kim Tan/Heirs.


Not sure why people hate on that drama so much.

They wear pink for women, blue for men and have you noticed how cute it is when they put the towel on their head and roll it around the ears.

And those are sheep/lamb head towels or a "Towel bun". Very easy to make, learned how to some time ago.

While the polls continue, here are some of the things Kdramas make me do;

1) They make me forget how important sleep is: I'm like I'll just watch the first 2 episodes and sleep, but I'll greedily watch another episode, and another, especially when there is light, before I discover it's almost 6am and I have classes in the morning. Needless to say, I'm pretty much useless the whole morning as I'll be dozing and dreaming a drama.

2) I find myself using K expressions in everyday life: I won't know when 'Aigoo' will slip outta my mouth when tired or frustrated, or replying someone with 'Araso' and they're wondering what is this one saying? Lol

3) I begin to sing (chewing my mouth sometimes) and dance to their OSTs. Kdrama OST can be really great, except when they annoy you by being played over and over in almost every scene. I thought 'Almost Paradise' in BOF was bad till I watched the Heirs where Love was always the Moment.

4) I want to eat noodles with chopsticks. I find it cute when they're downing Ramyun and Jjajjangmyun with chopsticks and I tried it once using pencils. Apart from the fact that it was unhygienic, no one told me to quit being silly and get a fork, lol.

5) Here comes the materialistic part - I want a Chaebol boyfriend. Since 50% of Kdrama guys are 2nd and 3rd generation chaebols, I want one . Who wouldn't want a Gu Jun Pyo that'll want to take me to Japan just to eat crabs, or fly me to New Caledonia for the weekend, plus taking my best friend along so I'll not get lonely during the trip.

6) Making me laugh like a mad person in the middle of the night during a funny scene, or bang my legs on the bed in frustration. Kdramas are sweeter at night though

- was never into instant noodles but now Kdramas make me devour them by the carton loads. During drama binges mind you. Plus the requisite boiled eggs

- you use korean expressions?? HA! I even THINK in Korean ie my thoughts are translated to everyday Korean. Jebal/Chebal (please) pali pali (hurry) nomunomunomu (very very very much) and other thoughts run daily through my mind whole going over everyday tasks

- Kdramas make me have a bias whose 700+ photos adorn my phone and lappy (take a wild guess who )


And sooo many more, too numerous to mention.

But seriously who else wants to hang out at a Korean public bath house?

Or go to a street side spot for some soju and roasted meats/ pig skins?

Or even rent out a karaoke room and sing along to our fave Kdrama OST?

If yes count me in! We could do the group event thing they do in almost every Kdrama

Yes I know she chose that 'look' for the drama and luckily it paid off tho a lot of folks complained she looked ugly...

To me it made her look younger and more engaging to watch.

I feel bad too. So much pressure for a popular actor to get a lead role at least once. Not too many great scripts out there... And all the best series get snapped up by the more enticing stars like Ji Chang Wook, Yoo Chun etc
